Professional from the moment they showed up!! For the initial diagnosis, JDL Technician Ire (eye-ree) did a quick once over on the indoor portion of my A/C. He showed me a few things that will need to be taken care of in the near future, but not related to the issue at hand. He went outside to see the culprit. I turned on the A/C and nothing happened, which to me was unexpected as the unit had been squealing like crazy when turned on. Ire quickly checked out a few things to narrow the possibilities to the condenser fan motor, which had seized. As it is an older unit, the part would have to be picked up the next day at the earliest. The motor was procured and my install was scheduled for the following day. Two very knowledgeable JDL Specialists (Xavier and Gawayne) showed up with the new motor. They quickly removed the old part, installed the new one and had the unit up and running within an hour. As the outdoor unit was filthy with moss, mold and other debris, which is probably why the motor went bad (if the fan can't draw air thru the cooling fins, it works too hard), I let them upsell me on cleaning the unit. It was amazing how much crud had built up. Now it not only runs better and quieter than it has in years, it looks almost new. Good job everyone, from the office to the techs!

JDL sent repairman Ian, who was prompt and extremely knowledgeable, and he offered several options for the repair. I am very satisfied with this vendor.

The contractor was excellent!! He even provided me advise, guidance and information the previous contractor I hired never provided.

The office promised us to waive the diagnostic fee because my very handy husband knew for sure which of two components had failed and needed work, but they forgot to mention this to the repair crew, which caused a little consternation when the bill was presented -- but everything was straightened out quickly before the crew left.

They were able to go to my home soon after my request. They explained everything to me and gave the options available.

The tech guys were great. Ian and ...? so sorry, I've forgotten. I thought they were thorough, explained all to me. Neat, quick, on time, courteous. Cost more than I had expected, so verify.

They were here all day, 2 days in a row to fix my heating system. After the second day they got the heat working, but within a few hours it broke down again. I have paid them over 1,000 dollars, and they are back for the third day but they do not seem to know what is wrong. And I am freezing!

They were absolutely wonderful through the whole process of repairing our heat pump. They went above and beyond to ensure that they had correctly diagnosed the issue and repaired it in no time. They are absolutely the right choice, and I will be using them for all of my HVAC servicing and needs in the future.

JDL HVAC Services was the contractor provided by our home warranty company to repair our heating system. They were initially prompt and came out to the house and attempted to diagnose the problem. The technician thought the problem was the circuit board and JDL delivered a replacement from Carrier the same day. Unfortunately, the part did not fix the problem and the technician thought the replacement part was defective. Unfortunately, it was Friday and Carrier was not open on the weekend. I specifically asked the technician what would happen on Monday and was told that JDL would get a new part Monday morning and then come to the house immediately to install it. This was very important since we had no heat on Friday and over the weekend and the temperature dropped below 20 degrees at night. Monday was a disaster. Unknown by us, JDL called at 7:30 a.m. and when we did not answer, they removed us from their schedule. At 8:30, we realized they had called and contacted Joe and he added us back to the schedule, but in the afternoon. When a new (more experienced) technician showed up, he did NOT bring any replacement parts. When I called Joe to inquiry why the technician had no parts with him as promised Friday, he said he will not buy another part because he could not get a refund on the first replacement circuit board. He also was not convinced the heater circuit board was the problem and wanted to do more diagnostics. I also asked Joe why they did not come out in the morning as originally promised, and he had the audacity to blame us for not answering his phone call which we had no idea to expect. He also blamed his technician for providing us incorrect information. He did put another employee on standby to get parts from Carrier once the new diagnosis was complete. The new technician found another part that had failed and it was delivered with the original replacement circuit board. Both replacement parts were installed. While the technicians were friendly and informative, Joe was rude and lacked friendly or acceptable customer service skills/friendly. He also does not keep his technicians informed (the new technicians could not answer any of my questions) and it did not appear the technicians speak to each other when they transfer a repair. Overall this was not a positive experience due to the poor customer service from Joe. He did call apologies (left a voicemail) after the repair was complete.

It was around 6:30 pm, so well after business hours, on a sub-freezing, Winter night, when my 24 year old furnace shut down. It was not 10 seconds after hitting the button to submit my Angie's List questionnaire about my problem, even before I could receive their list of recommended service providers, that my phone rang. I thought, it couldn't be...but it was... someone responding to my distress call. It was Joe, owner of JDL HVAC Services. Despite the late, inconvenient hour, Joe and Ire had my problem diagnosed within a few hours. Their response time took my breath away. I called another company, hoping for a second bid, and they said that despite the fact that I was an existing customer, if I was not a member of their Eagle something-or-another, priority program, I would receive a call in the morning. That call never came. I was flooded with calls from service providers for 24 hours who could attend to my problem anywhere from tomorrow to a week from now. Remember it's Winter, with sub-freezing temperatures. I told them that by time they appeared to diagnose the problem, the job would be done. JDL HVAC Services first texted at 6:30am the next morning. (I had told them to contact me at any time.) Despite glowing reviews and an A+ rating, I was nervous since I had not used them previously and I had not been able to secure any other bids within my timeframe. After I decided to sign a contract, JDL HVAC Services showed-up in force with 3 trucks and several men. Within less than 24 hours from my initial call, Joe and his team installed an entirely new, high-quality HVAC system. Before 5:00pm the day after my first, after hours distress call, the job was finished. JDL HVAC Services did the job with dispatch, efficiency, a great system and professionalism. I will be using them again and recommending them to friends, family and neighbors.

We have just had a new furnace and air conditioner installed by JDL HVAC Services. The furnace quit on one of those below freezing days. I called on a Wednesday and JDH had it installed on Friday. They were able work us in as they realized, we had a big problem. They came on time, complete with a competent qualified crew, a new furnace and air conditioner. They were extraordinarily clean, efficient, courteous and understanding. I would highly recommend them for any heating and air conditioning needed. They are generously honest and very nice people.

These guys are fantastic. Joe and his team came to our home very quickly to assess our heating problem on the coldest day of the season. We asked them to install new parts in our old system for a cost effective solution, but it turned out their original advice to replace the system was what we needed to do. Replacing an HVAC is always expensive, but the guys at JDL are like a family. They showed up quickly, stayed late, and sincerely cared about our circumstances. And in the end we have a great new system installed by a great team. Thanks JDL team!
