Metropolitan Moving & Storage

It went fine, except that the truck was large enough that they had to move it four times so other smaller trucks/bus/van could get by. We lost a lot of time that way. Also, one of the estimators and the receptionist were rude. For that reason only, I will look for a different moving company next time. The actual movers were professional and courteous and extremely hardworking.

The movers were extremely careful and attentive to where all my items belonged. It was a lot of work for five floors in my home and they placed every box where it belong send didn't damage or scratch one single wall. Very nice work!

Metropolitsn waas EXCELLENT! The process from begining to end was easy and seemless. The gentlemen that came to pick up our items & bring them back were PERFECT. I would use Metropolitan again and would suggest you use them if you have a need for this type of service!

these guys were great. super easy to schedule (and i changed my date 3 times), so professional, nothign broken, and special crates created for my specialty tables. They were on the more $ side when i got a couple quotes but totally worth it. the movers did anything i wanted them to do and were good listeners.

Excellent. Moved contents of 1,800 sf house. The crew was top notch packing and loading. Very efficient, thorough and conscientious. They arrived on time in both locations and finished sooner than expected. Nothing was broken or damaged.

I was really happy with Metropolitan Moving - from the initial quote through the day of and even after the move, the company was attentive and very customer service oriented. The movers themselves were professional, friendly, helpful and fast. They made the day as seamless as possible and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy.

We hired Metropolitan Moving and Storage to move my grandparents’ and great grandparents’ furniture from Columbia to the DC area. The movers were very prompt, efficient, and took excellent care of the antique furniture and piano. Once at my house they moved a second piano and a few other pieces for me. I highly recommend them and will definitely hire them again when the need arises.

The movers were wonderful! Friendly and worked quickly, and were happy to accommodate all our random requests. Price was fair and competitive and matched our estimate.

Excellent staff who packed for storage and shipping. Boxes clearly labeled. Assisted with box arrangement in the storage unit for easy access to critical items. I highly recommend Metropolitan Movers and plan to use them again when moving out of storage.

Everyone was great - arrived on time, called to confirm a few days before, were quick and packed really well. They were careful and kept a list of everything. They even made a small repair on a piece that would allow it to be transported without breakage. I feel more assured that my things will come out of storage the same as they went in. Would definitely use again.

Metropolitan Moving and Storage were jus tremendous. They did a great job packing and moving. Assisted me in loading a truck that I took as well. They could not have been better. Extremely friendly and kind. My wife and I only have the highest praise.

It went great! Was the third time I used this company for a move and they all went very well. The staff in the office and the movers were all professional and hard-working. They did did whatever we asked without hesitation.

Our stuff got where it needed to go, but it was quite an experience. The crew was not gentle at all with the furniture, leaving deep nicks and gouges in the wood table. They nearly walked off with my radio (they had borrowed it for the move) until I interrupted them and asked for it back. It wasn't a positive experience.

Smooth as silk! Movers were Very industrious, polite, courteous. They dropped off furniture at my daughter’s house then delivered to my new condo. Nothing was damaged. They placed everything where I wanted it. Very pleased with the entire experience.

The team, lead by Jorge, was amazing. I don't have a bad thing to say about them. They were punctual and worked both quickly and efficiently. Jorge, was a dream to work with. He lead his team over a 3 day move excellently. Would recommend Metropolitan Moving and Storage to anyone!

Our move to Delaware could not have gone better. Metropolitan was highly responsive and thoroughly explained everything from start to finish. There were no unexpected charges. The movers themselves were very professional, and took exceptional care of our belongings. We would highly recommend this moving company.

After receiving several quotes from competing moving companies, we decided to hire Metropolitan for our family's move from SE DC to Bethesda, MD. We were impressed with their competitive and fair pricing and their understanding and planning for our move which I discussed with their estimator. We have two young children and also decided to have their team come out the day before our move to pack our kitchen and several other areas of our home. The Metropolitan team, both on packing and moving day, was EARLY and prepared to get the day packing/moving started. I was impressed with their professionalism throughout both days. They were diligent, hard working and efficient. As an extra bonus, they came in UNDER the estimate they provided. We were so impressed with their services, we hired them again to move some furniture and items from a storage unit to our home. Something we originally thought we'd hire a Uhaul for and do ourselves. We will definitely use Metropolitan again for any packing or moving services in the future and would recommend them to any of our friends and family.

The 2 movers showed up promptly and on-time. They were able to accommodate some last-minute additions to what we wanted them to help us with. Furniture seemed well-protected and all arrived without any obvious signs of damage; they took great care beforehand to point out any existing nicks and dings. B for professionalism because of some awkward conversation with the movers about my husband when he had left the room.

It went beautifully. The crew showed up 15 minutes early and went right to work. They knew where to park, got elevator ready immediately and got to work. Very quick, very careful, very professional. I was very, very pleased and thanked the person who recommended them to me profusely. Highly recommend. Very happy. Job well done!

They did an excellent moving job for us all three times. The first two were in-town moves within Montgomery County (MD). The third was an out-of-state move to Illinois. They also came by to pack a van for us before we drove it with a shipment of goods. They were consistently responsive, prompt, polite, and professional -- I have absolutely no complaints. I recommend them highly. They may be more expensive than some other movers but they give great value because they're so reliable. They use all-local crews who they work with consistently over time. They estimate all their jobs, sometimes estimating higher than it actually ends up being. You might find another mover who gives you a lower estimate but keep in mind that they might low-ball you or use unreliable crews.
