The owner and his son/apprentice arrived and began opening up the wall to locate the break and make temporary repairs. Technically, their work was fine. I was uncomfortable with their demand that we pay in cash and would not take a check. We were in a kind of an emergency, so I felt intimidated and wasn't in a mood to get into it with the guy. He actually followed me to the ATM machine so that I could get out $400 to pay him in cash. The insurance adjuster, Service Master, a contractor were all at my house surveying the damage, so I think he took advantage of the whole crazy scene and may have overcharged us. Any time someone insists on being paid in cash, I am suspicious of their business practices.
Description of Work: Repaired a frozen/burst pipe by removing the drywall, locating the breaks and replacing broken section of PVC with temporary fix until a more thorough repair could be done.

I do feel like they would have been ok but they were into high pressure sales. They wanted a commitment before I had a chance to get other estimates. The price was ok however I'm not sure what it was now. In the end I went in another direction.
Description of Work: They gave me an estimate on a new water heater.
