Picked the service based on other reviews and low cost. Beware ... you get what you pay for, sometimes less! In this case, LESS! Provider showed up promptly. I had already moved all of the furniture myself (was told later that service was not provided). Once he looks at the carpet (Berber), I was told that it would be a higher cost to clean the carpet. Really? Why wasn't this told to me by the person making the appointment when I called? Then, I was told that only water ... yes, only WATER would be used to 'clean' the carpet and that if I wanted soap to be used, it would be a higher price. Total bait and switch. Do not use. Do as I did (after they left), go to Walmart and use the money to buy a Hoover home carpet cleaning machine (about the same price) as what this company will charge you. I did and re-cleaned the same areas that this company cleaned. Lots of dirt came up that was left behind by these so-called 'professionals.'

I called them because they had a $65 special to steam clean 5 rooms. So, I expected that it would be about $150-200 max. But the steam cleaning special is only a cleaning with water. So, if you want them to use a special detergent to really clean, there was a charge of $35-55/room. The price caught me off guard since I had expected a little over $65, but ended up paying closer to $400. Also, because it the carpets were wet, everything looked to be consistent and clean. But once it dried, many of the spots in the carpet were still there, esp. the ones in the family room rug. Also, when I had had my carpets professionally cleaned before, they would always steam clean the closet carpet as well. This time, Clean 4 Clean did not do that. I had used them 2 other times before and had very positive experiences, which is why I called them again. If I were rating out of 5 stars, I'd probably have given the most recent experience a 3/3.5 stars but the prior 2 experiences a 4/4.5 star. I will probably give them another chance before looking elsewhere.

Booked appt 3 weeks in advance. Day came and went and after calling company found out they had no record of my scheduled appointment and had had a computer problem causing some appointments to get deleted. However, set up rescheduled appointment for 8:00am the next day. The technician called me at 9:00am to say he was coming from Baltimore and was still 40 minutes away. Not sure why someone from Baltimore would be promised for 8:00am appt having to go through morning rush hour and such a distance for 900 sq ft of carpet cleaning. Nonetheless, my frustration was the delayed arrival yet again. Guy was here 30-45 minutes at best and could hardly tell anything had been done except for having wet carpet. In fact, there were trails of dirty marks left behind from his equipment. Sent email to company with pictures and received no response. Experience was frustrating and took more time and energy than I had expected. Buyer beware. Company also uses name Choice Green Clean.

I just moved into a new home and the clothes dryer was not drying the clothes. I pulled apart the vents and realized that there was A LOT of lint in the line. Concerned about fires, I promptly started looking for someone to come as soon as possible. Truth be told, I was looking for the cheapest deal and the online coupons for this company were really good. When I made the appointment, the gentleman on the phone was rather short with me, and kept asking me about the house vents. I agreed to let them look at the system, but I was really only concerned about the dryer at this time. When the technician Marcus arrived, he was confused about the work that was to be done (not sure how well these people communicate with each other). However, after we discussed the issues, he promptly got to work on the dryer vent. It was SO disgusting that I have no idea how on earth there was no fire here before, the pile of lint that he pulled out was astonishing! The technician also performed the air duct cleaning, but I rejected the option to sanitize the system, that seemed like a $285 overkill. Overall, I was impressed with the technician, but not so much with the home office experience.

We specifically called them because we have a bird that created a nest in an exhaust vent. We figured that if we were going to have someone come out we might as well have the dryer vent and the HVAC duct work cleaned as well. The price quoted on the phone was different than the price quoted once the technician arrived at our house. They quoted us an additional 25$ beyond the normal cleaning fee to remove the birds nest. The technician who came to do the work told us it was an additional 50$ instead. After the technician cleaned all the vents the bathroom was filled with nesting material, insulation, and debris. There was a pile of dryer vent waste sitting in our driveway. He informed my girlfriend that she was responsible for cleaning us the mess after the duct cleaning. She then paid the fee (with the additional charges) and the technician left. Once I realized this we called the company back. They were very rude in the response to the difference in the price and basically told us we shouldn't have had the contractor do the work if we didn't agree with him. While I totally understand that yes, we did have the work performed, my point was that it reflects a bad business practice to quote one price on the phone then raise the price days later once the scheduled work is to be performed. They then proceeded to conference in the technician and ask him about the cleaning. He told the manager on the phone that my girlfriend "Offered" to do the cleaning which was patently false. The only reason I upgraded the score to a D was the fact that the technician did come back out and clean the bathroom; but it took quite a bit of complaining on our end to make it happen. Once he did arrive he complained that he didn't charge us for some cleaning product that he used, I believe it was anti-microbial spray, and that we should have been grateful.

Clean 4 Clean carpet cleaners advertised steam cleaning five rooms for $65. The price was too good to be true: it was the worst carpet cleaning service I have seen. When I made the appointment, I asked about stain removal. The answer: "Our technicians will do their best." The customer service rep failed to mention that stain removal is NOT INCLUDED in the price ! When the men arrived and I showed them the rooms, they informed me that the carpets needed deep cleaning which costs $49.95 for each room, adding $250 to the price. I was not prepared to spend that much. I should have sent them away, but I had the rooms ready and had the basic cleaning done anyway. The cleaning process used wasn't hot water extraction which generally goes by "steam cleaning" as I had expected. Some areas were soaked (hardwood to carpet threshold) and I had to go around patting towels on the carpet to absorb excess water. Other areas remained dry. Soapy water was sprayed into vents. When they left, the men poured the leftover soapy water from their machine into the gutter. When I told them, they are polluting ground water, rivers and lakes by disposing of the soapy water there and it should be poured in the toilet or sink, they didn't seem to know. Not environmentally-friendly. In summary, I will never use this company again. - I had used another Angie's List company before who did both levels for $200 and did a great job.

They did an excellent job with the carpet cleaning. They often have coupons online.

provider was 1 hour late, tried to upsell uv light. even they were called primarily for air duct cleaning, they at first refused to provide the service because they brought only one man.

I wanted duct cleaning and check HVAC system . I call them on Monday and Wednesday we had an appointment . My HVAC system had not been cleaned in a several years and technician left it looking brand new ; technician cut one horizontal vent in basement and remove hole shopping bag of dust and dogs heir ; ( previous owner of the house had 2 big dogs ) . So it was very important that he did a good job. Technician was nice and explain me all in details what he is going to do . And also I have allergy for dust . I am so happy to have the system cleaned Air in the house become much fresher . I feel huge difference of the air Quality in the house . Very recommend this company for my friends

Had the smell of something dead in the area near family room return ducts but not sure of source. We have a crawl space. Some months ago there was a skink (small lizzard) loose in the family room and we eventually lost track of it. Some weeks ago we began to smell the odor. Since the work, no odor, but also no skink remains found. While looking at the furnace it was pointed out that our UV lights were in the wrong place in the system. I will move them. Black mold was discovered in the humidifier chamber and removed.

I had coupon. They were okay, but they missed a couple of ducts, a couple of vents and they left a bit of a mess in the basement, other than that they were fine.

They are a typical bait and switch company. The promotional deals on the website are meaningless. I am charged upwords of 500 for a 3 bedroom town home. Later my friends told me of some vendors who do it for around 200. The guy agreed to move the furniture before service and I ended up moving them myself. After several calls and letters to them, I just gave up due to poor response.

I really liked them. They were not able to clean my dryer vent because there was something wrong with it so I got it fixed and then they came back out and re-did my vacuum complimentary, without any additional charge. They came on time and left my house in good order. I was not here when they did it; my daughter was and we were very happy with it.

I scheduled a carpet cleaning appointment with this vendor and they had given me an 8-10am time frame in which they were suppose to show up with a 45 minute warning phone. When I called at 9:50 just to check the status the guys said his guy was "running a little behind." When I asked what a little meant he said he would be there closer to 12pm! Ummm....2-4 hours late without even a heads up is a little absurd. When I asked to speak to the manager he said he was the manager and told me if I had a problem with them that I could "shove it" and hung up the phone on me

I scheduled a Duct and Carpet cleaning to be done before I moved into my new home. They were on time and did (what I thought) was a good job overall. I have no issues with the carpet cleaning--it appears that they did a good job with that. The issue I have is with their Duct service. I was in a rush to get this service done, so I do take fault in not asking too many questions. Which now, I realize was a mistake. I was hit with a bunch of extra charges for this service (extra return, mold cleaning) that I probably didn't need. Recently, I had a new heat pump and furnace installed in my home. The installer told me that my ducts and return (I actually only have one) were filthy and that I should really look into having them cleaned. I told him that was funny since I just paid to have them done about 3 months prior. He actually showed me what he meant and realized that i had just been burned. I called Clean 4 Clean about the issue and basically was told that since a significant amount of time has passed, it could have been a variety of issues that could have led to the dirt in the ducts. Oh, and I had to pay to have another Clean4Clean person come out to "inspect" the duct work in question. I decided it was just too much of a hassle to fight this issue and will just never use or recommend this company again. If you do decide to use them, know your HVAC system in your home and how it works...and ask lots of questions.

This was and continues to be the worst experience I have ever had with a vendor. I used a LivingSocial voucher that was meant to provide $120 of service for $60. It included all air vents, one return and one main duct. My home had multiple returns and main ducts (so they said), and the additional cost to service my system was far more than the voucher. Oddly enough, the value of the voucher was listed as only $60 -- so pricing is at best fluid. Even worse, when they changed the air filter on my furnace, they ripped out a piece of insulation / air seal that wasn't meant to be removed. In fact, they ripped a chunk of that insulation, making it unusable. They left that insulation and the dirty air filter in the middle of the floor. I let them know about the problem and made an appointment for them to come by to fix what they had broken for a Monday morning between 8 and 10. At about 8:30, they called to say they had to cancel. We rescheduled for Friday between 8 and 10. They failed to show at all, and didn't call to let me know they couldn't make it. I hope to at least get what they broke fixed, but no progress so far.

Saw ad for Clean4Clean on Angies list. The offer read unlimited vents, 1 Return and 1 main per single unit. all for $79.95. They said they would be there between 1PM & 4PM. He showed up at 3:30PM. He first went to the furnace to check it out. Told me he would have to cut a hole in the vent work above the furnace. Then he proceeded to tell the the furnace needed cleaning. That would be an additional charge. I told him no, I was having the furnace seasonal check next week. He then asked if I wanted the Dryer vent cleaned. I told him, No.Another $34.95. Next he informed me he only cleaned the vents from register to the main trunk vent. I said, the Advertisement included one main vent. I assumed that was the main line from the furnace to the heat vents. i was told, no only the vents to the main truck. I asked him, then why would you cut a hole in the Duct work above the furnace in the basement if you only cleaned the floor vents to the trunk vent. Oh, he said, that would be a total of $234,00 to have all the vent system cleaned. I told him, why would I have the vents cleaned and leave all the dirt and dust in the main vents. Needless to say, I did not have any work done. The ad was very misleading. Not having Duct work cleaned before, I should have known this was too good to be true. Wasted all afternoon. I would not recommend this company to do any work. Bait and try to get you to switch. Work was to be performed on a property that I was planning to sell or rent.

Hello,I won't take much time to provide a review because not much is needed when everything is EXCELLENT!!!Alexander, the service tech who cleaned my HVAC and duct work, installed two UV lights, and treated the sytem for microbials, was the best technician ever to service appliances in my home. Although he was not able to begin the work until late in the day, he was undetered in doing a thorough job and staying quite late to finish. He was informative, clear and concise in explaning the cost and work to be performed, his attitude was calm and congenial, and his integrity was top of the mark. My HVAC system had not been cleaned in a few years and he left it looking brand new. My home is being readied for sale and I had a home inspection scheduled for the next day, so it was veryimportant that he did a good job. The inspection went through without a hitch. I am so happy to have the system cleaned and I am certain a new owner will appreciate the 5 year cleaning agreement, which will save them a lot of money!!Aside from the review I want to comment on Alexander -I sincerely hope you will understand the value of such a quality employee. He spoke very highly of Clean4Clean and I encourage you to continue providing him with opportunities for new training and education, and promotions to supervisory or management positions within your company.Regards,Tamy Annapolis, Maryland

Previous homeowners had left a funky curry smell throughout the home. The tech did and excellent job! The next day the air was clean n fresh. He even told me to replace the new filters to help clean the air . He also cleaned dryer vent which hadn't been done since the house was but. Overall I was happy with the outcome.

I hired them at the last minute to clean the ducts of a listing I have in Falls Church. A previous company scheduled turned out to be a dryer vent (only) cleaning company so I had to quickly find a duct cleaning company that could come out the same day. The technician came out, tested the vents, showed me a sample test with purple “mold” results and pushed me to have the extra $395 service performed due to the “high toxic levels” he found. He also said it would be substantially higher fee than what I was told on the phone due to having more intake ducts, etc. As we were going to settlement in two days, I reluctantly agreed. I had several other errands and left him to do his work in a vacant home. After he finished, he showed me two air return ducts and a vent that looked amazing. Clean, shiny and just like new. When he showed me the vent connected to the furnace, from what I could see it was cleaned only up to the edge, but the furnace was rather dirty. He said they don’t go past that line or into the furnace to clean at all. I paid him $970 for the job, including the ‘mold’ treatment. When the furnace cleaning company arrived that evening (two hours later and the system had NOT been turned on), they showed me where the duct work was only cleaned where you could see from standing in front. If you leaned in, the rest of the vent was not touched. I looked at all the other vents and discovered that the ONLY vents he cleaned were the two intake ducts in the living room and one vent. The others did not even have the grate removed. The painters had not removed the vent covers before they painted, so it was obvious which vents were removed – they had the paint trim cut or torn. The floor vents in the family room have dirt debris (and even a spoon!) in them, so they were not touched. I took photos and would be happy to share them with you. This was a complete scam and a rip off. I have placed a stop payment on the check and will be reporting them to authorities for fraud!
