A technician came out to do an estimate. Reeived a call that they were not aware it was commercial a property and would have another technician to come out and do the estimate. The lady that was in contact with us was very polite and professional throughout the whole process of scheduling an appointment. We can not give an actual grade on services because no service was completed. We would contact them again if future work is needed based on communication.

The two electricians arrived promptly. The coupon offer was for installation of 4 recessed lights; however, my area would not accommodate such and be aesthetically pleasing. Rather than have me not receive the full benefit of the offer, the electricians offered to provide another service (a whole house electric inspection). Since I didn't need that, I asked if they would install a light fixture in the hallway instead as that was a pending project I had. They agreed to return and do that since I had not already bought the fixture. When I purchased the fixture I called the company and they promptly scheduled this service. On both occasions the electricians were very professional.

Brandon arrived on time and installed the lighting quickly and professionally. He needed to leave to get the coupling tool that his dispatcher did not tell him that he would need, but was back quickly. Brandon also discovered that the copper-aluminum coupling on my light switch was not properly done and he was able to repair it with the CPSC recommended COPALUM coupling.

I had a water heater installed and the plumber said the power cord to connect it was too old and worn and would have to be replaced. I called Hawkins to do this because I had used them recently for another job and been pleased. The electrician looked at the cord and determined that it was in fact fine, and the plumber had tried to connect it incorrectly. He did have to pare it back a couple of inches to expose some new wire, then made the connection easily. The whole job took just 10 or 15 minutes. I appreciate that he was able to accomplish the goal with a much less expensive solution than I had been prepared for. However, the original charge (more than I finally paid) was considerably higher than I thought was reasonable for the amount of time spent.

Great job, the only thing I did not know was that they would have to cut holes in the my ceiling and not fix it, I had to get another company to patch the holes. It would be nice if they pointed out the fact that you will need drywall work done.

I called Hawkins to remedy a situation that another electrician had supposedly fixed last year. A faulty circuit that supplies power to three switches and the porch light had gone bad, making the power to those outlets unreliable. Lamps would flicker and go dark, computers suddenly switch to battery power, etc. When this first began to happen last year I hired a different electrician, who claimed to have fixed it, but recurred soon after. For a while we decided to just live with it because it wasn't that severe, but recently it worsened so that the outlets were losing power for extended periods, not just flickering. Dave from Hawkins arrived promptly at about 8:30 a.m. and worked methodically to locate the problem. For quite a while he found nothing, but then he located a junction box in the attic that the first electrician I hired had never found. Inside was a clearly burned wire nut and loose connection. However, it turned out that was only part of the problem because after he restored that connection, the circuit was still not getting power even though his tester showed that there was power at the junction box. Eventually the solution we decided on was to run new wires from the junction box to the circuit, abandoning the old wiring which clearly still had a fault somewhere between that box and the outlets. The only thing we could not do was restore power to the porch light. He left it set up so that it will be fairly easy to run more new wiring out to the porch light, but we chose to save that for another project. I give them an A on price because I was not charged an hourly rate. There were three charges: a $59 service charge, a charge for the diagnostic service and a charge for running the new wiring. Dave told me upfront what each charge would be. He spent about 4 1/2 hours diagnosing and repairing the problem, so if I had been being billed by the hour this could have easily come to double what it was. In addition, he obviously knew what he was doing and was patient and thorough all the way through. I will definitely hire this company the next time I need an electrician.

Fabulous experience; excellent work; very professional; very low-maintenance (meaning that the work was completed without interrupting my own work in my office). I have found my new electrician.

They did a good job. They communicated very well and they always know your status in where you stand as a consumer. I was very happy with them and they provide work at a competitive price.

The electrician arrived on time. He went to the electrical panel and then went all over the house floor to floor reviewing my outlets, my smoke alarms, my gas detectors and the amount of power coming into my home. He wrote up a very thorough assessment of my electrical power, deemed my house safe, sufficiently powered and then gave me estimates on a variety of upgrades that could be done at my convenience. The electrician was competent, patient, thorough and I would definitely consider his company for any future electrical work. I highly recommend them.

Over all the service was good and the electrician did a great job for the hour that he was here. For two small jobs which took less than an hour the total was 160.75. I thought this was reasonable. The charge to replace a light switch was 62.00 The charge to install a flood light was 93.00 be aware that there is a Service charge of 59.00 Then there was a 5.75 TFS charge which I assume is tax for service charge. Hawkins was responsive and did good work.

I have been having power surges in my recently purchased home. Hawkins made an appointment in just a few days from the time I called. The electrician dispatched was a gentleman by the name of Dustin. He very quickly identified the problem and made the repairs in just a few hours. Most of that time was spent trying to find an obsolete main breaker. Dustin was professional and very courteous. He was driving a logo'd Hawkin's truck and wearing a uniform with his name and the company's logo on it. This made identifying him very easy and made me feel confident that I would allow this company to come to my house when my wife and children are home alone. Dustin and the office manager also helped liaise with a less than helpful power company. The owner actually brought the part to the house. All in all a very good experience. My only disappointment was the cost of the breaker. It was double what I initially thought this repair would cost.

The electrician showed up on time and did a great job installing the lights. There were three small holes in the wall which we had to patch later, but everything was done according to the deal. I would hire again.

They checked my electricity and outlets. They tried to sell me something for an extravagant price. All I wanted them to do check my outlets. Even if I wanted to get the work done I wouldn't have had it done by them. I don't think the guy really knew what he was talking about.

The electrician could not do the job as advertized since the wiring in the ceiling reportedly could not be used to complete this job.

I liked their Website, it was easy to find info I was seeking. I like businesses that can communicate by email. I work during usual business hours and it is not as easy for me to make time during my work day to conduct personal business. I submitted their Contact Us Quick Contact form online. I waited about a week and heard nothing. Wanting to get their estimate since they are rated highly on Angies List and located in my area, I gave them a phone call. A professional, courteous woman answered and apologized for their lack of response. She said that they were having trouble with their Website Contact us form. Ok, fine, I thought, I can certainly forgive that. The woman took my contact information. She told me the name of the person who would need to talk to me, said he was currently on the phone, and that she would leave a message for him to contact me. I've not heard from anyone at the company since. I've not taken my time to contact them again. It's disappointing when reaching out to a highly rated company takes extra effort on my part.

We were very satisfied with Hawkins Electric. They were very professional and came to our home promptly to install the panel.

A kind gentleman named John arrived in a marked company vehicle 15 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time and sat outside until 5 minuets before the appointment. John came to the door identified himself, put on shoe covers, went over what the inspection covered and asked if I had any particular issues. John did a thorough inspection and corrected the issues of concern within an hour. I spent an additional $225. 00 for the services and felt confident that my family would be safe as a result of the repairs.

We were renovating our kitchen and when we tore down our soffit, we had some wiring that needed to be re-routed. We called them on a Thursday and we were able to have them come out on Friday to a**** what can be done. We got an estimate on the spot and we decided to go ahead with them doing the work and they were able to come out for a longer appointment on Tuesday. By the time they came out on Tuesday, we had knocked down the wall where they were going to re-wire and they needed to do a completely new estimate because the job had changed. They had all of the supplies with them for the new job and they completed the same day, with no need to come back another time. As homeowners that were doing the job themselves, it was important to stay within a timeline. They were professional and knowledgeable, and they walked us through what was going to happen before anything was done and then they explained what had happened once the job was completed.

I described the lighting situation in the office suite to Chuck. He basically told me that the job was too small for him to come out personally and look it over. Instead he asked for me to describe what information had been given to me by another gentleman from a different electrical company that had already come to my office and given me an estimate. I explained that I'm not familiar with lights and wiring and I didn't fully understand what information he needed. He told me that he could quote me over the phone, because he was far away (our office is in DC) and I allowed him to quote me the price of around $100 for parts per light. That would mean that this job would probably cost around $1000+ and apparently a job like that is too small for this company to make an effort to come to my office for an estimate. Overall, that's bad customer service, all customers and situations should be addressed with the same care or else a business cannot become reputable, as it would seem like they have a double standard.
