High estimate on changing electrical panel. I had the work done by another vendor.

The servicman from Hawkins Electric Services Inc was professional, very courteous, very knowledgeable, wasn't pushy, answered all my questions, and asked me if there was something I wanted him to look for.

They were courteous and professional. They did the job as expected. Their price was reasonable.

The technician arrived on time. He was very patient and explained things in terms I can understand. My boyfriend couldn't make it and I asked if he would talk to him and explain his findings, he had no problem with that. He left me detailed paperwork at the end of the inspection. It was a good overall experience.

I had an appointment scheduled for 9AM. Was later asked, and agreed, to move the appointment to 930AM to accommodate a staff meeting. Called at 950AM to ask for a status on the electrician's arrival and was told by the woman answering the phone that his meeting started late and she would ask for a status update. By 10AM I called again and didn't get an answer on the estimated arrival time so I cancelled. The woman who answered the phone didn't seem to care.

We called Hawkins Electrical after purchasing a Big Deal for a whole-home electrical inspection. They were very helpful on the phone and were able to get us on the schedule for 11 AM appointment on 4/29. The morning of 4/29 I called to confirm our 11 AM appointment time and was told our service window was between 11 AM and 2 PM. My husband and I were able to rearrange our work schedules to be at home during the window. Shortly after 2 PM they called to say they were running behind and ask if we could switch to their last appointment for the day (around 4 PM). We both had to get back to work so we said we would call back later to reschedule for a different day. After checking our work schedules we called back to reschedule for 5/6. We were told we would be the first appointment for the day with a window between 8 and 8:30. After not showing up during the scheduled service window on 5/6 we called and were told we had a 10:30-12:30 service window. I completely understand that there are occasionally delays and mix ups, which is why we rescheduled after the first delay on 4/29 but if we are going to hire someone who may potentially do several jobs in our home, we need to be able to count on them to arrive on time. Hawkins Electrical may do great electrical work but unfortunately this scheduling experience has soured our opinion of this service provider.

Jason called me back. He was great in that he said to me, I could come out and charge you but I don't feel I need to. He said it was a Pepco issue and that I needed more amps. It was truly Pepco's problem. He was very forth right and considerate of my pocket book. He also gave me his cell phone number just in case I had a problem. I was tickled. He was very professional, courteous, and timely in his response. I would consider using their services in the future.

They are professional. They have attention to detail. I was so impressed that I called them back for additional services. Now, if I need electrical or lighting services, I will only call Hawkins.

Arrived on time... thorough inspection... could find nothing that needed upgrading or fixing

They did a great job. They were honest, reliable and easy to get in touch with. They call right back and come when they said they will come.

I like the fact that they were punctual. I thought the price was high. I did have a couple of issues. I think the work ultimately was good. It was pricey but I thought it was worth it. Except for there was a little bit of a glitch. When he was checking to put in the arc fault interrupter, for whatever reason, they could not get them to work and they told me that most probably, I had really big issues with all of my electrical wiring and that I would have to have the whole thing looked at which would involve opening walls and most probably replacing all my wiring. The other man fixed the problem by realizing that there was a crack in the piece of the panel that was causing the arc to close. So, it doesn't have anything to do with electricity, it was to do with the panels which cost less than $1. I just thought, here is somebody who is telling me that I could potentially spend $7000 on fixing electrical, much less not including the price of fixing all the walls and the painting and all that. I t almost gave me a heart attack. I think an apology would have been warranted and they didn't. They did do what I hired them to do. The work that they did was good. It was just giving me a heart attack and telling me I was going to spend a lot of money for work that wasn't necessary.

The electrician was professional, punctual, answered all the questions I had based on the assessment he made of the electrical system in my house. However, overall the suggested improvements didn't seem to me to warrant the estimated price compared to estimates I received from other electricians to achieve the same improvements - hence the reason I gave this an overall B.

Hawkins Electric Services, Inc. is an AMAZING company. We feel safe in their capable hands. They provided us with last minute help with our electric box when we needed it, and we couldn't be happier with how things turned out. PLEASE use Hawkins Electric Services, Inc. You will not be disappointed. They are fabulous!

Again, Hawkins came through with shining colors when they updated our electrical panel. They did their work efficiently, effectively, and expertly. We can't be more pleased than we are with this company! We plan on having the rest of the house Copalumed by Hawkins in the summer, when we can take more time off of work to get the job done. They warranty their work, and they stand by their work confidently. David Gale is a master electrician with Hawkins who keeps safety as his first priority!

We are EXTREMELY satisfied with Hawkins Electric Services, Inc. From the pleasant and helpful Alison in the office, to their fabulous master electrician, David Gale, Hawkins provides us with peace of mind, professional interactions, and, best of all, a job done exceedingly well. Since we have three cats, we were worried about pieces of wire or screws getting lost in the carpet after the outlets and fixtures were Copalumed. However, that was not the case. Not a single piece was left out of place, nor were there any leftover surprises found on our floors. We have never met such a careful and meticulous worker as David Gale. In a world of scammers, we have finally found the true deal...a company of professionals we can trust!

We bought the Big Deal of $399 for 4 new recessed lights off of Angie's List. We added 2 additional lights. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. Would use Hawkins Electric Service in the future.

They arrived on time, slipped "booties" over their outdoor shoes, efficiently checked all outlets as well as the fuse box, then gave me specific upgrade/safety recommendations. Came back a week later with the appropriate permit to upgrade the fuse box to 200 AMP, one circuit outlet (because of change from electric to gas range), and installed GFCIs in the laundry room.

Service persons were professional and personable.

The electrician was on time. He installed multiple lights and replaced a switch that needed replacement. He was Very honest. I also had him give me a quote for future work. I will use him again.
