Description of Work: Installed French Doors onto the raised deck and installed a new front entry door with side lights. On time arrival. Stayed until I was 100% satisfied with the job. Very courteous and extremely professional. They explained everything that they were going to do and answered all of my questions. If they couldn't answer one they called someone who could. I intend to replace my 18 year old Alside windows with new Thompson Creek windows next year.

Description of Work: I don't recall the exact price, but we needed new gutters & downspouts for the whole house & separate garage, originally built in 1978 and using the old narrow gutters/downspouts. We live in a heavily wooded area so decided to get a gutter cover system as well, and shopped around carefully. We got a good deal for doing both house & garage, about = to two houses of medium size.

Description of Work: My experience with Thompson Creek Window Company began in February of 2014! I live in a townhouse which was built in 1991! I had started to notice that I was getting a lot of draft from my windows and some of them were difficult to open and clean! I contacted Thompson Creek to set up an appointment for an estimate. An estimator came to my house and discussed their product and the advantages and energy savings! I decided to replace all 11 of my windows! Thompson Creek may not be the cheapest gang in town but I was looking for quality and innovation! |On the day of installation, the crew arrived on time, took a look at the job and began setting up! They were careful to lay down tarps to protect my carpet and hardwood floors! The job was completed in one day! The crew cleaned up and explained everything they were doing during the installation! |I have two sliding glass doors. One opens to my deck and the other in the lower level walkout! Needless to say these doors had a lot of draft! In the winter I had to place items that are made to block draft! I was so impressed with my window installation that I called for an estimate to replace my doors! I caught them during a sales event! An estimator came out to provide with an estimate and later a person came to measure the doors! This job went very well and was completed in a few hours! No more drafts and the ease in which the doors operated! I had a choice of hardware so I chose brushed nickel handles. By the way the doors came with keys that enable you to open them from the outside and lock them! Thompson Creek products come with a lifetime warranty which is transferable to new owners should you decide to sell your home! |Once I had a small problem with one of my windows! I know I was doing something wrong! I called customer service to explain my problem. The young lady on the phone gave me two options; I could either have her walk me through the problem over the phone(if I felt comfortable, or she would send a technician out to see me. I choose the technician route! An appointment was set. The day of the appointment the technician arrived as scheduled and asked me to show him the window. We went to the window and he fixed very quickly! He then began to give a demonstration on using the windows and said he would stay until I was comfortable with the operation! I must say that I have read some negative responses which was never my experience, but one thing I have learned over the years is that when you are nice and patient you tend to have less problems! I worked 10 years in retail and had one of the largest customer base because of my philosophy! |I would highly recommended Thompson Creek to all of my family, friends and neighbors! |This is my humble opinion! | |

Description of Work: They replaced 3 windows in the master bedroom that were rattling whenever the wind blew AND were letting air pass through. (We should have had them replace at least 1 additional window.) The workers for the Thompson Creek Window Company were quick and efficient installing the windows. They also pointed out some areas in the walls that were damaged by water intrusion due primarily to the incorrect installation of flashing with the last replacement windows NOT FROM the Thompson Creek Window Company. The damaged areas did not affect the installation nor were they severe enough to require repair. | |The timely completion of the job included cleanup and removal of ALL debris from the job. | |The Thompson Creek Window Company WILL be invited back to do additional work.

Description of Work: I had eight windows installed last year. I contacted them this year due to possible drafts. They came out to inspect the windows. I was informed that there were no drafts but cold air was conducted through the glass. They also added additional insulation tabs on each window to ensure that they were properly sealed.

Description of Work: They are extremely expensive. I found a great contractor to do the same work and same door for 1/3 the price. Shop around.

Description of Work: Bought new Gutters.They explained everything, were clear and concise . Were not pushy at all. Every aspect was totally as promised . The people doing the work were very courteous and considerate .They left the area around the house immaculate. They followed up after the work several times. Wish everyone I dealt with was this good.

Description of Work: Provided and installed about 50 windows. Stellar product, stellar service. Within a couple of hours all the old windows were out and the new ones inserted. There were a number of rotted sills, which they replaced. They filled in with insulation anywhere it was needed, and they left the property and the house immaculate. I love the windows. They operate perfectly and there are NO cold drafts this winter.

Description of Work: If you are interested in Thompson Creek (TC) be aware that the initial consultation is a very high pressure sales tactic. The sales person will tell you that you are being offered the BEST price that you MUST sign for THAT NIGHT or you will never be offered it again. Also, if you don't buy on the spot, they tell you that the person who made the sale won't get any commission. We ended up calling a few weeks later and being offered a much cheaper price, which we accepted. We ordered triple pane windows and patio doors from TC. They delivered double pane, but charged for triple. When we caught the mistake and called them about it, they first denied it, then, after checking the contract, they had to come back and re-install everything. I should also mention that although we placed our order around Thanksgiving we didn't get the windows installed until March because of first, "the holidays" then "delays in production". The patio doors were measured incorrectly and had to be re-ordered. This took around 6 weeks, and despite the error on their part TC in no way tried to expedite the corrected order. The most recent installment is that the window locks would not engage. When I called TC they informed me that I just have to "slam the window real good" to make the locks engage. While this did work, I'm not impressed with the quality. Also, the patio doors require you to lean your full body weight in or pull back with your full body weight using both hands in order to get the key to turn in the lock. If you're leaving the house with something in your hand, good luck with that. On a final note I want to add that although I gave an F for professionalism this in no way reflects the crews who came in and did the work. They were subcontractors and all were courteous, professional, and hardworking.

Description of Work: It was a very pleasant experience from start to finish. The sales rep was very knowledgeable, informative, prompt and not pushy. The installers were very professional. They arrived on the time agreed to and went right to work. They laid tarps down throughout the house everywhere they had to work and move from room to room. I was surprised how quickly they completed the work and they made sure all was clean. An inspector came by shortly after they completed and reviewed the work performed. We had 8 windows replaced and expect to use them this year to replace two more windows with a Bay Window. I would recommend them to anyone planning on replacing the windows. PS: The financing was great (below 10%) and is in effect until paid in full.

Description of Work: They miss measured 2 windows; therefore, the completion date took 2 weeks longer than scheduled. Everything worked out OK. All but the 2 windows were done on the scheduled date. Price was good, workers arrived on time on the scheduled date and we are now toasty and warm (or cool in the summer).

Description of Work: Thompson Creek, a local window manufacturer did a SPECTACULAR JOB replacing a 1 story high window over our entryway. They came in at a spectacular cost point, provided an extremely well-manufactured, energy-efficient window and their customer service was terrific. The installation team ensured that this complicated installation took place efficiently and they did a through job of sealing everything. When the installers left, our entryway (inside and outside) was spotless. We are thrilled with Thompson Creek, have recommended them to numerous friends and would use them again in a heartbeat. It's really great to be able to recommend a Maryland company that does fantastic work.
