They were professional, finished the job on time and covered all expectations. This company is responsible and provides quality services. We changed a roof on one property and windows on three other properties we own. All operate exceptionally well and we are extremely happy with services and products offered. Prices for the quality were unbeatable and salesman was willing to negotiate with us to make sure we receive the best.

Things turned out good. They were on time and completed the job quickly. The installation went very smoothly.

We were very impressed with the quality of materials HFC offered and could not pass up the opportunity to have all of this work done on our Springfield ,VA house at one time. All of the materials offered were top of the line. The crew of workmen were all very professional and hard-working. The clean-up after each stage was impeccable. A representative followed up after each stage to make sure we were completely satisfied with each day's work. We were amazed this company did not expect to get paid for any of the work until we were completely satisfied with all their installing. HCR made a final call to make sure we were completely satisfied and to remind us that if for any reason we had a problem, to call them. Customer service was A+, above what was expected. We would highly recommend this company for any remodeling and would certainly use them again. The installers were very professional and competent. The windows were all installed in one day. The windowsill was not as deep as the original windows which meant that my custom blinds in three of my rooms couldn't be used as they stuck out beyond the windowsill. The blinds were all Hunter Douglas and expensive. Homefix paid for the replacement of all the affected blinds even though it meant that they lost money on the deal. I was very impressed that they stood behind their guaranty that if you are not satisfied they would work with you to make it right.

It was the best home repair experience I have EVER had. I have had many repairs renovations, etc. that have ranged from A+ to D- and this was by far an A++ Ryan Sullivan was the sales person and he was extremely knowledgeable, technical, curteous, prompt and got me the exact services I needed and did not try to sell me things did I did not need. He just did a great job all around. He answered all of my esoteric technical questions without a blink (and there were a lot as I have been in the market for about a year and a half for the door specifically). Out of the 4 different sales people I met throughout my experience, he kind of left no room for doubt that HCR was the company to go with. Most important of all, after the installation was over and the bills was paid my wife and I had a tough time reinstalling the blinds a few days later after the sealant had dried and I called Ryan to see if he could give some advice and Ryan instead took time off from his day off to stop by and install them without a blink even though he lives in Baltimore. This was simply above and beyond. The installation was absolutely seemless and both the installer and Ryan were right on time for all of there scheduled appointments. The installation took about half as much time as I expected and this was critical because I had a very tight schedule. The installer left the place clean as when he came and the door and window looked superb. We got a great price, a stellar installation, the product had everything we need and nothing we did not. I do not do business with companies with door to door cold calling as a part of their marketing strategy. I do not appreciate my wife being badgered by this company to schedule an appointment we neither wanted nor needed. High pressure tactics like this are representative of a poor company and I will never do business with this company. I am looking forward to telling this j******* when he shows up for his appointment.

HCR was a pleasure to deal with. Communication was excellent from the sales person to the installers. Started out with energy audit report at no cost to us to see how energy efficient our home was and where to concentrate our efforts. The installers were very professional and courteous! Worked as a cohesive unit and completed each project in a timely manner. Each employee were very skilled an and proficient in the job they were doing. It was evident by the quality job they produced. All jobs went very well with a special emphasis on the detail which makes the difference between mediocrity and excellence. We are extremely happy with the service and quality of the products and workmanship of all three of our projects. We would without a doubt like to recommend Homefix Custom Remodeling to anyone looking for renovations to their home. Best part of the deal 5 year 0% financing and 2,000 back rebate from BGE! certainly makes it affordable! Can't beat that! Our house looks wonderful and can't wait to start saving on our energy cost.

All services were excellent. The installers were professional, courteous, and clean. We were very happy with the finished products. We were able to reach Ryan before and after hours and he was very responsive to our questions.

From sales to final clean up everyone was prompt and professional. The sales manager, Ryan Sullivan, was very patient and understanding with all the questions with which we bombarded him about all the product possibilities. He was extremely knowledgeable about his products and made the decision easy to move forward with such a hefty purchase. We love the energy and cost savings that we are experiencing with the new Slocomb windows and sliding door we had installed. Each is easy to open and close and a breeze to clean. AND, the screen door on the slider has a lock on it! The shingles of the roof are beautiful with multiple hues of gray and red which match our home amazingly. Mr. Sullivan truly outdid himself with assisting us with matching the roof with the colors of the house - which I am very particular about. The insulation is wonderfully thick in the attic and no longer do we feel drafts from such. Each and every crew that came to our home was respectful of it and ensured that they left it and the property as clean as it was when they arrived. Additionally, we were able to participate in a program Homefix offers called "Fair Price Assurance" which allowed us to agree on a price and begin the project quickly as the roof was in dire need of replacement due to leaks. With this program, we were able to shop other prices from competitors even after Homefix had ordered the materials and were still assured that if we were offered a lower bid by a competitor that Homefix would match the price and reimburse us 10% of the difference. This afforded us peace of mind in getting the project started immediately and in getting the best price possible... especially when not one competitor could come close to the price and quality of products that we obtained from Homefix. It was a win-win! Thank you Homefix for a job well done!

These guys are the best. I live in Western Howard County and they did my windows 7 years ago. They have really held up and when we did have an issue a few years ago with condensation in one of the windows we called them and it was real easy and they were very prompt in addressing the issue. They replaced the problem window and we've been good since. So it was an easy decision when it was time to do the roof. Just to keep them honest I did get two other estimates and they were in the middle but I knew what I was getting with them and they did not disappoint. The salesperson was extremely knowledgeable and professional. I didn't know there was so many things involved in installing a new roof! When they came out to install, the installers were like machines. I couldn't believe that they finished my roof (it's over 4000 sq. foot house) in 1 day. I watched my neighbors get their roof done over the summer and it took them over a week and their house is smaller. These guys were coordinated and were very efficient. They all had on uniforms and were courteous. The foreman on the job was very professional and really seemed to be the maestro of the project. I have recommended Homefix to several family and friends in the past and they've always delivered. I cant sing their praises high enough.

I have been remodeling houses since 1974, and I've seen it all. I've learned the hard way that going with the "cheapest" generally costs you a lot more in aggravation and shoddy work -- and no shows. Homefix has been a pleasure to work with. And their work crews are specialized and highly, highly competent. Roofing -- they said they have the best crew on the East Coast, and I believe it. The work done was simply superb and the clean up excellent. I've had roofs done before and spent months in cleaning up endless mess. This crew worked like finely tuned machinery -- were courteous and professional. And they listen to you if you have an interest or special concern, as I did. Windows -- again a great crew who like the roofers showed up right on time and got the work done in two short days. I can't believe how hard they worked and how beautiful the results. Everything was installed perfectly. I went the cheap route first and no surprise had to replace the shoddy work. I say go with the best. Also, I've had estimates from the other "big" window sellers and I want to tell the women out there that this company treats you with respect. The other companies want you to produce a husband or some authoritative male or they won't make an appointment. Never had the problem with HomeFix. Insulation: Great team who were really good problem solvers and worked together efficiently to get the job done and clean up accomplished. I was amazed. Also, I really wanted to have some small, hard-to-reach areas of my roof line insulated, and they worked with me and did a great job on it. I was very impressed with the team leader who really knew his stuff, but also listened to me, the customer, and was ready to absorb my perspectie and come up with great solutions. The siding is being finished now with another specialized HomeFix team. Just beautiful work. I got a great price and the materials are perfect. We have come up a few problems and there was smooth transition between the workers, the office and me so we could keep the job going. Like most, I have to take time off of work and my time like everyone's precious. I have have still to have the gutters installed and will review that work once it has been completed. My recommendation: Go with this company. The management is super earnest about good customer service --and scheduling problems can happen, you know. But the work product cannot be beat.

Well I purchased 13 windows and I must say this company of homefix remodeling was wonderful right down to the insall. They did everything they said step by step. Simply terrific hardworking crew. They started at 9am as promised and finished at 3pm. Amazing! The 5 man crew never stopped working. The foreman spoke English very well and was extremely polite. I was so impressed with their work ethic! The scheduler was very accommodating. I had to wait a little longer to get the work done on a Saturday, as I wished, but it was well worth the wait. Their pricing was competitive, and in fact, they included some upgrades that another contractor I got a bid from wanted extra money for. My neighbors used Home Fix first and they were so pleased with them, as am I. I certainly would recommend them highly and am, in fact, going to use them again, to install a new kitchen sliding door and screen. They have earned my trust with the quality of the work, the quality of the materials used, and their responsiveness to my scheduling needs. Everything looks great! And they cleaned up the area, including my neighbors' lawns, when they were finished and left everything immaculate. I'm really happy I chose them to replace my roof.

Back in 2011, the Homefix salesperson who visited our house was very professional and pleasant to deal with. He helped us work out financing, and the price was very reasonable for the product including the lifetime warranty. We were very pleased with the new roof. More recently, we required warranty service to our roof. The company was extremely responsive, getting a roofer out the next day to repair the damage. Homefix was very easy to communicate with both by email and over the phone, and I would recommend them to friends!

The salesman who came to our home gave us misinformation, claiming that the energy audit was optional for an additional fee. We declined the audit and gave him a deposit of $880, which was 1/3 of the total service price for the insulation installation. We scheduled the date for the installation as 9/22/2014, but on that date, no one showed up to our house and no one called to explain why. I had to make multiple phone calls to Homefix's VA and MD offices to discover that the subcontractor who performs their energy audits saw that we hadn't scheduled the audit, and simply ignored our home on his list of appointments for the day. We asked for our money back and were flatly refused by their sales manager, who offered instead to handle our case personally and give us a $500 discount. Because the insulation couldn't be installed without the audit, we scheduled the energy audit for 10/11/2014, and the technician showed up early, which was nice. However, he informed us at the end of the audit that he wasn't licensed to perform the service in VA. He told us the audit report would be emailed to us with Pepco's information on it. On 10/20/2014, I contacted Homefix's VA office to ask about the whereabouts of the audit report, which we still hadn't received. I was told by the secretary that someone would call me back, but no one did. This happened again on 10/21, when I was told the audit report had been received, and would be forwarded to me, and someone would call me back to schedule my installation, which they did not. On 10/22/2014, I filed a complaint with the BBB in MD and VA. Less than an hour later, a service manager from Homefix called to tell me she had my audit report and wanted to schedule the installation immediately. I agreed to have the installation done on 11/1. However, in the BBB interaction that followed this call, an executive at Homefix offered the refund that we originally requested, so we took that option instead of continuing with this frustrating service.

I met with multiple Window/Home Improvement companies. I decided to go with Homefix based off of the comfort level I had with their representative that came out to meet with me. He took the time to explain to me the difference between the windows I had in my house at the time, and gave me multiple options on new Windows. I was really shocked about how bad the windows in my house were. I knew that they were old, what I didn't realize was how much money they were costing me. Our representative Nick, explained in full detail what made the windows in our home ineffective, he was patient with answering all our questions and gave a fantastic demonstration. I honestly feel like I could sit down with someone and give a presentation on Builders Grade Windows vs Custom Windows. The other companies that came out more or less just gave me a quote, tried to get me to buy and then left. Nick showed taught us about we were buying which gave us the chance to make and educated purchase. Installation went extremely smoothly. I was curious if they would be able to finish the entire job in one day. The crew showed up around 8am and got to work. They were all very friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. I got so caught up in how energy effecient these windows would make my home that I hadn't considered the new look they would give us. These windows are custom built to our house and look amazing. The new capping around the windows is beautiful. I no longer have those drafts of air coming through and have already noticed saving on my energy bill. Over all I give Homefix an ethusiatic two thumbs uup and recommend them to anyone looking for Windows, Siding, Roofing or insulation.

I initially gave Homefix an F that i believed was so disappointment regarding missing Capping installation. I got a call from Jonathan and Max on the third day. I had a conversation with max why I believed they deserved F then he told me wanted make it right then I promised to him I reconsider my rating. His technician came (I didn't know what time b/c they did call) and completed half and came next day finished the remaining part. I couldn't believe how my window and the Bay looks great. I am very impressed what they did and my neighbors told me how beautiful and quality work they did. Now I am very happy and willing to change my F rating to A.

Very unprofessional. The first time we scheduled an appointment, they did not show up and did not even call. I had to call back. The second time, Graham showed up. Besides him overselling the company and how he is so busy and important ("45 people work under me"), he provided the estimate. He gave one estimate that is good for 1 year, and one estimate (30% off) if you buy from him today. We listened to his estimate and when we told him we want to think about it, he got super defensive and accused me of "rejecting his company" when all I wanted is to get another few estimates (normal thing to do if this our FIRST estimate). He then started to argue with me about how I essentially "rejected his offer and WASTED HIS TIME", which was very unprofessional and has never happened to me before. He took away away his card and left. Rude.

Salesman did not seem to know which demonstration window was insulated and which one was not. We had expressed wanting blinds between the glass. He said he wasn't familiar with it and made a call to someone who said yes, it was an option. He was cordial until my husband and I said we were not ready to make a decision at this time as this was the first contact we had made and we were looking for estimates only at this time. Salesman then had a change in personality, had very little to say to either of us and couldn't wait to pack up his things to go. It was a good deal so I spoke with my husband and we decided to sign the contract. The salesman took measurements and was on his way stressing "we will contact you". Contract had approximately 6 - 8 weeks for installation. I had called back, about a week or so later requesting to see what these doors would look like as he had no pictures. He said he would take a picture of his doors, which were the same thing and he would text it to me. I verified the cell number for him to text it to. This made me suspicious because he said he wasn't familiar with this style of door when he was at our home. I never received the text... Time passed greater than 8 weeks. I was on vacation and called the company inquiring about the doors as no communication had been received. I spoke with a gentleman and explained I did not wish to speak with the salesman any longer. The gentleman said he would follow up and call me back. He called back and apologized that the wrong doors were shipped and it would be another 3 weeks before the correct doors would come in. I explained this was not a very good experience especially due to the lack of communication. He was very nice and swore the company does good work. I told him I am not feeling very confident in this and would prefer to get my money back. He said I should have a check by the end of the week. When I returned home from vacation the check was waiting at my home. This was probably the only positive experience with this company.

I thought they were very professional. We ended up getting our roof done with them. We just got a better price for the windows.

HCR did not show up for siding estimate nor did it call!

Our basement door needed replacing. I went first to Angies List. I called three A-rated contractors from Angies List. All three sent well-qualified representatives to explain their products and service and to prepare an estimate. Choosing any of the three would have been a good choice. Joe, from Homefix Custom Remodeling, stood out, though. He didn't need to give me the same sales pitch I had heard twice already. He listened to my special needs and offered solutions the others did not. Joe wrote out the estimate and it was a good deal. I accepted. Homefix sent out a specialist to take measurements and the door was ordered. When the door was ready, Homefix called to schedule installation. The day before the installation, Homefix called to remind us. The installer, Peter, arrived on time and worked nonstop until finished. Peter was professional, affable and diligent. He removed all materials and cleaned up well when finished. We have a new door, a great warranty, and a new contractor for our favorites list. Throughout this experience it was clear that the A-rated contractors on Angies List were specially motivated to make the customer happy. Homefix Custom Remodeling made it clear throughout that they wanted me to have a good experience. Homefix proved to be the best of the A-rated contractors and I highly recommend them.

I replaced all the windows of my house with Home Fix three years ago, they made a great job and gave me a one year loan with no interest to pay for the work. Early this year, I contacted them to get an appraisal for a roofing installation, again they explained me all the process, materials available, talked to me about their certified workers and gave me a one year payment plan with no interests again. In the middle of the process, I was laid off from my job and they were exceptional! They understood the situation and allowed me to cancel the contract even it says you only can do it after three days, they heard my situation and understood that conditions were changed in my side and found the way to release me from the commitment without impacting my credit. I strongly recommend Home Fix, and I am sure I will continue working with them in the future as soon as my conditions change again. These are the things that separate great companies from the other companies.
