When I needed a new range, I opted to replace the old electric one with a gas version. I thought this would be easy because there was a gas pipe right where the range would go. Unfortunately when we went to hook up the new range we found out that the pipe was part of an old gas system and no longer supplies gas--it just dead-ends inside the wall. I called Laurel Plumbing and Bernie came out very quickly to do an estimate. He and his wife handled all the necessary permits and arranged the inspection. The job was done well, finished quickly, and the price was very reasonable. I will most definitely call Laurel Plumbing again if I encounter any more plumbing issues. This all happened the week before Thanksgiving, of course. I very much appreciated Laurel Plumbing getting my kitchen back in working order before the holiday!

I called on Thursday afternoon before a holiday weekend and Bernie was able to come out the next day. I was given a two-hour approximate arrival window, and he arrived within that space. He was very friendly and professional, and happy to answer all of my questions about that particular job and his business in general. I'm no expert in evaluating the craftsmanship of a plumber, but I was pleased with the work, everything is working great now, and I would hire these guys again if the need arises. I found them pleasant and agreeable to deal with.

I am extremely pleased with my experience with Laurel Plumbing. My sump pump kept tripping the circuit breaker causing all sorts of other problems. I called several companies and Laurel Plumbing was very responsive, with the most reasonable estimate. I called this morning and scheduled repair for tomorrow morning. Bernie, the owner called back and said they had a cancellation and Joe could repair it today. Joe was prompt and very professional and knowledgeable. He completed the job quickly and thoroughly. I would recommend this company and call on them again without reservation.

They were prompt, professional but friendly, and worked steadily, it took about 3 hrs. We will go back to them when the need arises.

I called Laurel Plumbing the morning after noticing a 3" water spot and buckling of paint in the ceiling of my family room that I thought it was the result of a clogged sink in an upstairs bathroom. The person who answered the phone said that I could be seen in 30 minutes. Although it wasn't an emergency, I appreciated being worked in so quickly. The plumber (Joe T.) arrived within the specified time-frame and I showed him the issue. He inspected the bathrooms on the upper floor and shared a couple of maintenance tips for my shower and the clogged sink to prevent water issues later on. The information was helpful and it showed he knew his craft. None of his suggestions involved calling a plumber, which means he was trying to be helpful and not just looking for more work. The plumber unclogged the sink, but did not think it was the source of the water spot. He stated that he may have to open up the ceiling to find the source of the spot. Needless to say, I didn't want to do that if it wasn't absolutely necessary. Then he did something unexpected--he asked to go out on my deck to look at the roof. We got a small ladder to assist in seeing the flashing better. He stated that I had a shingle slipping and a little buckling visible and that this was probably the source of my problem. He assisted me up on the ladder so that I could see it for myself. He went on to explain why he thought the source was my roof in terms that I could easily understand and that made sense. I really appreciate a service person who treats me with respect and assists me in being knowledgeable about my home. As a woman who has had to deal with male service providers on various home maintenance issues, I know this is not my usual experience. I had a $15 off coupon from Angie's List so I paid $100 for the service call. He was at my home for approximately 45 minutes so I call that pretty fair. I will continue to call Laurel Plumbing for future plumbing needs due to their responsiveness, professionalism, and knowledge.

He was very professional and was able to clear the clog without having to use the costly machine I was originally quoted. He investigated the problem thoroughly before having to use any major equipment.

AMAZING!! A few people other companies gave me estimates today for $1000 plus for only the two services listed above. Laurel Plumbing was the last estimate of the day. I was planning to send them packing and start over again tomorrow. Then I swear the plumber arrived and I was taken back to Mayberry (in the best possible way!) He told me what needed to be done and gave me a quote of $350. He fixed my first problem, then went back to the shop to get a part and came right back to complete the job. He then found another problem and it really was a problem, not something added on and fixed that too. All for the $600. He didn't bad mouth the builders or any previous plumbers. He was very very old school polite - yes ma'am to everything. I just really liked the way that he made me feel as a customer. That is rare nowadays. You always wonder if service companies are telling the truth. He gave me advice about potential problems down the line and showed me how to care for the current system. I LOVE Laurel Plumbing. I passed their information on to family members and even posted it on social media. Never thought I would really care enough about a plumbing company to write a review, but this was not the average plumbing company. Really felt like small town USA! I had a coupon from Angie's List and I didn't use it because I was that happy with the service. If I had the finances I would have given him a tip. He even showed me pictures of his garden! Just really personable and attentive to customer service!!! I don't want to post the plumbers name, but if Laurel Plumbing reads this find the plumber who went on the service call to Adrian Charley on 6/20/14! He really represented your company well!

Holes had to be cut in kitchen and basement walls to do the job correctly and new piping with proper connections was installed.

Their service and cleanup was excellent. They were professional. I've used them before and will use them again.

Fabulous! The plumber was professional, explained everything to me, and even gave me suggestions for preventing the issue next winter.

After getting an estimate from another company which was extremely high and not in my budget, I looked on the web for plumbers in my immediate area and came across Laurel Plumbing. I reviewed their website in which they had been reveiewed by Angie's List and had an "A" rating. I called Laurel Plumbing for a second opinion and estimate. Joe fom Laurel Plumbing came out within an hour of my call and assessed the issue, explained the needed repair in terms i could understand and gave me a fantastic estimate that just happened to be within my budget. Laurel Plumbing's estimate was less then half of the first estimate I received from another plumber! Laurel Plumbing replaced my upstairs shower drain, overflow and waste. Joe (who performed the work) was professional, curtious, on-time and performed outstanding work in a short amount of time! I cannot thank them enough! I highly recommend Laurel Plumbing and especially Joe! I will hire them again for any plumbing needs we have in the future.

Our tub was extremely slow draining. They came out on a day we had free and snaked the drain. The also cleaned it with acid and provided us with the details on how to keep the drain clean to prevent future service calls. Overall they were excellent.

This is the 4th or 5th time I've called Laurel Plumbing. For this call, they were able to come out within a day of my call for service. The service tech was friendly and efficient. Previously, they re-did a bathroom in my home, including installing a new tile floor, a new tub and shower surround, green board above the surround, a new sink and vanity, and a new toilet. The pricing on this project was under $8K and the work was started and finished within 1 week (including the curing of the tile floor and tub).

I called the company on Saturday and, half an hour later, I had the company's owner, Bernie, at my house (apparently he works on the weekends so his employees have weekends off). Poor Bernie had to remove two sink-fulls of toxic DRANO before he could get to the root of the problem. In spite of the fact that this was apparently one of the worst clogs Bernie has ever seen, he was able to fix the problem within an hour. He left the area clean.

We recently moved to a 'new' house (built 1961). The old concrete tub in the basement was leaking, the sump pump was draining to the sink instead of outside, the pressure reducing valve was leaking. We had used the company in our old house to clear a drain and were pleased with that experience, so we called them again. The estimate was reasonable so we hired them to fix these items. Joe came yesterday, was here for about 5 hours, and completed all the work. He was respectful and polite. He installed a new pipe from the sump pump through the concrete block wall to outside. Additionally he discovered a problem with the wiring of the water heater, the wire had been partially stripped; when he moved it sparks flew! He fixed that at no additional charge.

Submitted previous report for different service call from same company. This experience was much worse. Our bathroom sink was slow draining. I had tried to clear this with a hand snake, but that was unsuccessful and the snake became stuck in the drain. When I tried to remove the snake, it began to deform rather than come out of the drain. When I telephoned the company and scheduled the service I clearly explained the full situation and was quoted a $125 price, including removal of the snake. The plumber arrived about 20 minutes late, removed my snake, and used a motor driven snake to remove a couple baby wipes from the drain. He then reassembled the drain pipes and informed me that I owed $140, insisting that an extra charge was in order for removing the stuck snake, in spite of the fact that he had not needed to disassemble the drain pipes. To be frank, I felt physically intimidated by the man, who is a foot taller than me and probably 100 pounds more than me. Between the intimidation and my need to get to my job, I didn't argue the price increase, paid the man, and went to work. Upon returning home, we discovered that the drain was leaking, although it did not run slow anymore. When we called to have them return to fix the leak, they put me on hold, then said they'd call back within an hour. Instead, it was two days. They then made a big deal about how they would charge us again if the leak was our fault. Since we hadn't touched the pipes, I insisted that this repair should be free. They came again, and I wasn't home this time (a babysitter let them in). Unfortunately, not only does the drain pipe still leak, but is it slow running again.

I called Laurel Plumbing in the morning asking if they could squeeze me in since I needed a dishwasher installed before I left town on travel. They juggled their schedule at fit me in by 2 o'clock. The repairman arrived on time. The job was more difficult that expected because of the way that the kitchen floor was made. Even so, Laurel did not increase the cost and stuck to the price they had given me--which was very competitive. Only negative was that they said they'd call before the installer arrived but did not--he just showed up and I was away from the house.

This company installed the hot water heater in 2005 and has performed the annual inspections ever since. They do quality work, at a fair price.

The estimate I received on the phone was the cheapest of the several companies I called. They were able to schedule the work the next day. The plumber who installed the water heater was prompt, efficient, and kept the work area clean (which is important since my water heater is in a closet in my dining room).

A "handy man" had installed a pedestal sink without properly mounting it. After a year, it came unmounted. We tried to fix this ourselves, but that didn't go well. Thus we contacted this company. The re-installation went fine and has held up for over a month. A couple points regarding the man who did the work: He reeked of cigarette smoke, which causes problems for both my wife and myself. He also kept telling me how good he was at what he was doing, which would be fine once, but began to sound like bragging after a while. OTOH, he was responsive to questions and even provided some helpful suggestions for how I could fix another plumbing problem we had.

Everything was done very professionally and he explained things well.

When I first contacted LPH, I didn't know where the damaged pipe was. While they did not have the equipment to scope the line, they were able to refer me to a company that could. That level of courtesy and professionalism was continued throughout the entire process of digging up and replacing the damaged pipe. No estimate was given ahead of time for the job, as there were too many unknown factors involved, the only way to determine the extent of the damage was to dig up the pipe and check. They spent three days working on the project, and I think the final cost was very reasonable for that much work. They did a great job cleaning up the considerable mess that this kind of work leaves too. I am thrilled with the work they did, and would highly recommend them!

They came on time, reasonably priced and they were very courteous.

Laural Plumbing was quick to respond, very professional, reasonably priced and identified the problem and resolved it very quickly. I was very satisfied with their response and their work and will use them again if the need arises.

They are super fast at scheduling, very prompt on coming out and thorough with the job. A week after they had installed the toilet we noticed an ever so slight leak. We had called them and they immediately came out and adjusted the bolt. It was a situation where if it was tighten too much it would cause damage to the fixture and not enough there would be a leak. They came back at no charge.
