They were very professional, agreeable, thoughtful. The people who actually did the installation work were very hard working, diligent, competent and good at solving problems that turned up, though the initial measurements and estimates covered pretty much everything. The company seems to have worked out very efficient ways of getting the materials on site, developing the products, etc. Definitely a great company.

I hired Thompson Creek (TC) to replace 20 windows and the front door of my home in 2003. They did a great job then and all their products come with a lifetime warranty. Several years later one of the windows ended up with a hairline crack and TC was out immediately to replace with no questions asked. In March 2013, I had TC install new gutters and had them cap the outside wood trimwork so that I would not have to paint again. TC did a great job, the house looks beautiful and, as with the windows, the gutters and capping come with a lifetime warranty. I will absolutely use TC again.

The sales and preparations went very well, as did most of the installation. The door is a top-of-the-line patio door. When the installation team got to the trim work around the new door they had installed, they seemed to tire of the job at hand. As a result, the trim work was sub-standard, as far as the caulking of nail holes and general fit and finish. I called the service department several days later and was told someone would be out to inspect. A representative of the company did come out to inspect the door and told me only that the trim work was shoddy and would be corrected. I was subsequently told that someone would come out to dig out the caulk and replace it with the proper caulk. I rejected this proposal and demanded new trim, but was told that this would take until sometime in June. Several miscommunications on the company's part subsequently occurred, but I thought that June 4th had been set as the date for installing new trim around the patio door. When the service technician arrived, he informed me that he was there to dig out the old caulk and put in new caulk. I told him to call his office as this was unacceptable. I subsequently spoke to someone in service and was assured that the new trim pieces were available following a search of the warehouse and that the same service technician would be back to install the new trim. The service technician spent several hours doing a great job on the trim. I thanked him for his work. I had hoped to use Thompson Creek to replace all of the windows in my home, but, based on this experience, I will never use Thompson Creek again. Earl Barkley

Terrific job Thompson Creek! Wow, I can't believe they replaced all 28 windows in our home all in one day. They arrived promptly at 8 a.m. and finished just before 5 p.m. Our homework was to make sure all window treatments were removed prior to the install. A site installer walked through the home making sure every room was ready; they even assisted us in moving furniture to have full access to the windows. I believe it was a crew of approximately 10 installers. They laid canvas runners throughout the whole home and under the windows. (I think Thompson Creek adjusted the size of the crew to ensure a one-day install -- a weather report said a deluge of rain was expected later in the day thru to the next day. I was so glad because as soon as they left the rains came. ) A project manager (Josh) visited the work site twice during the install to check progress and to coordinate with both the crew / homeowners that they had no problems and concerns. An installer pointed out that one window was not operating to spec so the project mgr personally left to retrieve a new part to ensure the job would not be held up. Josh also evaluated and resolved another window issue with the crew. The crew of installers were skilled, polite, and well mannered. Initially there seemed to be a total explosion of work but everyone knew where to go and what to do--it was all well coordinated. I was amazed as to all their skills and quality of work. They left the job site spotless. A special shout out to our salesman, Daniel Donovan, for making our purchase a pleasurable experience.

It was a great experience. They were very efficient; they cleaned up well, and did a great job. They had a great warranty on the windows. The price and quality was great.

The service was excellent. Everything was great, the scheduling was the only hassle as they would reschedule or cancel the appointments. They were slow on getting the windows but once they came into my home they did an excellent job.

The installation Team arrived on time and went to work immediately. The performed an initial site survey to ensure they had all the appropriate size windows required to complete the job and to determine the best order to remove and replace the existing windows. The existing windows were much more difficult to remove than they'd anticipated primarily due to the cheap contractor grade quality and age of the windows. Once they identified the best way for removal the job went along smoothly. They replaced 18 double-hung windows total in about 13 hours. They Team's attitude and work compatibility were excellent! They went beyond that which would normally be required to ensure each window fit snugly, was sealed properly and trimmed superbly. The job leader was there throughout the process and the overall supervisor stopped in around six hours into the job, surveyed the area and spoke with us to ensure things were going as we'd expected. We've already received a wide variety of compliments on the new windows. Though we weren't wild about spending the extra money it turned out to be well worth the cost in the end.

There was one foreman that I was able to talk to, and were a lot of people working at once. They took every window out at the same time, so I would be nervous to have the work done on a bad weather day. I was there to make sure that everything was done properly, and the new windows were set deep enough so that I could hang mini blinds. I did have to have the alarm company come out and move wires per their recommendation. On my requests to have Thompson Creek Window come out and fix little issues that the windows did have, they were very prompt in fixing them. They finished cleaning up the next day, as they worked into the dark. They were very professional, and took my criticisms well. I am not for sure if I was not there to make sure that everything was going smoothly, that I would not be as satisfied as I am now.

The whole experience with Thompson Creek from initial conversation to completion of the job was fantastic. Our salesman, Vin Nixon, was highly knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the different products Thompson Creek offered. He also worked with us on the price and we were so pleased we committed that same day. His window demonstration was especially entertaining. They promptly scheduled an appointment for measurements and the service date. The most impressive component of the experience was the three person crew that came out to install the windows and shutters, haul away the old materials, and cap the wood trim and bay window. Renaldo, Carlos, and Oscar worked the entire day without a break and still managed to leave us with a top notch product and left the inside of our house and property cleaner than they found it. I can't emphasize enough the level of professionalism these three exhibited during their work. We are extremely happy with the product and the whole experience and highly recommend Thompson Creek.

We had a cold-caller come at an opportune moment just when we were starting to plan a complete kitchen upgrade. He arranged for a representative to come and meet with us. The rep came as arranged (he was a few minutes late but called to let us know). His presentation was excellent, emphasizing that Thompson Creek only do one quality of windows. The samples and documentation he showed us were informative. We placed an order there and then. We are aware that Thompson Creek are not the cheapest but believe in paying for quality. The rep took the order, plus looked at our outside trim, which is wrapped, and we chose a similar color from his samples. He arranged for the tech to come and measure and also provided us with a name and number for a direct contact who would co-ordinate everything. The tech came and measured (arriving on time). He also compared the color sample in daylight and we could see it was not very close. The direct contact then managed to determine the old wrap was no longer made, so another rep came out with a more extensive array of samples and we chose a much better match. The installers came as arranged about six weeks after the initial order was placed (these are not off-the-shelf items but are made to order). They were very efficient, completed the install and replaced the wrap. We are very pleased with the results - our central air is certainly working more efficiently as the old windows were very draughty. Excellent work and service from all the people we came in contact with and we cannot fault the windows in any way.

They want to give you a 90 minute presentation. Their products are really top notch and very well engineered. I was quite impressed. With that engineering also comes a price though. The sales man was a bit "pushy" and expect to be presented with a 15% off if you sign RIGHT NOW! AND ONLY RIGHT NOW! offer to pressure you into a deal. I didn't like that at all. All I wanted was information and maybe get hands on the product. We told the sales man, "Your product is very impressive and for the price you are offering, it's quite nice. However, it is something we would put on our 'HOUSE' and not our 'TOWN HOUSE.'" He didn't understand that and we actually had to be a bit pushy to get him to leave. It was still an ok experience, but not sure if I will call them again.

We were very impressed with the design and quality craftsmanship of the gutter system, but it was more expensive than we expected after shopping around. The sales presentation was informative and discounts were offered for an on-the-spot decision and deposit. Workmen arrived on time and quality of installation was very good. A supervisor arrived as the work was nearing completion and we walked around the house inspecting the workmanship. A minor change in one downspout was made on the spot which resulted in improved rainwater runoff.

They were great. The service went very well. At first they left a gap in an area where they installed the gutters but they came back and fixed it so it would not be a problem. I would recommend them and I would use them again.

Bill Whitcher was great! He promised everything would be done right and he measured each window and had us in contact with the production people. It looked like everything was going to be perfect. The contract stated the estimated install date would be on or before October 1, 2011. The second appt. where they were to come measure our windows had to be postponed due to Thompson Creek calling to say 3 days prior they would not be able to come due to Hurricane Irene. I understood that and they rescheduled for 2 weeks later. After this estimator left we did not hear back from Thompson Creek until we called to see what the install date would be. Kip Canavan said it would be mid November, a month and a half past the initial date given. We told him that we needed them before then and he said he would try and would get back to us. We did not hear from him for over a week and I called back and he said they could not do it any sooner as they had to get the impact resistant and frosted glass from a different vendor and it would take longer. I told him I thought Thompson Creek did all of their manufacturing locally and that impact and frosted glass was a pretty common item. I called him back a week later as I had not heard from him and told him that if Thompson Creek could not install the windows by the first week of November then I was canceling my order. After I stated that he called me later that day and said he really "pushed" production to get it but it looked like they would be able to meet that date of November 5th. He told me he would call me the day before to confirm. By the afternoon of the day before I had not heard from him so I called and was told Kip no longer worked at Thompson Creek - would I like to speak to the person who took over his accounts. Sure! I said. She told me everything was on schedule for the next day. The crew showed up the next morning exactly on time and they were extremely professional. The foreman, I cannot remember his name, was amazing. They worked diligently and cleanly and had everything done and cleaned by 5pm. 29 windows! The crew was great! When we went around to inspect the job, we noticed that the outside headers/top plate/facia on all the windows were not there. They had been previously covered with vinyl and now the rusted plates were showing. We mentioned this to the foreman and he said to call the Quality Assurance guy. We called him and he said that Thompson Creek does not cover those and that we could just paint them. I was appalled that I just paid all this money for maintenance free windows and now I have to go and scrape the headers and paint them every year or so. He told me to call the main office which I did on Monday and they said they would be out the first week of December to fix them. No one came out and I was told on the phone that these were not covered by Thompson Creek. I had been told at the initial consult that they would. Why were they taken off then? If I had know they would not be put back on then I would not have let them be taken off. I chalked this up to experience all the while realizing this was not right. Last summer, we had a crazy rain and I noticed the back of my couch was soaking wet. One of the new Thompson Creek windows was allowing water to seep in from the top where the headers/top plate/facia was. Quite interesting that 63 years and no leaking from the old windows, but the new ones did. I called and left a message with Thompson Creek immediately since no one answered. They called back later that week and gave me the same story about the headers not being covered. It is now May 2013 and I am noticing the inside wood moulding at the top of my Thompson Creek dining room window is wet and "crunchy" from water coming in. It has taken me a year and a half to write this review as I wanted to make sure that I was not writing from emotion. After continually looking at the rusted headers/top plate/facias and seeing the water damage to 2 of my windows, I can safely post this awful review. After posting this review, I received numerous calls and emails from Thompson Creek wanting to make it better. I talked with Trisha Evans at Thompson Creek. She was very pleasant and had a crew out Saturday morning to cap all of the headers/top plate/facias. All were done in a couple of hours and the result looks great. They asked to see the damage in the house and I showed them. They wanted to fix the moulding where the water came in but I am redoing the interior moulding this summer and will take care of that myself. I really appreciate the work that was done this weekend and will look forward to the next heavy rain to make sure the leaks do not return. Exceeded my expectations? What does that mean Thompson Creek? I would say, after all we went through with Thompson Creek, you barely met them.

They were very professional and got the work completed in a day. I am very satisfied.

I found them very good. They came out and told us what they were going to do and how they are going to do it. They had an example of their work and they talked about their work. I am very happy with it. The quality of their work was very good.

I had to keep going to the company before they actually started on the job and had to revisit when they were finished which I thought, was inconvenient. I felt they did a good job even though they had to make some revisions on the gutter so that the water would run away from the property. However they did make the adjustment and the work turned out good.

A representative came to the house and after taking measurements, he explained their product in full detail. We had the gutters replaced on the front and back of the house, plus the front and back of the garage. The men arrived on time, were courteous, cleaned up and did an excellent job of installing the gutters. All in all, it was a very good experience. Will certainly use the services of the company again in the future.

We have been replacing our windows in phases; as we pay off one phase, we begin another. During the first phase, Thompson Creek replaced 10 of our 23 windows, and promised to provide the same pricing for any additional windows we purchased. After paying off our first phase, we contacted Thompson Creek for an estimate on phase two. True to their word, pricing was exactly the same! The sales rep that visited was friendly and professional. The final measurement for our new windows was done less than a week later, and our final delivery/install date was set at that time (less than six weeks later). Our install team was wonderful and they did an outstanding job. The new windows look great. We can't wait to replace the rest. This is our second experience with Thompson Creek, and both have been great. We highly recommend them to anyone thinking of buying replacement windows.

The team arrived on time, worked hard all day long (those old aluminum frames were *hard* to get out), and finished up nearly 12 hours later. The team that came was very professional, courteous, and expert in their work. For most of the day, three people worked on the task, and the regional supervisor stopped in to check in on progress during the day. They worked systematically, were careful not to damage paint or wood, and did a great job installing the replacement windows. This was the hottest April 10 in history, and the team managed to job even though the temperature rose to over 90 degrees. The installers then cleaned up and removed all the old materials, leaving the place as clean as when they arrived. We had already moved the furniture away from the windows, and we took down the blinds when they arrived (they told us that they were not permitted to do any such work); they were careful about removing the blind supports so that I could reinstall them. All in all, a fine job. We're really happy with the new windows.

The overall experience was great. We went with them based on our previous experience having our windows replaced. They have good quality products, are very responsive and accommodating, and I've had no negative issues with either the gutter or window installations. I would say that they seem to follow the industry standard pitch and mark up scheme. Expect an hour on first visit even if you are interested in buying. Also recommend waiting for advertised specials or sales. We seemed to get the best price ordering late int he year. Other than those minor quibbles I would definitely use them again, they are local and customer service focused.

We thought that the quality of the windows was fine and were very happy that they were locally made. We went with another company because we did not think the high pressure sales tactics were a good fit for our family. Before we got estimates, Thompson Creek was our first choice because friends had had good experiences with them, so they were first on our list to get an estimate from. But because of putting them first - it was set up that if we did not sign a contract then and there while the salesman was on site, the price would go up $2000. We were told by the salesman that there was absolutely no flex8ibility in this. It seemed very high pressure when it did not need to be - since we were inclined to go with Thompson Creek any way. I called the manager and it turns out there was flexibility in the $2000 price increase and he arranged an extension of several days so we could actually research our options. We also were turned off by the insistance that both the husband and wife be home for the meeting. I felt like that was a throwback to the 1950s when the lady of the house could not be counted on to make any critical decisions. We ended up going with a company whose bid was slightly higher, but which had the attiture: "here's our price, shop around, and come back if it works for you." AND, they were willing to meet with me alone without disrupting my husband;s work schedule - I met with them and signed all the contacts just by myself, without my husband;s approval and it went just fine. I thought it was very respectful of the customer's time. So - overall quality seemed fine - but personaity wise, our family was not a good fit for the sales tactics and "husband must be home" policy.
