They were fine. The person who came out was a little under professional and under dressed. He was very good and showed us everything about the doors. The price was not as good as the other company we went with.

A representative from Thompson Creek came to our house to measure our gutters. He arrived late, and it was very nearly dark so he had to take the measurements in the dark with a flashlight. It took three full hours (!!) for him to make the measurements and give us a lengthy sales pitch. (We didn't really need the sales pitch because we liked the construction of their gutter covers -- that's why we asked them to bid). At the end, he presented us with a quote and some hard-sell tactics like offering $500 off if we sign the contract on the spot. Unfortunately for him, he was the first contractor we interviewed, so we had to decline the offer so we could talk to other bidders. At the end of the interview, we asked for references, and he refused to give any -- steering us instead to a survey web site with a bunch of anonymous reviews. The survey was undoubtedly paid for by them, so I don't place a lot of confidence in the results. We checked them out on the Better Business Bureau, and they had (at that time) 44 complaints filed against them in the last 36 months. All the complaints were resolved, so they got an "A" rating, but the fact that so many people had to seek third-party intervention to get their problems addressed was rather disturbing. This, coupled with the refusal to provide any references, told me to avoid them. Sad, because I liked their product, but hated the company behind it.

Installers were on time, knowledgable, friendly, resposible, and did great work.

The overall experience was excellent.

They were phenomenal! The biggest thing that is great about them is if you inquire online, they immediately respond.

We chose Thompson Creek Window Company because they are a local company, have a good reputation and we liked the double lifetime warranty. If a company is willing to fully guarantee their product while we own the home and for the next owners, they must be confident of the quality of the merchandise. We were very impressed with every employee with whom we had contact, from the young man delivering a Thompson Creek brochure at our door, the sales rep, the installers and and the inspector who came out twice that day to check on the progress of the work and to answer any questions we may have had. They were all friendly, courteous, professional and went out of their way to make sure we understood and were happy with everything. We were impressed with how efficiently the installers worked. We are extremely happy with our experience with Thompson Creek and highly recommend them. We now have great looking windows that are easy to use and are energy efficient.

We used them again because they are nice and friendly; they stay in touch to make sure you know as much as possible and the people who come out are really knowledgeable. Also, they don't put a lot of pressure on you which is great!

They have top notch companies they use. They do the measuring and installation but they don’t make the doors. The doors look great! We had an issue with the promotional discount not being applied to my bill the first time, played phone tag and waited several weeks to get paid back, but they made good in the end and they still did a good job on the doors!

I really like that the windows adjust so you can clean all your windows from the inside of your house. They are made exact to the specific dimensions of my windows. The salesman comes out first to measure for price, and then a second person came to measure and to get the window measurements for the custom dimensions. They were able to get them all completed in a days' time.

I went back to them because they did the first job and they make their own windows at their plant, they come with a good warranty, they also came with good recommendations. They are very good at what they do, they explain how the windows work, and I have no complaints about them. I’m very happy with their service.

The salesman was very prompt and professional. You could tell he had a "script" and he stuck to it. He did a good job selling/describing the Thompson Creek product and comparing it to competitors'. Again, the quote given to us was much, much higher than 2 other gutter companies, so declined. Would definitely go with them if their price was more competitive.

I called to get an estimate on 3 custom built 8 foot sliders. The young lady i spoke to at first was very nice. She was reading her script when she got to the point of both people must be home and i stopped her telling that it was offensive and discrimitory. That all we wanted was an estimate because we were going to call other companys for estimates as well so there was really no need for a very busy husband to be there. I also asked her to mark in big letters on my file that, that question never to be asked again. Then we scheduled the appt. I told her our house was a farm and gated and that the estimator would have to call to be let in. She then refered me to dispatch where we started to go through more questions apparently he looked up who owned the house which is not me or my husband but friends of ours who we have managed this house for them for over 8 years and that they do not live in the area or any where remotely close. I told him that we were doing this at their request and that we have done this for them this way for years. I told him that the owners would be the ultimate de icision makers based on our recommendations. He said he could not do that. I said ok and said good by. This troubled me so much i called back to talk to the owner or a manger on duty. When i spoke to Rick i told him the story he read his script on this matter. I then told him that I was so glad that business was going so well for them that they could throw what i was sure was some where between 5 to 7 thousand dollars out the door. He really said nothing and i said good buy...I hate it when i can't is the only answer..

We did not choose this contractor, so my review is based on sales/estimate only. Thompson Creek was one of five contractors we solicited to replace 8 windows in our townhouse. We called them based on a recommendation from our neighbor and general familiarity of the brand from radio and print ads, as well as overall positive reviews on AL. The sales person arrived an hour early. Odd, but not off-putting. He was very polite and professional, but a bit long-winded and heavy on the technical aspects of the windows. So much so that I was beginning to tune him out. The presentation was much more "showy" than any of the others--more props, the heat lamp gag, etc. To the reasons we decided against Thompson Creek: 1. Of the five companies we met with this was the only one to apply the pressure tactic (although to the sales person's credit, it was not delivered in a high-pressure manner) of "Buy today and receive a big discount, otherwise it will be full price." He lost me right there. 2. The other four companies were all comparably priced--differing by about $600 from the lowest to the highest (of the four); Thompson Creek was by far the most expensive. Their "buy today" special price was 50% higher than the rest. The quote we were given when we declined the same day discount was $5,200 more than what we paid our chosen contractor. I am open to the possibility that Thompson Creek windows really are just "that good." But nothing I saw in their product or service/warranty made them worth the price, plus the sales approach was an instant turn-off.

They came back extremely fast after the estimate. Everything started within two days. Employee did a great job of explaining the warranty for the gutters. They checked for lead contents since the house is older. They cleaned everything up really well. They did a very nice job. I was very pleased. They had a follow up to make sure everything was up to the clients standards. From the beginning to the end everyone I came in contact with was curteous.

They did a fantastic job. They have been absolutely great. The windows look wonderful. They guaranteed them for life and said if we ever got problem they would come out and clean them. They are professional. They didn't try to sell you something that wasn't worth it. I haven't had any problems with water damage or anything like that. I would definitely use them again.

Requested estimate for replacing windows and sliding glass doors. Decided to replace the patio sliding glass door alone as the glass had turned opaque on one side. Sales representative was thorough and demonstrated the quality of products offered vs those of competitors. Demonstrated lasted longer than we had expected...almost 2-1/2 hours. The crew arrived on time, worked expediently, even waited out a rain burst in order to complete the job. We are very pleased with the sliding glass door. It looks and functions much better than the original one that came with the home. Our home is now 19 years old.

They did a good job. I had a problem with one of the windows and he came right out to fix it. They were prompt on when they said they were going to be here. They were clean. The job went well.

Very well. Company emploees were very responsive. I was in a hurry, leaving Washington for several months, I wanted functional covered gutters for my house .We have tall trees around and in every storm the gutters are full of leaves and branches.. The company .did everything possible, did it not only fast but importantly :WELL. I am happy and can recommend this company very much.

I was so satisfied with the professionalism of the company. The crews that they sent out were phenomenal. The quality is great.

This was my first of 5 estimates as a result of going to the home show. Having replaced a stock front door (with no sidelights) at one time and seeing prices at Lowes, I was not prepared for the price. While Thompson Creek manufactures their own windows, they sell and install the ProVia line - the exact same door that every other respectable contractor offers. While all my other bids were around $4000 - $5000, Thompson Creek's bid was $7900. But if I acted in the next 30 days, they would knock $900 off. I'm sure their windows are unique, but to charge 50-70% more than the competition for the exact same product is nothing short of gouging the unsuspecting. Make sure you get multiple estimates before accepting an entry door bid from Thompson Creek.

Replaced an old gutter system with the 6" covered gutters made by Thompson Creek. Very pleased with the service and the product. Contact from office before, during and after the installation was helpful. No surprises and no problems.

It didn't "go" at all because I was turned off by the inital customer contact and subsequent sales pitch.

.They did an excellent job.They were very professional and we are very pleased with the windows. They are high quality window. They are gas windows. We are gonna get a new front door and would use the company again for future use. They are extremely thorough and check and double check everything.

Crew arrived exactly at time designated. Went to door area to survey site. No issues with area. Then went to delivery/install truck. Crew asked for an outlet to power saw. Crew then removed door from packaging to verify order. After confirmation of door, then began systematic removal of old door and prompty installed new door. Process was seamless. Crew did exceptional job of removing any screws/nails from removal of door. Cleaned install area and then seamlessly installed the new door.

Had a Saturday 9:00am appointment to get an estimate for replacing gutters and storm doors. Got a call saying the man giving an estimate would be 30 or 45 minutes late. That is inexcusable. I know I was his first appointment. I cancelled the appointment.
