Description of Work: Thompson Creek's entire team from initial contact, which I initiated, through product/services representative, site measurements engineer, contract arrangement, scheduling, installation team, and inspection was very professional. The cost is higher than most competitors, but it is unclear that competitor products and services are really comparable. The ultimate value of the Thompson Creek windows may be proven over time and the two-owner life-time warranty and replacement provisions. I will definitely do business with Thompson Creek again if it does not become so large that it cannot maintain its current high standards of quality and services.

Description of Work: Replaced front door, put in bay window, replaced bathroom window. work was done in 2007. very pleased had one problem and they came out immediately and corrected.

Description of Work: We have a bedroom window which had been replaced by the original installer, and also serviced by the original installer several times, but still leaked around the frame during rain storms, and was actually getting worse (like, getting up in the middle of the night to apply towels around the frame because you could hear the water running down the wall). So, we called several window companies to get some input and estimates on replacement. Thompson Creek was the only company to respond positively - my guess is because these companies would prefer that you deal with the original installer. However we were willing to pay for a new window since it appeared that the original company, for whatever reason, could not correct the problem. So, Brian Mularkey came out to the house and showed us windows, prices, etc. He was very enthusiastic and very professional. Somehow we got on the conversation of entry doors, which we were going to have to replace anyway since the frame and door were in poor shape. The price he quoted for both the window and door was very close to the estimate of a single door install provided by a separate company! So, I was sold and we had both items done. My husband stayed home for the install of the door and window and reported that the workers showed up on time and completed everything in a timely manner, along with cleaning up and carrying away the old items. We also asked Brian to come out one more time so that we could order a storm door, which was installed later in the month. And, I am happy to report that since the spring and summer rain storms have come through, there hasn't been a single window frame leak!

Description of Work: Thompson Creek replaced the eve trough along the back of our house (approximately 45') with a clog resistant style trough. They arrived as scheduled, did a neat and efficient job, cleaned up thoroughly, were responsive and polite throughout.

Description of Work: Thompson Creek replaced all of our windows (~20) that were more than 30 years old. Overall, I am happy with their work. However, I have some queasy feeling about their work done on some of the frames that were partially rot. My expectation was that Thompson Creek would fix the rotting wood frames before installing windows. But they stuffed foams in the rotten area and covered the frames with aluminum casing. I am not sure whether or not this is a standard practice for window replacement work. Since the work is warranted for the life of the house, I did not file any complaints at that time. So I had been hesitant in endorsing their work wholeheartedly.

Description of Work: We thought that a thousand dollars a window for five windows was way too high. Also, because the house is very old we were concerned about how the windows would be installed. However, they would not explain how they were going to install the windows until we signed a contract!

Only hiccup was that the scheduled appointment was delayed one day due to the installer calling in sick, and since we had already moved furniture away from windows, we ended up having to do that twice. They also were nice about removing our two window air conditioning units for us (we bought new ones and did have to reinstall them ourselves). The windows look great and they did not mess up our painted trim work at all.

Description of Work: They were running a special on windows which I thought was very reasonable. The sales person was quick and prompt, but unfortunately I wasn't able to finance the windows.

The install went very well, they made a mistake while installing the front door which damaged the door. A new one was ordered and replaced at no cost to me. Follow-up service has been timely and excellent. Great company to work with. The product is well worth the money.

Company personnel were very prompt and profession in assessing the situation, decided to replace it, and installed the new window in a timely manner.

Description of Work: The amazing thing was, I thought I need some flashing, so I called for an estimate. Once he arrived and we discussed the job, he showed me why I don't need the flashing I thought I needed. He lost business and saved me money. I respect that in any company and thought it was worth a review.

Description of Work: We received an estimate for gutter and soffit work. Very professional and detailed presentation. The materials looked to be of excellent quality. However I only give them a B rating because after spending two hours in the estimation process, the discounted price offered had to be decided upon right then and there. It was about $10,000 worth of work. We asked if we could sleep on it, but the answer was no. We asked if the estimator could come back the next day to sign the agreement, he said no | It had to be done right then and there. We did not like the pressure. So we didn't use them.

Description of Work: My experience with Thompson Creek Windows actually started in the latter part of December 2013! Salesman came to the house and we discussed the possibility of replacing 11 old wooded windows that were letting air all over the house! I knew I was eventually going to have to do something! I examined a sample of the product and looked at the numerous awards that they had received and decided to go with them! The salesman was able to give a price that would be goo for one year! Giving me enough time to plan! I read reviews on other sites that said that Thompson Creek was high pressure sales and too expensive! I did not find the high pressure sales to be true in my case! I had a total of three different crews at various times to complete my project. One crew I had twice: Jay and CK. They went out of their way to make sure that I understand everything they were doing and told me to ask questions anytime I had them! | |I must admit this has been a great experience for start to end and the customer service has always been responsive! | |I would not hesitate to recommended Thompson Creek to family, friends and neighbors! | |I forgot to mention the double life warranty! This can be passed on to future home buyer should you sell your home! No strings attached!!
