Description of Work: I rang them to make the booking, and they said they would call me back due to the high number of bookings. I have never had a call back, and would like a refund please. The problem I needed them to fix I ended up getting someone else to do.

Description of Work: I purchased the big deal in May. I reached out to ARS to schedule an appointment in June since I didn't hear from them. I was given a window between 2-6 for the technican to arrive at my residence. I took off of work and waited for the technician. Received a call circa 4:30 to inform me the technician had to install a water pump for a customer. I asked "even though I have an appointment, took off from work I may not get service today"? I was told after they complete the customer's water pump. I guess since I'm not a regular customer, I have to wait. ARS could not guarantee the service would be rendered that day. | |Because of my leave status at work, I'm unable to take additional hours to schedule another appointment. I will be contacting Angie's List to obtain a full refund.

Description of Work: Annual inspection and maintenance on AC system. I've used this company for many years to install and maintain AC, plus some plumbing. All their technicians seems to be well trained and professional.

Description of Work: Can't believe I had to pay $350 for an outside faucet to be replaced. They were unable to make the first appointment so had to take a second half day off to meet them for the second appointment. The actual repair took place on a third day but in the evening so didn't have to take a third half day off. Actual plumber was very nice and did good work.

Description of Work: Before any work he asks for a signature to agree with the price. I have a negotiate for prices, repair 2 bathrooms pop up $175 a pop up.

Description of Work: Serviced AC. Before I got the coupon, ARS on the phone said that they would clean the outside coil [like Sila did last year]. The technician said that would be extra. With everything he was trying to sell me additional services. Because everything "needed" an extra, I did not seriously consider anything.

Description of Work: They repaired my faucets in the bathtub. They were very old and hard to get out and replace.

Description of Work: installed central air and furnance, new water pipes, water filtration system. The installers of the air conditioner and furnace were on time and did a great job. The plumbers of the new water pipes and water filtration system did an OK job of placing the pipes, but did not do a great job with clean up. the contract company they sues to replace my dry wall and clean up took along time to do the clean up and they had to come back. A job I was told would take about 3 to 4 days took about a month and time off from my job. I would not use the company for any thing other than installing a furnace or central air. I am not sure I got the best price, but shame on me for not comparing prices with other companies. The installment payment on the work started before the work was finished a month later.

Description of Work: I had a burst pipe that connected to my outside hose (even though I winterized it). Service man was snarky and inpatient particularly when I said I was concerned with the price. He had a book with prices which he did not even try to explain which tells me the book is a scam. He cut a hole in my wall 3"x 10" to find the problem using a pocket knife and did not clean up afterwards. He then gave me a price of nearly $600 to fix a 2" slice in a plastic pipe. I was shocked and said no thanks. He then seemed pleased to say I could not get the Angie's discount without the actual coupon (I had the voucher #). He called his office and they corrected him. In the end it still cost me over $200 to get a hole cut in my wall without a repair. This did not sit well with me to say the list.

Description of Work: Plumber was very nice and took the time to explain everything to me that he was doing. Gave me lots of options.

Description of Work: Technician cleaned the aerator in about 3 minutes. I was rather taken aback when I commented on how quickly he did it and the cost. His response was in the vein of if I knew how to do it,I wouldn't need him to come out and do it

Description of Work: The techs were knowledgeable and professional and gave me an estimate for the needed service. The price was way too high ($290), but since I had a clogged kitchen sink and had purchased the Big Deal, I figured I would just go ahead with the service. I brought them the voucher and they were VERY confused with how the deal worked. After a big disagreement between the techs and myself on how the voucher worked, they tried to call their office for clarification. Whomever they spoke with backed them up on their understanding of the deal. I further insisted that this was not correct as buying the voucher then made no sense because, the way they were interpreting the deal, it was only supposed to be $50 off the service, when, in reality, it should be $100 off. I insisted that this could not be correct and tried to explain to the guy how it worked with Angie's List. We noticed a company contact name on the voucher. They called him and were unable to get him directly but gave his admin a message. He called them back a few minutes later, after more debate between the tech and me. He explained to them exactly how the deal worked. The problem was, at that point, after all this arguing, I was unwilling to pay their exorbitant quote which was $290 just to snake my kitchen sink. (After they left, I found another A.L deal for $69 to clear any one drain in the house. They came over the next morning and performed the job quickly and professionally. I will write a separate review for them.

Description of Work: I replaced a pipe under my bathroom sink. The technician was scheduled to arrive between 2 pm - 6 pm. When he did not arrive by 4:30 pm I called the company (wondered if I was scheduled). My appointment was confirmed. I was told the technician was held up at another residence. When the technician arrived shortly after 6 pm he informed his truck had broken down. After the technician nestled in he quickly fixed the leak under the sink. Although, it was clear the technician knew his job my overall experience was not positive within the main office. For that reason, I would not use this company again.

Description of Work: They service our AC unit and heat pump. They are very good.

Description of Work: I have them as my second home insurance. I had a leak in the pike in my bathroom. They arrived on time and fixed my problem. Although he couldn't see the problem, fortunately for me i had someone else come and check and was able to tell them exactly the location of the leak. He waited for the person to show, fixed my issue and i am satisfied.
