He was extremely helpful, all he had to do was turn it around, but was perfectly kid about it, and also noticed it was difficult to manage. He asked if I would like it replaced. When I told him yes he went out and brought in a new one and it has been a joy to use since. It's much more attractive. I am so absolutely please, and I think I got good service.

The experience with Hawkins electric was fantastic. Very professional, prompt, and the cost was much less than other estimated fees for the same service.

Everything tuned out fine. They were professional. Scheduling was easy and we did not have any problems with them. There was one technician here doing the work he was quick on the job. It was nice to have someone come in and do what they say they are going to do and at the price they said they would do it at.

Hawkins Electric contacted me that afternoon after purchasing the Big Deal and scheduled a service technician. The Service Technician arrived as scheduled. He carefully took down the old fan and light and assembled and installed the new fan and light. He made sure the work area was cleaned. I need to note that this was not an easy install. The old fan had plaster inside the electrical box and had to carefully be removed before the new fan could be installed. I was very impressed with the company and the technician. Very professional. I would definitely use Hawkins Electric again.

Had asked for someone who could also install a programmable thermostat when we placed the order. The technician who arrived didn't feel comfortable installing the thermostat, so we didn't have him do that, but now we have another work order to schedule. But, he was very helpful and explained everything. We thought the pricing was a bit high, but the owner was very accommodating. All in all, we were pleased with the experience and plan to use them again.

The electrician went above and beyond by helping one of the contractors on site to wire an outlet. Very pleased with the service.

First, the appointment process is VERY professional. She told me that two guys would be servicing the project and gave me their names and a description of the truck. I was impressed with her prepping the customer. The electricians were very polite and professional. The work was done for much less than the estimate provided by another electrician that I also found on Angie's. One particular concern we had was some wiring in the attic that seemed exposed although they were covered with plenty of electrical tape. The electrician explained why a previous electrician left the wiring in that state and knew exactly what to do to remedy it. We took advantage of the coupon offer.

Showed up on time, completed work quickly and correctly. Would definitely use this contractor again.

The service was great. They were professional and efficient and I'm actually reaching out to them again for additional work.

Wonderful all across the board but pricey. Paid $300 for 1 hour work to fix a loose wire in an outlet.

When I called the office, the lady (cannot remember her name) was vary polite -- she even told me about some coupons to print to save with the cost. She called me an hour later to let me know Brian was on his way. Brian arrived on time, fixed the wiring issue and installed the new light fixture all under an hour. Brian also pointed out an issue that I need to address in the future. Will certainly use Hawkins again. I am thankful that I found them on Angie's List.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was okay. I would recommend them.

Took advantage of Special. Two guys installed the fans. Went OK. Used again for another job install fan, did OK.

They identified another problem and suggested a less expensive fix for us. I thought it was expensive, but I don't really know how their prices compare with other companies. They did good work, however, and I would probably hire them again

Brian came on time and checked the whole house. I needed an inspection since I recently bought the house and the home inspector said I need an electrician to take a look since there were several "curious" things he found. Brian went through the whole house and confirmed what I already suspected from the home inspection results - thankfully he didn't find any more surprises. I only know the basics of electrical systems, and Brian was good at answering all my questions even if I didn't understand the first time and had to ask it again. I don't know if Hawkins is alone in this, but Brian mentioned that since he did the inspection, he can give me an exact quote of what the electrical box replacement would cost. Any surprise costs during the installation would not be my responsibility since a full inspection was done. This is a great way to offer quoting. I'm not sure if only Hawkins does this or if it is pretty standard. Either way - I think it's a great practice. The box installation was a little more expensive than I thought, but I didn't consider the need for GFCIs in the breaker and permit costs. After all was said and done - the price is in line with what my expectations were. They were even throwing in the installation of a new ground pole and providing a map of the breaker switches at no extra cost. The previous owner of the house didn't leave any mapping at all, so that is a nice bonus. Overall, this seems to be a good honest company to work with. Highly recommend.

I purchased a Hawkins "electrical safety inspection" from Angie's List. They came within a few days of when I called for the appointment and the technician made a thorough review of my electrical box, outlets, etc. He provided me a written list of the issues he found and we discussed each one in detail. He was professional, knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Based on the inspection I asked him for a quote to fix the items we discussed and I feel he did not recommend anything I did not really need or pad the quote in anyway. I agreed to the quote and he came back within 3 days to fix everything on the list including updating my electrical box and outlets up to code, and installing several new fixtures and a switch. He was here almost all day but was quiet and cleaned up before he left. I highly recommend Hawkins Electrical Services!

Super impressed. The company was responsive, the electrician (Brian) was clear about what needed to be done and did the work that same day from about 10am to 4pm when other companies voiced hesitation about dealing with Fairfax County and being able to get out next day. The pricing was good and everyone seemed to understand it was an emergency for us given the freezing temperatures. They did great work, followed up, and made an excellent impression. We will use them in the future.

Hawkins Electric Service installed a light/fan that I purchased. In addition to the Big Deal (fan installation), I added on the installation of a remote control. The company was prompt & diligent about following up on my purchase of the BD & scheduling the work. The installer arrived early for my appointment (after calling to see if that would be OK), unpacked the fan, explained to me what he would be doing, performed the installation and carried away all the packing materials and my old fan. He was professional and courteous. I would hire Hawkins again with no reservations.

Analysis of electrical problem and replaced outlet.

First thing they said was there was a 57 dollars fee just to come out to look at it, I asked if the 57 dollars would be covered if I got the work done, they said no. I called the owner and told him that was bad business practices because I have a couple business, he said he would be glad to waive it, and I replied it is too late, I already found another business to do the work. I thought it was very unprofessional, it is not business like.

It went fine. Just unable to go forward.

Scheduling went well and I did not have any problems. One technician came out and it took about 45 minutes to the complete the work. I am satisfied with the work they did.
