It was great! They were there on time and were done quickly. They also cleaned up everything when they were done.

Very professional on all levels of the project. From the initial sales call to the final cleanup.

Great! This was the 4th time we used Thompson Creek (first we had all of our main level windows replaced, then we had a storm door installed on our front door, then we had our kitchen door replaced with a new door plus storm door). Thompson Creek personnel are extremely competent, knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Their products and their work are top-notch. Windows and doors are expensive no matter where you buy them but it is absolutely worth paying Thompson Creek (slightly more expensive than a big box store) because the quality and service are amazing and everything is custom.

Again they have it down to a science and what I love is the fact that they will come out and fix things if they have a problem. Thursday I have an appointment for them to come out since my door is sticking. They have a lifetime guarantee so if there are problems, that's what we paid for.

They are very efficient, come out do the job and get it done. They do not dilly dally around, they have it down to a science.

Basically its sales pitch city. The guy is going to come into your home and show you "their" window in comparison to the "competitions". Then your going to get slammed with the most outrageous window quote you have ever seen in your life. There is a reason why they have to charge so much, and that's to pay their advertising costs. I believe their quote for 10 windows and 1 sliding glass door was approximately $22,000, then the salesman offered me their "memorial day window sale of 25% off" to bring it down to approximately $17,000. Either way its completely overpriced. Do yourself a favor and just call Window Universe, they aren't going to give you an insane sales pitch, the guy is just going to come and measure and then he is going to low ball every other offer out there to which case your just going to want to sign. Thompson Creek = pure and unadulterated robbery. If they existed in any other market besides NOVA they would have gone out of business years ago. They literally prey on people that are ignorant, get pushed into deals (See their aggressive sales pitch above), or are loaded and could care less. Do not be fooled by them.

On both occasions the work was well done with great service and attention to detail. They followed up to make sure I was satisfied with the work done.

They were excellent. On time for all appointments and gave the best price for the window replacement. They returned promptly when I called them about a leak that turned out not to be their responsibility (was a leak in the siding that had just been replaced by another company). The windows are beautiful and have held up perfectly.

They had the highest price of 6 quotes and they had the hardest 'sell'. They offered a 'discount' if we agreed to buy that day, but their quote was already higher than everyone elses'. They would also only offer to give a quote if both husband/wife were in the house for the quote. After turning them down, they did the 'what would it take to buy from us' routine and they knocked off another 25%, and this went another round...at the end they were 20% higher than most, but by then we were tired of their game. Why not just offer a fair and solid price rather than having to drop 30%+ from their original quote? They also bashed other companies without really knowing the quality of their replacement windows. Okna, Silverton are all decent replacement names and we ultimately went with a company which offered those windows.

I would not suggest Thompson Creek to anyone based on our experience with them. We engaged them to replace a failing door and they promised a quick turn around (about a month) they failed to deliver on. It took them about 9 months (07/15/15 - 04/05/15) to install and resolve all the issues caused during this process and it was one of the most arduous experiences I've had as a home owner. We have pages of notes and saved emails, but in short we had the following issues with them: -Unable to provide the product(s) original agreed upon, basically felt like a "bait and switch". -Unable to meet the timelines first agreed upon during the sale, and then reaffirmed with the first site visit. -Frequent broken promises. We had to limit all our interactions to email with them, because site managers would "promise" a fix, a timeline or a resolution and the Contract managers would have "No record of that" -Slow and often long periods between communications, we had to chase them down after signing the contact to get movement. -Frequent No-Shows (No call or email to notify us) -Frequent delays during the process due to damaged product, staffing problems or failure to communicate internally. -Lack of internal communication. The sales people don't talk to the installers, disconnects between site workers and contract managers. -Poorly skilled or trained subcontractors (Frequently did a below standard job requiring more than a dozen follow up visits to resolve issues). -Workers clearly rushed and ignore concerns during the install(s). multiple photos available showing the sloppy work. -Inability or lack of desire for the Onsite workers to follow the designs / plans provided by the Leads, and a during the initial failed install a complete refusal to match the existing design. -Follow up communications sporadic and less than pleasant. -Damaged Product repeatably brought to site. -Screen Failed within 2 days. -Doorknob came off after a couple months. In the end after they had resolved all the outstanding issues and cleaned up the calking from the front of our house I requested a final invoice detailing the work and what was done, which we had not received.. Today Lawyers claiming to represent the company contacted me about our failure to respond or meet our outstanding Obligation to Thompson Creek. I let him know we were still waiting an invoice from Thompson Creek and was told "They had exhausted all avenues of communication" with us, but he refused to provide any of those claimed correspondences and payment was required immediately to avoid litigation... Further highlighting Thompson Creeks poor handling of our whole experience with them. Not a single email, call or letter from the company since May, they would rather hire a lawyer than send us an invoice. Again, this is the "short" version... Solid F.

The estimate from Thompson Creek was $11,000 higher than the next highest estimate I received for the exact same services. The other companies I received estimates from were rated higher for customer satisfaction as well.

First let me say that the windows are great, install crew was phenomenal. The office support staff was indescribably horrible. The company had to cancel my initial install date due to an mistake on their part. This caused me a great inconvenience. The company didn't seem to care. I was brushed off and told they were just worried about getting the install done. I waited 5 weeks after the install and never heard from the company to check on how things went. Thompson Creek only cares about your money. Once they have it they no longer care about you as a customer. Buyer Beware with this company!!!!!!!!!

Jimmy and Tim showed up in time, finished in time, documented their work, and made sure I was satisfied be departing.

Sellers personable and friendly, and were knowledgeable and could answer questions. Office staff consistently answers the phone and addresses your needs when you call. Quality of the doors and workmanship in installation is excellent which justifies the high cost. Minor issues with delivery of the gutters which did not impact the schedule of installation. Company went out of the way to complete the job on schedule even though the weather did not cooperate with the schedule. All in all a very positive experience!

I don't care if this company does the best work in the world, I still wouldn't hire them because of their annoying door to door salesmen. Yesterday I was working downstairs when I heard someone obnoxiously knocking, then ringing the doorbell, knocking, then ringing the doorbell over and over again. It was one of those knocks that only a solicitor would use because of the stupid cutesy pattern. So I thought, "I bet it's those windows people again." Sure enough, it was. At least twice a year this company comes into my neighborhood, ignoring the no solicitation sign on the way in, loudly banging on my door day and night then blah-blah-blah'ing me with how I need new windows because of this and that and they did this for this neighbor and that neighbor... I say no thanks and they keep on talking. One time we had a newborn asleep and the guy still kept loud talking with total disregard. It takes like 10 no's and scolding them like a child for these guys to go away. So obnoxious! Sorry guys! I'll stick to companies that don't pester me with high pressure salesmen who time an time again disregard our HOAs no solicitation policy.

Today I was scheduled to have my 5 midlevel windows installed. They called me 1hr earlier to notify me that their crew was running behind due to unexpected delay on an earlier job. It was fine with me as I dedicated this day specifically for this project. Around 1pm a gentleman--quality control-- showed up and although I was unable to talk to him as I was away from the front door I could hear him asking the contractor if his guys showed up yet. Then he left when my contractor informed him that they were running late and the homeowner was aware. The two gentlemen came around 3pm and went straight to work. Around 6:15pm they were completed; I asked one of the guys who spoke a good english to walk through my new windows; upon our quick inspection I was completely shocked to see that this company actually installed a refurbished/used window. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and the guy himself was speechless and stated that he didn't look into details as his job was to install what he was provided; he suggested to call the company which I did in his presence but since it was after-hours I was unable to speak to someone. They were all scratched and dented and in one of them you could actually see that someone tried to fix the cracks. I was very upset and furious. I would never expect such a gross negligence from such a big company. i was also upset because I am a return customer and never questioned the products they delivered especially the ones that I am unable to have a direct access such as gutters. Even then when I pointed out a problem they stated that the problem was the soffit and not the gutters. But now I question their honesty. I did email the coordinator demanding to have them removed and refund my money. I also requested to speak with upper management so that they can look at it themselves. I felt insulted as none of the windows are new.

They fast efficient and cleaned up their mess after. They give a life time warranty with their products and will come out and honor that.

Our initial contact was made at the recent Home/Garden show at Dulles Expo. Set an appt date/time there. Received a follow up call verifying appt. Factory Rep was on time and very professional. Unfortunately we were presented with the same sales pitch used by Renewal by Anderson, Window Nation and similar to Pella. BUY TODAY and we'll give you an amazing price. Our "buy it now" price was: 24K....our "buy it this month" price was $26K and our "buy it anytime this year" price was $34K. There was no explanation how these prices were determined. No itemized accounting of the cost of various window sizes and then showing the discount from the show to actually give us an idea where the pricing came from. When it's presented this way all the buyer can assume is that it's some mystical formula. After getting two more quotes for vinyl windows (where we have an actual accounting of the cost of the window + grid + screens) we have decided not to use this company. Their "buy it today" price was double what our next two bids came in at.

Do not contact this company unless you are 100% certain you want to use them. I just wanted more information on pricing, so I submitted a form on their site, and they respond to that with a barrage of phone calls and voicemails. Leaving multiple voicemails is an offensive practice that only the most aggressive sales organizations do. After a week of this, I finally had the chance to answer one of their calls and explained that I was not interested and to not call me back. I was going to leave it at that, but fast forward to today, about a month after the last contact occurred, and I receive a call from a Thompson Creek sales person on Sunday morning. A Sunday morning sales call is the straw that broke the camel's back for me to write this review. This company has little respect for peoples' time and only cares about their top line growth. To clarify, I am not saying to not use them for the windows they provide and install, as I did not buy any. This review is purely to advise on the risk of providing them your contact information.

It was a rainy day when they were working on it and they left mud on my shutters and it took them a couple times to come back to get that mud removed.

There was stuff that I wasn't going to do. Stuff like changing the siding on the outside of the house, new gutters and new windows that is beyond my capabilities. Thompson did our siding, our gutters and all of our windows. They basically redid the whole outside of our house. Their materials were the highest grade. Their people made one mistake which I noticed as they were putting the new siding on the house. I called them up and they had a principal out here within an hour. They took everything down which they had put up. In our bid we had insulation backed siding and a 3/8 inch layer of foam insulation below that on the outside of the house. This is an old house. They had put it up with just the vinyl siding without the extra insulation. They had the whole front of the house done before I walked out and said no. So, they took every bit of it down and put it back up without any damage to the siding. Anybody can make a mistake. How they handled it, they didn't handle it to save themselves money. They handled it to give me the job they promised me without a question. Their caulking, their clean up, their speed of action was good. We were very lucky.

Product is good, installation was sloppy and ended up with misaligned windows in Sun room.

Everything was great!!! They had the best price and the service was just the best ever. They were punctual, very professional and very pleasant to deal with. I will use them again in the future. Thx

I cant say enough good things about them. They came on time, cleaned up after themselves. I will definitely hire them again if I need windows replaced!

Company uses high pressure sales tactics and the product demo will take at least?2 hours of your time. That being said, I found their representative to be very courteous and professional and the company was very responsive to our request to get someone out quickly.?The "final" negotiated?price was comparable to price quotes that I received from some other companies, but I prefer dealing with companies that allow me to take my time to consider multiple bids for large projects.
