Thompson Creek Window Company

We had a great experience with Thompson Creek. We needed external French doors replaced. They took measurements and ordered it. Due to supply issues, it took 6 months to arrive. After installation, without our having yet evaluated it, the installation team decided that their measurements had not been taken correctly. The door actually worked fine, but the sill was below the level of the floor, so their was a potential for water leaking in. They ordered a new door (which took another 6 months) and it was perfect when installed. I was impressed by the level of professionalism and courtesy of everyone involved, and the beautiful quality of the door. It wasn’t cheap, but it was worth it!

Excellent design and workmanship. TC was very responsive to our need for a larger 2-panel sliding door to replace the outmoded and too narrow 3-panel Door we had.

All of the workers were professional. They worked until the job was completed. I would use thompson Creek again.

They re-scheduled the installation (October 21) but failed to notify us. So no one came on the scheduled date. We had to call them and reschedule. When we rescheduled and they finished they left many nails around the outside of the house. The gutter is not level/correct at the front of the house. One person came (in November)and agreed it needed adjusted but no one has ever come to adjust/repair it. We received a call in January after leaving them an unsatisfactory review. They again scheduled someone to come to our property to look at the crooked gutter but no one has called or come. It is impossible to contact them, the caller leaves a voice message on your phone, you return their call which always results in leaving them a voicemail. You wait for them to return your call but they don't. So, we still have a crooked gutter in the front of our house. And evidently they don't care.

Their customer service was terrible.

Not sure, as it has NOT happened yet. Ordered interior door in August 2021. In October, they came out and said, "Oops, looks like the wrong door got ordered." Service was rescheduled for March 2022. On the day that they were supposed to come I was called and they told me how sorry they were, but the wrong door was ordered AGAIN. Apparently, they did NOT discover that until the day they were supposed to come? What nonsense. I can't get my deposit back because of some protection clause. (Obviously just for them????)

After spending upwards of $90k with this company for whole house siding and window replacement, we contracted them to add two windows during our renovation. They installed the windows, but neglected to install the proper trim and caulk which would match their previously completed work. Although it was included in the quote, they have yet to rectify the situation. Their customer service is abysmal - avoid this company!

The experience with Thompson Creek was nothing but positive! The salesman took the time necessary to give us thorough information even though our appointment was later in the evening. Once we set up for the installation, we had to reschedule a couple of times and they were always accommodating to our schedule… we even were able to get our installation on a Sunday which worked best for us. The installers were very professional. The first thing they did was cover our floors throughout the house so they would not track mud in since it had been rainy prior to them coming. They worked quickly and didn’t even take a lunch break. They left the house very clean and you couldn't even tell they had been here. Everyone we spoke to in the company was very friendly and helpful! I highly recommend Thompson Creek if you are considering work being performed on your house.

I had been putting off replacing an original sliding door in our home for a long time. Since we never had a deck, we never had a need to use that door therefore no point in replacing it. This year we had a new deck built and decided it was finally time to replace that original sliding door. I was referred to Thompson Creek by friends and co-workers. They were great to work with. They did not pressure us to buy now. They presented their offer, came out to take measurements and came out when they promised to perform the installation. We couldn't be happier with our new door. After a week of having our new door installed we also noticed that we are not heating the house as much as we used to - which saves us money! Thank you Thompson Creek!

The job was complete but right from the very beginning I had misinformation. The salesman sold me something that cannot be done, in terms of the coloring I wanted. I was informed of this when the measurement people came. Windows were installed no problem. No issues with that team at all. They were excellent. I do have concerns with some of the siding work. My original PM complete disappeared on me. Never returned an email or a voicemail. A send PM came out and agreed it was an issue and should be fixed. Great, I thought things were moving in the right direction. Now two months later and many many phone calls, again nonresponsive. So, my issues remain, and I am not at all confident that Thompson Creek will make it right. Definitely not worth the hassle!

The actual installation 12 years ago was great but now the window is sinking and I cannot get anyone to come out and service it. I just get placed on hold for hours without hope for a call back.

We have used Thompson Creek several times over the years. We have had new windows, new siding glass doors and new front door with a storm door @nd a new side door. They are professional and always clean up. The office kept us up to date as to when they would be doing the install. Very happy

Beware!! Horrible company with substandard products, the worst customer service, and zero integrity! Had 20 windows that were over 20 years old replaced on my house and they are worse then my old ones! Rattle at the slightest breeze, let all sound in, and have the internal insulation coming out inside the window pains. On top of that the drywall surround them is starting to crack from the vibrations. After multiple calls over a month a project manager finally came out and determined they were faulty windows that needed to be replaced, he stated a work order would be put in and “Sam” the new coordinator would call back in two days. After two weeks of no call, I called Thompson Creek and was told “Sam no longer works here and we can not see her old e-mails and will have to get back with you. After two more weeks of no calls I called back the main number and left multiple messages for Ryan who took our account over again, just to get no reply. Finally I had my attorney send a demand letter for a full refund and was contacted by “Angela” who staid company wanted to work with us. My attorney and I each left over 5 voicemails and emails in a two week period with no return. Services

I contacted numerous window companies to have my original windows (1979) replaced. Thompson Creek was not the least expensive but their product was better than most. Because they make their own windows it takes longer to have them installed (about 2 Months). When the install day came. The lead boss showed up early and taped plastic up all over the house to help with dust and dirt. She vacuumed when she was done and my house was probably cleaner after she left. I have not had any issues with the windows and my house seems warmer.

The installation was extremely professional. The crew arrived on time and finished in two hours. They were very friendly and covered both the floor and the furniture in the living room. Their work demonstrated their understanding of both the product and how to do the installation. I would gladly hire them when I need window replacements.

My name ARHart and live in Oxon Hill, Md I contracted with Robert Martin of Thompson Creek Window company Apr 23, 2021 for 9 windows ($10,000). Three (3) of the windows where floor to ceiling picture windows, which I had requested to be square pane windows. Mr. Martin showed me pictures of what the Square window panes would look like (finished product). Apparently, this did not translated to the signed contract. So I ended up with Rectangular (PANES) instead of the desired Square Paner, which Thompson Creek Promised.

Door installed on 04/30/21 and the installers cut Nest doorbell and chime wires. They covered up the wires with wood and PVC. My Nest camera went offline after the cut and was captured on video. I asked TC to send installers back to remove wood and have an electrician fix the wires. Their response was we don't do that. I had an electrician come to re-wire the doorbell and install a chime that would hold a transformer. Cost me $605.00 but would have cost $850.00 to re-wire down to the basement to use the existing transformer plus more holes in drywall. TC would only pay $400.00 because they wouldn't compensate for the chime box which cost $15.99 not the 205.00 that they wouldn't pay. Good product but terrible customer service.

We had an issue that had to do with construction of our house, so doors put in by TC never quite fit correctly, meaning the weather stripping rubbed and broke with normal use. TC addressed the opening flaw and rehung doors so they fit correctly. Marlin and his colleague did a FIRST RATE job, punctually, cleanly, and professionally for very meticulous client (us). Several years ago TC replaced a cathedral window that required custom fitting and was done, as was the door, with impeccable care. They are a responsive, above average company to work with and we'd recommend them highly if you have high expectations for product and work done!

WOW! STAY AWAY!! After calling to try to schedule an appointment for an investment property that my family owns, I was informed that they would not come out to quote because the owner of record (as listed on the deed) lives out of state. Since my mom lives out of state and 1,000 miles away, it's obviously impossible for her to be there. What's also obvious is that this company wants to close the deal THAT day and not just bid the job. Having been in sales for over 30 years, I have NEVER sold my products this way by being aggressive! What kind of fools does this company model their business towards that they think that an educated buyer wouldn't get multiple estimates? I asked to speak with a supervisor about these very unprofessional business practices but she almost robotically just reiterated their company policy of requiring all owners of record to be at the meeting with the estimator. If their products and services are so great, why would they need to be so pushy? I would NEVER do business with an company that does business this way and I advise others to STAY WAY!!!!!

They're wonderful! They took care of the windows, it was an easy process, and they cleaned up after themselves.

Well their product looked decent, but I'll never know. I signed the paperwork for new gutters and paid over 1k down on the 18th of June and now on the 1st of July they tell me they are canceling my project because they under quoted me by more than 1k... It's embarrassing really that they don't stand by their quotes. There was no new info that caused the price to change they just priced it wrong from the beginning. The other sad thing is, if you as the customer want to get out of a contract you have 5 days or you're screwed, but they have up to 30. Unfortunately I don't think I'll ever hire them or reference them to anyone. Another sad thing is they take your money in a second, but they have 3-5 business days to get it back to you. Personnel who I met in person seemed nice, but again it is very disappointing.
