Our purchase and installation of windows was a very pleasant experience. The sales rep, Jonathan Wood, was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, easy to work and left no question unanswered. The process was clearly explained and the installation crew arrived when scheduled and the job was completed without any follow-up work required. I would highly recommend this company for window replacements.

Miguel arrived at our house and was informative, efficient but not over-pushy. After a thorough review of the product, and our confidence in Miguel, the choice to go with HomeFix was an easy one. Throughout the entire project our interaction with each member of the HomeFix team from sales to customer service, from the measuring team to the installation team, every interaction was courteous, professional and productive. The windows arrived and were installed exactly as promised. The installation team were fast but thorough, completely focused on our needs right through from the clean and tidy installation through to the detailed walkthrough at the end, helping us ensure how to get the most from our new windows and doors. We were very happy with the whole experience and are delighted with the fabulous new windows and doors. Great job got all the team at HomeFix!

This is our 2nd time using Home Fix for our home. Two years ago Home Fix replaced our rear door with a new sliding door. We had such a great experience that when we needed to replace the windows and reinsulate our home we called Keith at Home Fix. He sent a gentleman Vinnie to talk to us about insulation and windows. We went with both jobs and Home Fix was very patient with us on working with our HOA about the grids vs no grids. The insulation was the first job to be done. The crew was late and did not communicate with me properly. They did apologize and get right to work. They were very efficient and got done quickly. They even showed my husband the work they did because it was in our crawl space and attic. The windows were installed on May 7, 2015. The crew showed up on time and started working immediately. They had 4 windows inplace before I realized they had started working. We had 14 windows replace in one day. There was an issue with my lower level windows and I called because they were not the windows I ordered. Ryan called me and we discussed the situation in detail and did come to a resolution. The most important is that at the end of the job the crew cleaned up everything. My home looked the way it did before they arrived. The crew was so nice, polite and very caring of our home. They even cleaned the new windows when they were finished. I would definately recommend Home Fix to all of our neighbors and friends.

We were given a few days to finalize our selection, and adjusted out choice so HCR could order the materials for the job. We had been given a 4 to 5 week estimate for delivery. The materials were available in only 3 weeks, so we were able to have the job done well in advance, which for us worked out well. Unfortunately, the initial materials delivery included packages of some wrong colors, however Mr. Kim, the site manager arranged to have the correct materials delivered later on the first day, with no impact on progress or the completion schedule. Mr. Nick Cha, the Project Manager for our job was very professional and engaged, checking on the progress and quality of work daily. The work team was very professional, courteous, and hard working, exhibiting great attention to detail. Mr. Kim and his team worked seamlessly together to ensure nothing was overlooked. In fact, the team went above and beyond to make our house look better than it has in the 27 year we've lived here! The job was done in 2 1/2 days, and we are very happy with the work.

The sales manager, Miguel, was very helpful in showing us our options within the price range we were comfortable with. Since our house is old, the doors had to be custom-made. We expected a six-week wait but they were actually ready in a month. The doors themselves (ProVia) are gorgeous, and our installers were absolutely meticulous in their work. It's a pleasure to see professionals at work.

Homefix couldn't have impressed me more! Their salesman was courteous, prompt and worked with us on the price. We have a special style window that needed to be reproduced for the old Crofton homes and they not only gave us the best price but they also did a fabulous job on the installation. The installers showed up at 8:00am and worked all day, they protected all of my furniture before the job began and after it was finished, they cleaned up outside and inside. These new windows are incredibly energy efficient and look so much better than the originals, I went with one of their top of the line X3 models with Low-E/Argon. You cannot feel the heat coming through the glass at all which has made a world of difference in the upstairs already. I've also noticed a big difference in noise reduction (probably due to the generous amount of weather stripping they have). Homefix has a great reputation for offering one of the best warranties in the business which is another reason I chose them. The whole experience has been great and I 100% recommend them!

Overall it went extremely well. First, the on-site job coordinator, Nick Cha, was extremely helpful and professional in responding to and addressing all the questions and concerns we had as the job went along. His was the kind of performance that would definitely lead us to choose HCR again when we need work like this done. He was knowledgeable, explained things clearly, and was the epitome of a customer-focused professional I just can't emphasize enough what a key role he played in making this a great experience for us. Second, the crews -- siding and gutters - were extremely good. Their professionalism and craftsmanship shows in the work they did. It is clear that this company puts time and effort into finding and training excellent craftsmen. They were also polite, friendly, courteous, and very neat - all of which we sincerely appreciate. We kept the cost a bit lower by doing the facia board repair and prep ourselves (the boards behind the gutters), and would do it again that way. The siding crew took off the old gutters, we had about a week to repair the boards, and then the gutter crew came to finish up the job. The one thing we would do differently is insist on having a picture or diagram of what was included in the contract, as opposed to simply relying on the words that include terminology that most home-owners don't use every day. This company normally provides a picture or diagram, but when we signed our contract that system was not functioning well and so we skipped it. They more than made up for some mis-understandings in the execution of the contract, however, and Nick Cha played a key role in working out all those details. At the end of the day the work looks great and will last a long time - the mark of a job well done.

The crew came early. I encountered some issues but everything is taking cared off immediately. They are very nice & they did a fantastic job.

Homefix Custom Remodeling (HCR) was fabulous! They were professional and considerate from the start. The crew came on time. They took pride and cared about the roofing job they were tasked to perform. It translated to having a quality product that will last me for years to come. They also cleaned up after themselves at the end of the project to my exacting standards. The crew was the best I have ever had on any home project. Bravo HCR!

Specifically asked for Pella, as is approved by condo HOA. Salesman had no clue about Pella and had no literature, but did offer to view his web site. Asked him to leave as he was unprepared. Lead generated by web enquiry...won't do that again.

Working with the salesman was easy. He did a thorough job of explaining window features and was flexible as we worked with the HOA. Four guys showed up about 9 AM. The old windows (about 22) were removed and replaced with new ones in about two hours. Getting the sliding back door replaced took a bit longer. As someone worked inside to seal the windows, someone else was outside doing the same, as well as installing the frame around the outside. They were done by 5 PM, after picking up as best they could, considering there was still several inches of recent snow outside.

This company calls and harasses people and will not leave them alone. They also apparently change their name or go by different names. I would not do business with them, and certainly avoid giving them your phone number.

From the moment of 1st contact in early January 2015, by Torry on the canvasing team, he helped me carry a large purchase into the house, I have had an excellent experience with this company. We made an estimate appointment for the following week and met our Sales Manager, John. He educated us about the history, products and services that Homefix can and did provide. He made our selection process so very easy, then he and the owner of the company left no stone unturned to secure the financing that we requested. Our 16 windows and sliding glass door were made to order and the installation was done in early March. Henry, Jorge and Carlos showed up on one of the coldest days and were determined that everything be done to our satisfaction before they left. They were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. It took the entire day, but when they left around 7pm, everything was perfect! The very best part happened yesterday, when I received my new power bill- it went down $100! When we are ready to do more improvements on our home- Homefix will definitely be my first call!

Excellent product. Reduced my cooling bill during the summer significantly. Reduced my heating bill significantly this winter. Looks great. No complaints. Extremely pleased with the results.

The work was completed in one day as promised, the installers were very flexible with my schedule and they did not make a mess. There were no issues of any concern. It is a winter installation so some caulking has to be redone in the Spring when the weather is more amenable. I had a really positive experience with Homefix. They are all people of high integrity who tell the truth and stand by their word. I do not often do business without shopping around first but from the guy knocking on the door to the guys installing and the folks in management, they all speak highly of their company and employer and have done their best to deliver on their word. That means a great deal to me. Their product seems to be of high quality and I do not regret choosing them as my vendor. There are many more windows in my home that will be needing replacement and I will be using Homefix to perform the work.

Salesman Marc Castro was helpful and knowledgable. HCR had a very reasonable quote and also secured great financing for the job. HCR was able to come out before a snow storm to remove and install the roof in timely manner. Their work crew was professional and courteous. They did a great job with the removal and install and left no sign that a major work project had taken place. Very happy with the overall experience working with them. I would recommend them and also plan to have them work on a couple other projects.

DO NOT LET HOMEFIX IN YOUR HOUSE! Like the other reviewers with bad experiences, my neighborhood was canvassed and I scheduled a meeting with a window salesman. He was nice, professional, and knowledgeable. This was our first meeting with any window company so we told him we were going to be taking quotes from other companies. Here's their sales trick plain and simple... When the canvassers are out getting appointments they tell you the salesman will provide an estimate that is guaranteed for 1 year. But what they don't tell you is the estimate is gojng to be more than anyone in their right mind would ever pay for windows. So essentially you get a one year guarantee on an astronomical price. But, the salesman is already in your house and has your attention so he then makes you a "deal" that he's only authorized to make for one house in the neighborhood, and that house is yours! The salesman then writes you a new estimate which is about half of the astronomical, 1 yr. guaranteed one, but still more than anyone should pay. Here's the catch, this new estimate expires as soon as the salesman leaves your house unless you sign a contract. No pressure, go ahead and take 2 minutes to decide. Too bad for them I don't make split second decisions when spending thousands of dollars. We thanked he salesman and he left. This is where HomeFix begins to be a real problem. No matter how many times you tell them not to call you, they will continue to call you. About once per month, relentlessly. About 6 months went by and I must have been in a good mood because I accepted an offer for another sales appointment. They said they were going to provide a new estimate with updated pricing. I scheduled the meeting for 6:30pm on a Monday or Tuesday night. They called me 3 times to "confirm" the meeting, and asked if the appointment time still worked for me. What they were really doing was trying to change the appointment time because 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment they called to tell me the salesman was in a car accident and could not make it. I am a pretty understanding and accomodating person but there was no way I could believe this utter and complete LIE. If they were honest with me and said, hey we're really sorry but there's no salesman who can meet with you on that day I probably would have agreed to another day, but they chose to waste my time instead. So a few months later I called The Window Man in Alexandria, VA, met with an awesome salesman who provided a great price with no pressure or trickery. HomeFix continues to call eventhough I've told them I have purchased windows from someone else. I am at the end of my rope. I have given HomeFix every opportunity to end this relationship but they have left me no choice. I am p***** and I am letting everyone know they should not work with HomeFix. This review is only the beginning of my tirade. FCC, FTC, BBB, CoC, regional managers, president, all the way up to the CEO. HomeFix, go take a flying leap, and leave me alone!

The estimator came to look at my windows that needed replacing. They are due to be installed next month. While he was here, I asked him to look at my crawl space/attic insulation. He got a ladder, went up and took pictures to show me what he saw and the problems. He even had a u-tube video to show me the process. Since it takes longer to get custom windows made than to do attic insulation, we agreed that that would be the first thing to happen. I received a scheduling phone call. The men arrived promptly on the scheduled day. They put drop clothes everywhere to be sure nothing soiled the interior of my house. They checked out everything, outlets, access areas and so on. The job took a few hours. When they finished, they cleaned everything up and left the house as they found it - but much warmer. This is a terrific company. I was also very impressed with the window ordering process. I will write a review of that next month.

They did our windows and doors in April 2014. They did our roof in February 2015. We would highly recommend Homefix Custome Remolding. All of the work was done by professionals, who where extremely hard working and courteous. They removed all debris cleaned up everything after they completed the jobs. Our neighbors had their windows and doors replaced first and we waited to see how everything turned out. They did a great job, we had them come do ours. Our neighbors had one other window company gave them an estimate for all of their windows and 4 sliders they quoted them $40,000. ( We live in a townhome.) Homefix gave them an estimate at $14,000. This includes a lifetime warranty that is transferable. Our #1 priority was windows with UV protection and these windows had that and it was covered under the warranty. As far as being energy efficient, what a difference. We noticed immediately that our air conditioner ran much less. Our home is twenty years old and the windows and doors were builder grade. We now realize that replaceing windows and doors really does make a difference. We had the architectural shingles put on our roof. We love them! They really make your house just pop. So upgrading to architectural shingles not only protects your home you get to see where your money went, and again lifetime warranty. Extremely happy with everything they did. Anything you do to improve your home comes back to you when you sell it.

Our house has a large amount of windows (27) and we have been shopping for windows for a while, but all of the estimates we had gotten were way out of our price range. We didn't expect anything different when we were contacted by HomeFix, but boy were we wrong. From the beginning, Ryan Sullivan, our sales guy, was absolutely amazing. He wasn't just there to sell us windows, he wanted to make sure we understood all the components and how they worked so we could make the best decision for our home. He explained all the various levels of windows and their differences. He never pushed us to go with the highest level of window (even though that's what we eventually went with, the X5). He let us decide based on our needs. We initially were only going to have our four basement windows replaced, but when we saw the price for just those four, we decided to have the entire house priced out since ultimately we wanted to replace all of the windows anyway. The price ended up being half of what previous sellers had tried to give us and he threw in a free garage door/opener which we definitely needed. He kept in contact with us though the entire process to make sure things were going as planned. The install team was on time and very professional. They took great care to not ruin any walls or flooring during the installation. I was impressed with the way they vacuumed the floors and made sure everything was good to go when they left. They finished almost the entire house in one day and worked around our schedule to come back and finish up the last few windows. When we had a small issue with the lock on one window and the sensor in the garage, HomeFix was quick to put in a ticket and have someone come fix them right away with absolutely no charges. Ryan even followed up a couple months later to make sure we were still happy with our choice and to see if there was anything he could do. The windows are great and we have already noticed a difference in our bills and how even the temperature in our house feels now. We could not be happier! Thank you HomeFix!!!

I highly recommend HomeFix Custom Remodeling. This is the second time I have used their products and services and have been extremely pleased by the price, quality, and professionalism of all people I have had the pleasure to work with. This time I was in the market to replace my original metal siding from 1984 on my end unit townhome with vinyl insulated siding and replace the soffit that was totally falling apart. My electric bills were getting higher and higher and the interior temperatures were cold in the winter and hot in the summer, even with a new heating and air conditioning unit, plus energy efficient new windows that had been installed by HomeFix over 10 years ago. I got several estimates, all were higher and most pushy companies wanted me to sign TODAY in order to receive the "lower" price. Not so with HomeFix. My representative, Justin, came out with beautiful samples, and we talked about what I wanted and needed, even took the sample colors outside to see them in natural light to make a better decision, and came up with a price that was more reasonable than the rest and products that were of exceptional quality. I was able to think about it without pressure and decide if this was the right decision for me at this time and the pricing did not change because I wanted to take some time to review all options. Financing was also available to me. Once I made my decision, we set a date for installation and again HomeFix was able to work with my schedule. It would take two days. The supervisors arrived a bit earlier than the starting time and introduced themselves, the workers also arrived on time, and work began. The removal was done and all discarded materials were taken away and my yard and surrounding area cleaned up. The workers worked efficiently and were always kind and friendly to me. The next day the project was finished, and it was such an amazing difference! I also bought new outside light fixtures and house numbers to update the old ones that they installed for me and it truly looks like a brand new townhouse! I did end up putting the house numbers where they were previously, above the porch awning, and realized afterwards that these numbers should have been just above the door, where the porch light is, so that they can be seen. I contacted HomeFix and I was happy to be told that they would come out and fix this for me (even thought it was a mis-judgment on my part). I was contacted by very nice man, Gary, who had his team come out and make this change and I am just so pleased! My house numbers can be seen! I believe that the best feature yet is my electric bills. I had this work done in June and the comfort of the home was immediately noticeable. The rest of the summer my bills were remarkably lower than they have ever been. By September, I received the LOWEST electric bill I have ever had since living in that house for over 18 years! And now that it's winter and the temperatures are cold, I find that I'm not freezing upstairs and I can have my thermostat set at a lower temperature and still remain comfortable and my electric bill is half the cost that it was last year. I know this is a result of the installation of this wonderful insulated siding. Very professional people to work with, great products, a great company that stands behind them. I know where I will go when I need my new roof.

The scheduler assured me that windows from many manufacturers would be offered. This was false and I was misled. The salesman arrived on time. I learned that they market a single brand of windows, Slim-Line. The salesman tried to use high pressure , hard sell technique on me. This is an old historical Victorian house with 43 windows. He offered to do the work for $92,000 - but if I signed up on that day, the price would be only $69,000. And then the windows would require staining and painting to match the woodwork. I told him that buying the best wood architectural Andersen windows from Home Deport would cost $29,000 and that I could get them installed for a total price much less than his best offer. He tried many psychological tricks to try to close the sale, despite my telling him that I am completely sales-averse and cannot be 'sold' anything. I buy when I am ready. It was difficult to get him to leave. I finally stood up, thanked him and showed him the door. He appeared angry when he left. I would warn others to avoid this company because of their sales technique and limited offerings. . His windows were not the correct style for this house, in any case and I could find no ratings on Slim-Line windows. Also, there should be one final price that does not require an immediate commitment.

I did not have any work done by this company because in the end we decided to go with another insulation company. We told them that we looked at their ratings on Angie's List and found some negative comments, so we didn't want to deal with them. I told HomeFix this twice, in email and over the phone. We found another company who did a good job for us. All was good. Then 2-3 weeks ago, HomeFix started calling us continually in the evenings. First my husband said that we didn't need their services. But they continued to call. Finally today I told them again that we had another company do the work and don't need their services. Honestly, it felt like they were harassing us with their continued calls. We could not enjoy our evenings after work because of their constant calls. We have had extensive renovations done already by a bathroom remodeling company, Pella windows, another insulation company, a flooring company, a painting company, and an interior designer. We don't need any more work done on our house. HomeFix's refusal to take "No" for an answer has really left me with a bad feeling towards them. Thank you Angie's List for providing realistic reviews and pointing us in the direction of another company.

The installation of the windows and the upgrade to our attic insulation (two separate crews on different dates) both went very well. I was impressed by the professionalism and the hard work of each crew. The windows are high quality and the attic now has a radiant heat barrier plus additional blown insulation. My home is much more comfortable as a result of this work. The Homefix staff were very knowledgeable of their products and also responsive to my questions and concerns. I will work with them again when I am ready to replace windows in my home.
