Guy was professional, punctual. Went downhill from there, waste of our time, his offer was the first and beat the next highest bidder by 30%.

I think the price was reasonable. They give a lifetime warranty that you can pass on to the next owner of the home. Everything was good. They were polite, neat, and quick; they sent an appropriate-sized crew to get the work done all in one day. I’m not an easy sell and I bought the windows.

The sales rep. was nice.A guy came out and measured every window. He said he used to install the windows.The installation went smoothly.The new windows look great.It was definitely a fair price.And yes we would use ThompsonCreek again.

On 3/10/12 we went to Thompson Creek and selected a sliding door for upper back porch and a back door for the basement. We also selected leaf guard gutters. On 3/20 the gutter guards were measured and cut,also measurements were done for the doors. On 3/21 the gutters were installed. On 4/17 were to be hung between 8 and 10 AM. They arrived around noon. No phone calls were made to us concerning this delay. The reason the gave was heavy traffic. They however did an excellent job.

They came and put gutters on our 2 story, 3 bedroom house with a 2 car garage. It has been really nice having gutters that don't get leaves in them and stop up or cause flooding. Their product is good quality and I didn't have any problems with them when it was installed. They were very professional.

They were great. It poured rain the entire time the guy was installing the window and that never stopped him. It was only one guy and he was there for about 8 hours; he was soaking wet but the window was installed great and perfect. I felt badly for him the whole day.

They took down the blinds and put them back up. They were good.

They did a great job. They installation team was very professional. The quality of the product and the warranty they provide are both excellent. You can actually transfer the warranty to the new home owner if needed. The salesmen were also informative.

The experience went very well. They did a great job. Their price was the most expensive but the product was much better. They also offered a lifetime guarantee. If the gutter is ever clogged or needs repair, they will come out right away. I can also transfer the warranty to a new home owner if needed. They kept us updated throughout the entire process. Everyone was professional and did a very good job. They cleaned up well. I was not present during the time of service. When I arrived home, I was not even sure if they had performed the work because it was just as clean as I had left it.

The service was great. It is a quality product. However, it is very expensive. Basically, if the gutters do clog or I ever have a problem they will come back with no additional charge. That is what you pay for initially. I believe I have a lifetime warranty. I have a lot of trees around the home so the service was well worth it.

They are good. They put the gutter covers on and had to come back a couple of times to clean them at no additional charge because I have a lot of trees.

The experience was good. It only took a day to complete the work. They were very open to listening to our wants and suggestions about the molding around the window and door.

Our experience with them was good and we would use them again in the future.

It was wonderful! Thompson Creek was as nice as could be, called several times to ensure our satisfaction, and it did an excellent job with the installation. At first, we wanted only one window done to gauge the company's work, and Thompson Creek said no job was too small. We were so impressed at how they treated us during this initial job, that we had them do our other windows as well.

They worked very carefully and explained the process to me when I had questions. Thompson Creek measured and custom fabricated each window to the size of its respective opening so they fit snugly and look great. The finishing touches look excellent as well.

Everything went well. They arrived on time, were respectful of my home and property, and they were polite.

The salesman arrived on time and was fairly thorough and knowledgeable about his product. The process took longer than I really felt like sitting through and we haggled price heavily before I opted to go ahead with this small project. The price was roughly in line with competitors so I figured I'd give it a go. We signed all the papers to get the job started/windows built and few days later another rep came out to do the final measurements for them to build the windows back at the factory. At that time I also spoke with my 'project coordinator' who set the final installation date and time (barring unforseen setbacks). Silence betwen us for awhile as the product was being built so fast forward 4 weeks: the installation dept tried to suddenly change my installation time the day before my installation was scheduled without consulting me first. I just got a voicemail at 3pm the day before stating they would be out between 12-2pm when my original schedule was for 8-10am...this was a scheduled time that was agreed upon 3-5 weeks prior. I had to get on the phone and demand to be re-scheduled for another day before the rep was able to find a compromise, but I still ended up having to alter my schedule to meet them at my house around 2pm. This was very annoying and frustrating to work around, especially on such short notice. I arrived at my home on the day of installation (straight from work) and as promised the TC guys were there waiting for me, I expecte d a few guys so they could really blow through it but it turned out it was just a QA manager there with the lone installer when I arrived. As the installer started doing his job measuring the existing windows to ensure he had the right product, the QA guy tried to get me to sign the 'completion satisfaction' and payment forms. At this point the installer literally had done nothing but he tried to get me to agree to the successful completion of the work? really? QA is supposed to ASSURE QUALITY. He was trying to get a signature and LEAVE before the work was even started. Terrible practice and insulting to the consumer. I refused to sign until the job was done and he politely stood around and lended a little help to the installer as he waited for the job to move along. As they started working, the mess started to accumulate...dust, drywall, broken glass,ect. The QA person noticed this and noticed me noticing this and asked the installer where his shop vac was, to which the installer replied 'I dont know, I didnt see it in the truck this morning'. Thats right, the installer came without so much as a vacuum cleaner to clean up after himself. The QA guy went got one from his truck (woefully small little piece of junk really and just about useless on carpet). If I hadnt made the QA person wait to leave there would have been no shop vac at all. I ended up having to vacuum my own floor thorougly as the tarp the installer brought was very small (it was max 2 feet wide and 5 feet long) and there was glass and crap everywhere. I also cleaned the winodws myself as they were covered in dirty hand prints on the WHITE vinyl and the glass surfaces. Finally, I can say the installer did a pretty decent job installing the windows. They were actually built just a little bit too big for the opening (thier mistake in measuring) and modifications to the window sill had to be made on the spot. It was a good thing the QA person was there to lend a hand as having a single person do this job might have ended badly. So far the product seems pretty okay too...

I have heard the commercials for TC and decided to give them a try. We first arranged for them to come to my rental property (which is about an hour's drive from my primary residence). I am estimating this was about three-four weeks ago. We arranged for a time on a Saturday, my family drove down to our property, and found out that the they were running so far behind, they wouldnt make it. Ok, I understand schedules, so while being a bit distressed of losing a good part of my day, i rescheduled. The next appt I had to cancel due to a family emergency, but I did tell TC that i would call back to reschedule. After what I would consider multiple phone calls to my wife's phone (borderline over the top #'s of calls), I called them to make an appointment for this past Saturday. We made if for 9AM, so again I had to drive down to Alexandria. Apparently a message was left on our voicemail for confirmation of said appointment, which we didnt get until after business hours. So after getting to Alexandria and no TC, I called. They said they wouldnt be there because I didnt confirm the appointment that I had scheduled in the first place. But they could have someone come meet me later in the day. So two appointments with no TC...i said thanks for their interest but I would be going to another company. We are still getting phone calls, which we wish they would stop.

When I made the appointment, I was questioned (at least 3 times!) to ensure that all homeowners would be present. They did not want to come out unless all they had all owners there. On 8/24/11, the salesman arrived on time. He measured the windows and then got to work on the sales pitch for the 10 windows. The 1st price I was told was $10,760 but they were offering 15% off each window, therefore, the price would be $9146. BUT... if I agreed to having a sign in my front yard and I signed that night, I would be eligible to receive an additional 10% off so now the price was $8231. While I was concerned about some of the comments on Angie's List about TC, I signed the contract based on friends comments (even tho one friend had many issues getting installation problems solved). After I signed the contract, the salesman asked me if I was sure because the office didn't like it if a customer cancelled their order. He implied that they were penalized if a sale was cancelled. Then next day I had a severe case of buyers remorse. TC was only the 2nd window vendor I had received quotes from. They had provided no technical data or spec sheets on the windows. I was afraid that I was making a very big mistake, so I sent the notice of cancellation to TC via Fedex. On 8/26, I received a phone call from the "inside sales manager" who asked me why I was cancelling the contract. I explained that I moved too quickly and needed to finish my research and get quotes from a few more companies. I mentioned that price was definitely an issue. He told me that the "inside sales manager", he has more discretion with pricing and offered me a price of $6400. He said that it was the end of the month and they really needed to meet their numbers. I said that I wanted something in writing and that I needed a few more days. He sent me an email stating that the new price was valid until 8/31/11. I was very surprised to see the price offered was $5,614! So in a manner of 3 days, a product that started at $10,760 was finally offered at $5,614! Based on the new cost, I considered it. But realized that I did not want to deal with a company that I felt was unethical. This combined with the issues my friend had with getting their problems resolved, and the other negative reviews on Angies List made me thankful that I canceled the contract. While they may have an excellent product, you are probably overpaying for it! Buyer beware!!

I decided to go with the gutters and use other company for the windows and the doors. They would not return my calls for the $7K gutter job. I believe they have a very high overhead and wanted the whole job of windows, doors, and gutters.

I called Thompson Creek because I had a good experience a few years ago. As a single woman homeowner and someone who prefers to deal with local businesses, I am OK knowing I am spending a little more than I have to. The salesperson did the usual song and dance about having to clear giving me 35% off (off of what? No idea). He explained that the sliding glass door would be around $5000 because it required extensive carpentry work to fit into what was once a garage door opening so a full day of skilled labor and lumber would be required. The installation date was scheduled for about 7 weeks from the date of the contract. When the day finally came, there was rain in the forecast (it never rained). I stayed home from work for the arranged arrival time of between 8:00 and 10:00. At 9:45 I received a call that they were not coming due to the weather. I had rescheduled all of my work appointments so lost a full day of work. We rescheduled for another day, weeks later, again on a weekday. This time, I received calls every couple of hours that the crew was running late. They finally showed up around 3:00 and when I told them there was carpentry work involved they were surprised and said they could not finish the job that day. Another work day lost. The office at Thompson Creek then scheduled the work for a Saturday and offered me $250 off for the lost workdays. The crew came and all went smoothly with the installation. In fact, no carpentry work was necessary to get the sliding glass door installed. It fit right in so the crew was done in a couple of hours and the lumber went back to the company. I called the office and told them I wanted a discount as a result, and no manager was avaiable to authorize this. So I explained I would hold back $1000 from the final payment and was assured a manager would call on Monday. Nobody called, so I emailed customer service with my story. I received an email that someone would be in touch but the only communication since has been collection letters for the $1000. The crew was great, the products are excellent, the prices are outrageous, and the organization is purely awful. UPDATE: The response from this provider is laughable. I am fine with a crew not coming in bad conditions - that has nothing to do with my issues with the company. And the promise of someone contacting me the next day (May 11) never happened (May 21).

I contacted Thompson Creek due to radio adds, local business, and advertised fact that you save money because they build their own windows. Made the request on line and there was a very quick response. When I spoke to the scheduler, I advised that, due to past experience with Window companies, if they were planning to charge $1400 per window, then not to bother with appt. The salesman was on time for the appointment. We walked around the house to view the needed work. 8 second floor windows, repair rotten wood trim around 2 dormers, gutter leaf protection, and replacement of a section of damaged siding. He stated that due to color matching issues they don't repair sections of siding - that's fair, and understandable. As for the gutter protection, which they advertise, he stated that "we'll worry about that after we're done with the windows". I found that disconcerting, but was not going to question his process.At this point, we sat through the presentation. Window construction appeared of great quality. By the time we got to the end, the estimate was for $14,000 + for the windows, and replacing dormer wood trim with new wood and vinyl cladding. At that point, the salesman went for the jugular for signing up right now. He went in to the full frontal assault of high pressure sales."How much would you like to put down today?""We take credit cards, what credit card would you like to put it on?"After a couple of minutes of dodging the bullets, I told him that we NEVER make a decision on this kind of investment on a spur of the moment.You have never seen a salesman pack up his "medicine show" so fast in your life. Gone in 60 seconds. Never a word about the gutter protection. Never a single follow up from them as to any decision made. We had NOT declined, but had told him we needed to sleep on it.After a couple of weeks, I started researching the cost of doing the windows DIY. Of course TC does not sell windows to the DIY'r...I would have seriously considered the windows, depending on the cost, but then that would expose additional issues. Researching various window manufacturers, I selected a middle/high grade window. Further, I selected solid PVC boards to repair the dormer trim (vice the significantly cheaper PVC cladding the TC offers). My total cost in materials was $3500. More than a $10,000 savings from the estimate.In summary, I am left with the following opinion:1) TC windows appear to be a great quality window too) TC windows have a cheaper cost since they make their own windows, however, that savings is NOT passed on to the consumer, but rather pocketed by TC. "They cut out the middle man", but use it to increase their profit margin.3) TC very well knows the sales price exceeds reasonable pricing - thus the salesman bolting out of the house when he couldn't "set the hook"4) While I cannot speak to the entire TC sales staff, I can state that they have at least one high pressure salesman that may be generating some unwanted advertisement for them. This salesman actions were an absolute insult.
