The job was great. The quality of the door is great and was fitted perfectly. The team that installed it was courteous, and professional. They were skilled and efficient and let me know the progress of the job as it progressed.

Therefore, my husband and I both arranged our day so that we could be home for our estimate. 6:30 came and went. No one came, I checked my phone and email because I had provided John with both. There was nothing. Our time is valuable to us and to expect us to arrange our schedule for a meeting that they don't even bother to come to or to offer the simplest courtesy of notifying us of any last minute changes. So, I will never have any work done by them.

HCR was great. The representative who came to the house, David Kaszubinski, was professional, courteous, prompt and above all honest. Mr. Kaszubinski did a thorough inspection of our roof and gave us a wide array of options to choose from for the roof. He was able to easily explain the options in terms that made sense to us and was open about the pros and cons of each option. Mr. Kaszubinksi also helped us work with our insurance company who was being extremely difficult and only wanted to cover roofing materials that were up to standards 10 years ago. Mr. Kaszubinski took the time to email and call our insurance rep to walk him through the items covered in the estimate and to explain why they were required per current county codes. This helped us obtain the maximum benefit possible from the insurance company and saved us thousands of dollars. Once we approved the new roof, HCR was able to quickly fit us in within a week and had the whole project done in a day and a half. The new roof looks beautiful and with the lifetime warranty, we feel like the money was well spent. Overall I highly recommend HCR and Mr. Kaszubinski in particular. Very trustworthy!

I knew that it was about time for a new roof. However, when Homefix was at our door, I didn't expect I would be going with them (at least right away anyhow). However, I was impressed by their products and their warranty. The salesman was fantastic and spent a lot of time explaining various roofing products and issues. We ended up getting them to replace our roof and install new attic insulation. Their installers were punctual, completed the job quickly, and cleaned up after themselves. They even completed some detail work in repainting that I expected I would have to do. Communication with them was easy and they addressed any and all concerns promptly. Now we have a more efficient home with a roof that's guaranteed for 50 years!

Needed new custom built Marvin Windows and contacted HomeFix Custom Remodeling. Great customer service from Clay Sanders in helping me to select the right window. Contacted by David Ross for Installation which was according to time table given. Installers arrived on time the day of installation. One day installation. Installers polite, cleaned up nicely and the job looks great and far exceeded expectations.

Short answer, it went great. Mr. John Valentini, project manager, took care of all the planning. He called and coordinated with Solar City for them to come over and uninstall and reinstall the solar panels. Mr. John Valentini did all the work for us. He truly made it very easy and enjoyable. Thank you John for all your work and help. Would I recommend Homefix Custom Remodeling to anyone? You bet I would. After all the coordination that John did, I am not calling any other home remodeling company. The crew members were awesome and a joy to work with.

Fantastic. The only thing I didn't like was haggling over the price. Several of my friends are interested to talk to them about replaces windows It was an outside contractor installing the downspout. Had symptoms of being a racist and yet he was trying to drum up additional business from me.

The installation went okay. There was an issue that was not able to resolve involving screens for the patio French doors. The manager from the home office took my concerns into consideration, research what, if anything, could be done, then got back with me with final response. All in all the installation was okay. The down side is the installers spilled some paint on my hardwood floors without cleaning it up. The good thing is the spill was minimal, but enough for me to notice. The information was reported.

They found me on the street while I was getting the mail. I told him I didn't want to talk to him. He kept pushing and pushing for about 15 minutes and I finally agreed to make an appointment. I made an appointment, fellow came out to the house. He gave me a price of $60,000 to do the work, told me my house was in bad condition. I told him I couldn't afford that. He spent about 5 hours in my house, It was a terrible thing I couldn't get rid of him. He kept pushing and pushing, and he kept dropping the price. So when he finally made an agreement, I guess I did it to get rid of him. I called the the next day and cancelled it. Then I had other people calling me and kept pushing it, and dropped the price down to 38000 I agreed and then called and cancelled it. Someone else called me and finally dropped it down to 35,000. then somebody else called and dropped it down to 30000. I agreed on that and they gave me a year and a half to pay for it cause I didn't have the money. They came out here and I was so upset, I tried to cancel it completely but they told me I couldn't cancel. It was a hard experience for maybe 2 weeks. They were highly rated on your List for good work so I guess that is why I agreed to it. They came out and did a fantastic job. A fellow named David was in charge of it and he was just great. Everything that was hanging on the porches was put back with perfect detail. Everything was great and they did wonderful work. But the whole idea of getting to the price that I got to and the aggravation I had to go thru for a couple weeks was almost more than I could handle. They came out the day they said they would. They finished the whole project with a whole bunch of gremlins running around the house. The guy David was phenomenal, I can't praise him enough. If they lost him, they would probably suffer a big loss. I would give the workers an A. Everything was an A except the whole process getting to it I feel sorry for any customer who they come out and see because they double the price to start with. And that really bothers me, beware of their tactic. I would be scared to use them again, but I loved the work.

I am very pleased with the results and how well I was treated by everyone I met and spoke to from HCR. The sales person gave me great information about the cost of roofs over the last 3 years and projected for the next 3 years which convinced me to do mine NOW. They worked with me to have it done on the date that worked for me. Everyone on the installation team was professional and friendly. They even cut an overhanging tree limb! The product selection was very good and I got what I wanted for the price that made sense.

Homefix Custom Remodeling did an amazing job replacing our old heavy in-swinger doors out to the deck with beautiful sliding glass doors. I highly recommend Homefix Custom Remodeling for all home improvement needs. I am a very discerning customer and they exceeded my expectations at every level! First, the sales team was very helpful in assisting us with selecting the right doors and we could not be more pleased with how they turned out. HCR arrived precisely at the time we agreed upon and got right to work. The installers were professional and courteous and all dressed in bright yellow HCR shirts, which gave us the comfort that we had professional installers working at our home rather than make-up crew that was picked up on the way to the job. The work was thoroughly explained to us and completed very quickly by the installers and the quality is unmatched. We have hired several other contractors in the last few years with varying degrees of satisfaction but now that we have found HCR we will not be using any other contractors. HCR is simply the best home improvement contractor we have ever worked with. HCR had the best price (as we obtained several quotes for the work), the best service (none of the other contractors we have used in the past even come close to the service we received from HCR), the best quality and the best communication and follow up we have ever received from any contractor. . A+++ Job!!

After having a great experience with HCR installing our roof, we decided to call them out to quote replacing our gutters. They were beginning to rot in several corners and overflowed with heavy rains, so we wanted to upgrade to six inch gutters. The company was lower than another estimate that I got over the phone and we signed with HCR. Once again, a crew showed up as we were leaving for work and had the job, including cleanup, finished before we got home. The gutters looked great and the crew had followed exactly the special instructions we had left them for positioning one of the downspouts. When we received the first heavy rains a week later, the gutters held up great but one of the downspouts leading under our deck did not have an extension on it and caused water to build up next to our house. I called the CEO (he had previously left us his number to call if we needed anything) and explained the situation. He vowed immediately to make it right and the next morning had a worker come out to climb under our deck with only two feet of clearance and secure an extension for the larger six inch downspout. I’d recommend them to anyone for their ability to be really responsive to make things right and for the solid work they do.

The salesman came to our house, was friendly and was able to quote within our price range. The installation crew showed up when we were leaving for work. They were done when we got home in the evening, including cleaning up everything and our roof looked great. We didn’t believe they would be able to get it done in one day, but we were pleasantly surprised to come home to a new roof. Several of our neighbors with similar homes (2 story, 4-5,000 sq ft) had their roofs done earlier in the year and had crews working on it for days. HCR was extremely efficient and the job was done well. On top of that, the owner/CEO of the company called me to personally check on how the job went. He randomly calls customers to make sure they had a good experience – I was floored. You could tell he was a genuine person who cared about his customers and the work that HCR’s name is attached to. We decided to use them again to do our gutters and will definitely use them when we eventually need to replace our siding and front door.

It went well. I don't know about the price because I have not talked to anyone else.

It went fine. The salesman was easy to work with, and the work was done as promised. We went into the process knowing we wanted the work done, so it was not the same experience as those who started with a salesman pushing the work on them.

Sales agent Jim C. was very professional and personable in his discussions with me and my wife. He spoke clearly as he thoroughly described the company (Homefix Custom Remodeling) and their garage doors. We also discussed details of the costs, discounts, financing, and warranty. I was confident Jim offered me his best deal. Scheduling of the installation was easy and the installer (Dave B.) called me to confirm the details of the installation. Dave was also very professional with the installation, wasting no time while he was here. He spoke clearly and answered all my questions. My wife and I are very pleaed with the final result.

One of the company's reps knocked on my door with info on HCR, who was doing a job in my neighborhood. I made an appointment to discuss windows in mid-May. The salesman was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable of the products he carried. He allowed me time to think about the products and financing options available. Two days after I signed the contract, the salesman called to confirm my financing approval and scheduled a gentleman to stop by in three days to accurately measure for my new windows and sliding glass door. The gentleman showed up on time and measured each window and the sliding glass door. The salesman told me it would take up to 60 days to build my windows, and that I will be contacted when they are ready for installation. About 4 weeks later, a company rep called to schedule my installation! The company's employees showed up promptly on the scheduled installment day and did an excellent job of replacing my windows and sliding glass door. They cleaned up after themselves and did not damage the areas around the windows during the install. The entire job was completed within one day, within the time frame originally scheduled. The foreman showed me how to operate the window's features, and how to operate the sliding glass door. I was impressed by the professionalism and courteousness of all the company's employees. The front of my townhouse gets full sun several hours a day, and the old windows allowed heat to radiate through them. The new windows have a feature that keeps the heat from radiating through! The sliding glass door in the basement has a security locking feature at the bottom, eliminating the need to add a piece of wood or metal in the bottom track.

Three young men came to our door and asked if I would like an estimate to replace our roof. One of the three did all the talking. Not sure why the other two were with him. The company was going to be in the area and could give us good deal. I already have two estimates and reluctantly decided to get a third. The lead person said that my wife would have to participate when the company provided an estimate. I said that was not necessary. He pushed back and I told him that was not going to happen. My experience has been, when companies require a spouse to participate there is a long hard sell and I didn't want to go through that. We agreed upon a date and time. He called someone in the headquarters to set up the appointment. He person in headquarters asked to speak to me. He wanted to confirm the date and time of the appointment and indicated that my spouse had to be here. I said that was not going to happen. He pushed back but I held firm. I was given flyer with the date and time of our appointment. Yesterday was the appointment. No one came and no one called. I just purchased a car that was significantly more than the cost of replacing my roof and the car dealer never mentioned having my wife with me. From reading the other reviews this is a stand tactic of this company.

Mr Chris Dobbins from HCR responded to my request for a new roof estimate. He set up an appoinment and showed up on time. He presented how HCR installs a new roof with their method. I was very impresses and pleased with the price. They kept me informed during the entire process. They were very professional, prompt and cleaned up the debris in an outstanding manner. The workers were very nice, very competent and cleaned up everything nicely. They did it in one day. They have a home office in Virginia and then they also have people in the Baltimore area. I had interviewed several different companies about having my roof re-done and they were one of the companies. At the time they offered me a price of something like $6,800. I knew I could get a better price than that. Homefix did call me back and wanted to come out again. They thought they could give me a more competitive bid. They did come out and gave me $5,500. The person that came out told me he was a manager. That was the only thing I did not like. I felt like from the beginning they could have given me that $5,500 price, I would think, you know, if they really wanted to. It was the architectural shingles, the better quality shingles, the supposedly guaranteed for life kind of thing which some roofers offer and some don't. The workmanship and quality of the product were very good. But I just did not like that sort of dealing so much. There were a few companies that might have been a little bit cheaper, but I felt like they were a larger company and did have a reputable website and stuff like this. I was very satisfied with the workmanship, quality and everything they did as well as their cleanup and all that. They were very responsive. I think they could just offer their best price upfront. They left the area cleaned up very nice.

The installers did a good job. They had to frame out part of the door frame do to water issues from the old door. It looks great.

First, a sales person knocked on our door unsolicited. But I scheduled for a free estimate to replace my roof. But in the name of a free estimate they were basically making a sales pitch for more than 2 hours. The person didn't provide an estimate until about an hour into his sales pitch. As someone below has already mentioned, they provided two estimates. One good for an year, the other a "today only" price. We felt uncomfortable to decide on the spot and said we will keep the one year price in mind. But then the sales rep got very aggressive. He pushed hard for us to make a decision right at that moment. I felt it was a very strong arm sales tactic, kind of used by timeshare sales reps. I cannot comment on their work. But I would not be comfortable dealing with this company.

An HCR salesperson came to our home (unsolicited), and proceeded to tell us about our roof, and how other neighbors had used them. We told them we were not even remotely interested. A neighbor next door told me that they mentioned to them that HCR was doing work at my home ( untrue). Now, I've been receiving incessant calls from multiple phone lines at HCR that I have an appointment scheduled. ( again, untrue). I want this company to stop bothering me and my family!

After meeting with the salesman and giving them the deposit, it took about a month for them to come out and install. They were very prompt with the install once they were here. After the install however things went very wrong. After winter ended and the rain came we noticed that one of the downspouts was too low and our downspout extension was no longer taking the water away from the house but leaking back toward the house onto the front porch. We have called the Service Manager twice only to leave messages and no return call. So while the price was average and the install was good, the poor customer service should drive potential customers away from this business. It has been three weeks and we have yet to receive one phone call from them to fix the problem. We will not be using them for our future siding and painting work we plan on doing this year. April 4, 2016 Update: I am very impressed that the day after I reviewed this company that not only did management call me but the owner called me as well assuring me that they would make it right. Within an hour the installer called and said that they would be over today to make it right. They came in the window they promised even though they had a full day and the rain delayed them at a job. The looked at the problem and they agreed that the downspout was too low and they also checked the others. They made adjustments to all of them and replaced the extensions and made it nicer than before the install. That was totally unexpected and appreciated. I must say this company is a class act because they investigated where the problem was on their end and made sure they took care of it right away. Thank you HomeFix.
