Was working with 3 companies then finally chose Homefix based on my perception that they had a quality product and would install my windows professionally, something I was willing to pay for. They worked with me and were competitively priced and in the end did not disappoint. The windows were low U-factor windows and nicely manufactured. They function vey well too! The garden window they installed is just gorgeous. Again, high quality custom window and very efficient, the mechanism built well. On installation day they were neat and very professional, you could tell that they were real artisans! No issues at all I would definitely recommend.

Things went very very smoothly with them. They were in and out in one day. They had to replace all the wood under the shingles. There was one minor communication error, they began to re shingle to carport but stopped right away when I explained it was house only. The guys were good, and they did good work. I had them use the high end materials so I got the best guarantee. This was a good crew.

Homefix came knocking at our door wanting to give us roofing estimate, we agreed, then they started calling our house number and cell number repeatedly which we didn't pick up as only person home was nanny. Then they showed up anyways at the given time when I was busy with other things and once I told them it was not a good time the guy mumbled something in disgust and left.

Outstanding workmanship, professional installation crew, reasonable price. Homefix recently re-sided our home, including new soffits, trim and gutters, and now it looks like a new house. The crew did very high quality work, even under difficult circumstances (rain, high temperatures, plus an unfortunate encounter with a yellow-jackets' nest) and worked long hours to get the job done. The crew chief answered all my questions and made several minor on-site modifications, at no cost, at my request. Due to the insulation under the siding, the house "feels" tighter. I strongly recommend Homefix to anyone considering a siding job on their home.

Dealing with Homefix was a breeze compared with other contractors we have used in the past. We initially started out process of looking for someone to help us with our $400 a month energy crises. We sat through many estimates from different home remodeling companies. And homefix truelly stood out. They had the best products, at the best price to solve our energy problem. My wife and I were skeptical when they told us that new windows and insulation would save us that much, but the rep was professional and new his stuff, so we went with them. And I gotta say it was the best decision we could have made. Our bill last month was about was substantially less!! VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!! We will be using Homefix again for future projects.

The sales rep,Graham North gave a very professional presentation on what Home Fix had to offer and how their system worked. We had decided to not make any decisions that night, but his presentation and product sold us both on their top end roofing system. The day of the install, they arrived right around 7:00a when they said they would and immediately began work. They were professional, courteous and efficient. They first moved flower pots, patio furniture and the grill away from the house and covered our patio to protect it from falling debris. Everything was thrown directly into an sided, open truck bed and very little was tossed to the lawn. The cleanup was amazing. They were done in 5 hours and you wouldn't have known that they had been there except for the beautiful roof! No leaks or problems to report, so far! We would definitely use them again.

Purchased from HomeFix a front entry system and a sliding patio door. HomeFix provided us excellent information and options on various dooe systems and were very good at understanding our what we wanted to accomplish. The installation of both entry systems was done on time and on schedule. The workmanship was superb and the installation crew was very professional and friendly. Since our purchase we had the opportunity to exercise the warranty and had no problems. HomeFix and Provia Doors stand by their product and service. As the original owners of our 40-year old home, my husband and I were in the market to make some serious improvements, leaving our home more maintenance free and having a much nicer, updated appearance. A new roof and new vinyl siding were in order. Through neighborhood canvassing, we were introduced to HOMEFIX, a fairly local corporation, which provided services for both of our needs. After doing some research on this corporation, we invited their representative into our home to "give us the pitch." This was the beginning of a wonderful contracting experience. Jimmie Bennett, General Manager, showed up at our home with a vast knowledge of those services the Company provided. During this process, my husband and I agreed that we not only wanted the roofing and siding, we also wanted to add shutters and a new front door. We were thrilled that this could all be done by the same Company. The negotiations were painless. There were no high pitched sales tactics, nor were there any intimidations. Jimmie was very professional, but he quickly put us a ease with the entire process. He was very easy to deal with. He knew what we wanted and he made it happen - all the while, staying within our budget. Of course, we contracted for the work to be done - in three separate stages. The roof was the first job to be done. Franklin (Roofing Foreman) and his crew showed up early, as scheduled, and did a fabulous job. A few days later, Kenny (Siding Foreman) and his crew arrived to install the siding and shutters. We were delighted with the siding and all of the "extras" that simply enhanced the final outcome. A day later, Gary and partner installed the new custom front door. The door was the final touch. Magical!!! My home looks beautiful! All of these services came with top notch products, workmanship and warranties. Jimmie and the three crews of workers were wonderful. We felt as if the workers' main objectives were to make us happy by giving us the best service possible. Not only did they do that, but they went out of their way to make sure that the premises were cleaned and restored after each phase of the project. Throughout the entire process, Jimmie was our Point of Contact. He made himself available at all times. We have dealt with some pretty difficult contractors over the years. HOMEFIX was a pleasant experience We encountered no problems at all. We would definitely recommend them without hesitation.

From the beginning, we were hesitant that we were possibly getting 'smoke' blown at us with what was being said to us about replacing our windows. We didn't want to be taken advantaged of. After chatting with Ken, the salesman, we felt comfortable asking him questions as well as we felt we were getting honest answers back. My wife and I decided to give HomeFix a try and we agreed to the price and signed the contract. From the time we signed our contract, they came in to measure for our new windows. They had to come back to re-evaluate and measure further for the window in our kitchen that we wanted to replace to a larger one. When we signed the contract, in March of 2013, we were told and it was noted on the contract that the work would start around the end of April. That time came and went. Around the end of May, I contacted Ken to see about the progress of what was happening and to try and find out when the work was going to start. Ken did follow-up and the delay I was told was due to the custom window being built for our kitchen. About a week later, we got a call from HomeFix installers wanting to set up a date to have our new windows installed. On June 24th, the installers arrived, on time, and were ready to get to work. The installers, who were lead by a gentleman named Gary, were complete professionals. They were clean as they were doing the work and made sure they had tarps down when they were working inside the house. When they installed the larger window in our kitchen, Gary even trimmed it out on the inside so it would look even nicer and I wouldn't have to worry about having it done after they left. The day they were here was rather warm outside. These guys, from what I could see, didn't even stop for lunch. I was very impressed on their work attitude and had never felt more comfortable having contractors inside my house. They completed the whole job around 3:30. These guys rocked!! Our salesman Ken stopped by later that afternoon after the installers had left. He apologized for not getting there while the installers were there, but honestly I don't think he was needed. He wanted to make sure everything went well and he said he'd be back in a couple days to make sure all was still well and to collect the final amount due. When my wife came home that evening, as she was walking up our front porch, our front door was open and she could see our new kitchen window .... she was VERY happy. She loved all the new windows too. Three days after the install Jon, (the vice President of HomeFix), stopped by to look at the work that was done to our house. Jon was very nice to talk to. I expressed basicly everything that I have written today and noted to him that we were impressed with the windows so far and were glad that we went forward with this project. I had a small adjustment that needed to be done on one of the windows. Jon had called their office and made sure that someone would be out here to make sure anything I needed would be taken care of. He truely made me feel I was extremely important to him and he greatly appreciated us giving him the work we wanted to do to our home. Yesterday we had a service technician come here and he made sure all the windows were working fine. He had to adjust one locking mechanism on one of the windows but all in all, everything is great!! The whole experience with HomeFix has been AWESOME!! From start to finish has been very easy. No headaches or worries on anything. My family loves our windows. Our initial meeting was with Jon Wood who is the Director of Marketing for Homefix. He presented a range of options and we haggled quite a bit, but ultimately got to what I believed to be a fair price since I had priced other roofing companies. On the day of installation a crew showed up that was very professional and quickly got most of the work done. However, I noticed a discrepancy in the skylight which I looked up and was a Velux brand skylight. The energy efficiency promised to block 95% of UV, but when Jon originally pitched to us he had indicated it would block nearly 99%. I called him and he told the crew to stop the installation until he could look into it. Jon worked with his chain and ultimately came back to us and was honest about having been in error when he pitched the energy efficiency. He apologized and gave us a few options, ultimately knocking another $500 off our agreed price was what we chose. Jon's management got involved also and approved the discount due to the error. He rescheduled the crew and we were back on track. Second visit the insulation went in and the last skylight was replaced. Both times the crew was hard working and very professional. They even tarped our neighbors deck when they noticed debris falling there. All went pretty well and Jon came out to do the final walk thru today. He noticed some areas that still needed touch up due to fingerprints and scrapes around the skylight. I thought I would have to take care of that, but he indicated they would not ask us to go up 20' and fix what they should have done. Tonight he put in to schedule a painter to fix that. Ordinarily, my wife and I might be frustrated by three trips, but the crews were great and so was Jon's service/responsiveness. I would use Homefix again thanks to Jon and the crews that came out. They are the best advertising the company could have. By the way, this is my second Angie's list review, so the fact that I took the time with this shows how much I thought of Homefix.

Introduction I wanted to provide a review for HomeFix because I did deal with them; there were good and bad points about the transaction that I feel would benefit Angie's List subscribers in vetting these companies. My evaluation is below: Provided Service HomeFix was canvassing our neighborhood in the attempts to install new windows on homes. At first, the representative came by to "warn us" that there would be "strange people" in the area, but that was just HomeFix doing work on homes in the area. I told them I was not interested in windows, but I would be interested in a roof replacement. At which point, I scheduled the free estimate. Another representative, John, was prompt in meeting the prescribed appointment and we discussed the prospects of HomeFix providing a new roof. Evaluation From the above information, you can surmise that we ultimately did not go with HomeFix. However, I wanted to applaud John as a customer representative because he allowed me to do the research that I needed to do to be comfortable. We chose to go with Central Roofing, for a number of reasons. Those reasons are as followed: Initial Estimate: HomeFix provided an initial estimate of $12,000 for our townhome roof. Obviously, this is a part of the sales tactic. They lowered the price to $8,000 if we allowed them to make our home a "model home." The reason was they did not have a "presence" in the area, even though the first representative "warned" me that they would be doing homes in our area. After several hours of talking -- some professional, some casual -- the marketing representative made one of many calls to the marketing VP. The marketing VP lowered the price even further to just around $6,500, but I had to act TODAY. It is the typical hard-sell tactic. Fortunately, and I cannot say this enough, I am thankful that the representative was not hard selling me too much, by allowing me to do my research. $6,500 is not a small sum of money do drop without due diligence. I wanted to see what else was out there. The Comparison: As I said, I wanted to compare pricing, but more importantly, compare services. HomeFix wanted to tout its high material quality, as well as, their installation merits. This is fine. I am willing to pay more for better service if the material quality is similar. This is what I found: Certification: Central has "Certainteed Certified Master" roofers; HomeFix has GAF "Certified Master" roofers. Each of these represents different OEMs for roofing material. Each has their own rigorous screening process and certification. Underlayment: Central uses 30lb, industry standard felt; HomeFix uses Shingle-Mate. Casual research will show that 30lb felt has been used in the industry, reliable for decades. Shingle-Mate in some ways outperforms felt, but it is not without its drawbacks, including shrinkage as a result of weather. Wood Replacement: $55/half-sheet for Central; $50/half-sheet for HomeFix Material: I chose GAF Slateline shingle, which is a life-time warranty shingle; HomeFix was offering for their price, the Royal Sovereign shingle, which is GAF's basic, 25 yr shingle. Workmanship Warranty: Central was only 10 years, but for a nominal fee could extend the warranty to 25 years; HomeFix is 25 years off the bat. Finance Options: Central provided a hassle-free, 90-day, interest free, payment plan; HomeFix had deferred payment options, but nothing that did not also require a credit check. Optional Equipment: Both were providing ridge-venting systems, weather guarding Reviews: Central has a BBB rating of A+, with 2 complaints in the last 12 months; HomeFix has 13 complaints in the last 12 months, mostly with warranty issues. Angie's List (at the time of the review) showed Central as having (for roofing): 244 reviews on roofing (82% A, 7% B, 4% C, 5% D, 4% F); for HomeFix, there are several AL listings, but for roofing: 32 reviews, but only 26 are for roofing - 62% A, 8% B, 8% C, 12% D, 12% F. In the end, there were even more differentiators. HomeFix wanted to make our home a model home, i.e. a guinea pig home in our area. Central had done a roof, literally, down the street from us. I was able to walk to that home and check out the work of that home. Central, being a local business, has performed many jobs in the area and was able to point out different styles of roof for me to do all of my shopping. In the end, Central was more knowledgeable than HomeFix. The representative that I had to deal with could not provide me with the answers because he wasn't a salesman. He didn't have brochures. He didn't have knowledge of the process. He couldn't even negotiate pricing without consultation. Unfortunately, that middle-man interaction is what sealed the deal. Over at Central, I dealt with one point of contact and got answers immediately. And when it comes to roofing, if there is a problem in the future, I don't want to have to hunt down my roofer to get my problem solved. I hope this information helps would-be buyers to easily vet HomeFix. Let me say that I do not think HomeFix doesn't provide a quality product. In fact, I'm sure they do. However, there's more to this than just price or material quality. It's down to service and protection of those services.

We are very happy with windows installed. Now, I feel difference in noise reduction, and it is a lot better. Again, we are very happy with the windows. The installation of the insulation was great and helping me control the internal temperature under control. I will recommend the windows and the company to my family, friends and co-workers. The Homefix representative came and spoke with us about the possibility of getting a new roof for our house. He gave us a free estimate, and recommended solutions for our problems in the roof. Each time we had a heavy rain, we had leakage in varioius parts of the home. I think that the representative was either the president or vice-president of the company. That made us feel very secure that he knew what he was talking about. He proceeded to 'walk' us through getting a new roof, told us and showed us through pictures about the advantages of getting a new roof with Homefix. When the workers came that day in April, we knew exactly what they were about to do. They arrived ontime in the early morning, but were quiet as mice. The workers got up on the roof, and start stripping it of all the roof material. My husband communicated with them easily as they were bilingual. The workers worked from 7am - 3pm. Then, they were completeing finished. Even the installation of the fan in the attic was complete. The fan has worked remarkably well, and we are cooler on the 3rd level of the house. Prior to this, we were constantly sweltering. Through out our experience with Homefix, we have been nothing but pleased with their dedication, care to detail, and follow-through. HomeFix replaced all of the windows (13 total) and the sliding glass door in my home. I am extremely pleased with the quality of the product. The windows not only look beautiful in appearance but they open with such ease. The sliding glass door works beautifully too -- glides so easily. The installation team (4 people) covered all carpets and floors before beginning work. They were extremely hard-working. They worked non-stop from 10:00 am until 8:30 pm, stopping only for lunch. The quality of their workmanship is second to none. The detailing and precision of the installation was excellent. I'm extremely pleased with the finished product. I was impressed that they cleaned up everything before leaving, all the way down to removing any debris out in the front garden and yard! I highly recommend HomeFix due to the quality of their product but also for the professionalism of their entire staff (salesman, installation team and office staff). All were wonderful to work with.

They came as agreed on Monday June 17th. Removed all of the old roof and replaced plywood as needed. This was a complete removal. The roof was replaced in a timely manner, all in one day. All of the old material was removed and the yard left very clean. Dave Lancaster of Homefix 10301 Democracy Ln., Fairfax, VA 22030 made all of the arrangements which were carried out very well by the installers. The installers did a very neat job and did not cause any problems to the rest of the house or yard. Very professional work. It looks great on the house.

The owner was belligerent in our interactions. They called several times after our cancellation, and each time we warned them they were breaking the law by disregarding the "do not call" list.

Company was very professional, instillation occurred in a timely fashion. We were provided with an informative booklet, showing our options and pricing. Alex , our representative, was very helpful, also provided information about tax breaks. I am very satisfied with our new door, it seems to add beauty, and value to our home. We are sure to be the envy of our neighbors.. I would recommend them to anyone is is planning to do home improvement.

Fantastic job! They helped us all along the way. We just brought them a picture and they were able to give us several door options to choose. The install was completed in a day, and revealed some major water damage to the old frame of an extra wide sliding glass door, but they were able to remove and replace with the new door and sidelights. Given the time it took to remove the old 20 year door, they installed the windows the following day. They crew showed up on time and did a great professional job. It turned out perfect. We were getting water around both the old door and the windows ever since we moved in 2 years ago. We are having a major storm now, which prompted me to write. Windows and door looks great and No water!!

I originally used homefix to replace all my windows and feel I was offered a very fair price and received a life time warranty on their product. I was so happy with the windows that I purchased a new front door from them, which also carries a life time warranty. Homefix has great products that come with a lifetime warranty, only makes sense to buy it once and have the piece of mind to not have to worry about having to pay to replace these items again. I would definitely recommend homefix to anyone, even family and friends, all of which my immediate family has already used homefix products on their homes.

It was an extremely cold day and they replaced one window at a time to ensure that the inside temperature of the house stayed as warm as possible. There were 4 men on the crew. They worked incredibly fast and were extremely professional and knowledgeable. We had custom made plantation shutters on all of the inside kitchen windows which they carefully took down, reassembled and replaced at no additional cost and with no issues despite the extra time and effort this took. They set up and cleaned up and left us absolutely no mess. The entire job was done in less than 8 hours and we were given the top of line windows which the price could not be beaten by any of the competition. We did get a total of 7 estimates for the job. Homefix did come in the lowest and provided exceptional service. We would highly recommend Homefix Corporation of Fairfax to anyone looking for any home improvement efforts.

Homefix Corporation did a good job of Replacing all the gutters and down spouts in the house and the price was good as compared to other contractors and they were very professional. The entire job was completed on the same day.

The Homefix team did an incredible job of insulating our two attics. They were more than helpful with clearing the attic and the job was done professionally and with thouroughness. We asked for some additional work done to the back of the house. We had termite damage and water damage in the trim around the windows and doors. Again the team was a pleasure to work with. They came when they were supposed to and in both jobs they did the work, cleaned up after the job and were very easy to have on the job. I would reccomend them to any one.
