Description of Work: Replaced front entry door along with side panels and gutters.

Description of Work: Installed new vinyl siding and gutter system after removing old siding and gutters. Installed moisture barrier and top quality insulated siding. New gutters are excellent, do not allow debris to collect in gutters. Improved the drainage from roof. Everything looks wonderful. Crew was efficient and professional. Cleanup was impressive.

Description of Work: The company sent out a sales rep to introduce me to the windows and describe what all would be done to prepare for putting them in. They sent the actual installers out about 3 weeks later. These guys were efficient, courteous, and diligent in getting the job done. I was getting stink bugs coming through the old windows and my heating bill was too high. The new windows stopped the bugs; unfortunately, I have no news about the power bill as I decided to rent the place out. Regardless, the windows added increased value and beauty to the home and I was able to enjoy them for approx. one month.

Description of Work: We had Thompson Creek Windows command to do an assessment of our Windows. Their salesperson was prompt, provided excellent background information on their products and services. However, at the end of the day we chose a different vendor simply because they provide a product that was more to our liking.

Description of Work: Replaced all windows (24 - some over-sized) and sliding door. | |They showed up when they on time, did what they said they were going to do, and charged what they said they'd charge. | |We were very torn between this vendor and Renewal by Anderson. Both were very close in final price (discounts offered by both) and in quality of product. Renewal by Anderson will tell you how horrible a vinyl window is and then tell you their window isn't vinyl, but a composite. Their "composite" is sawdust and mostly fiberglass and glue, so basically it's particle board. Yes, Thompson Creek is vinyl, and there are less expensive vinyl windows out their, but not of the same quality. The thickness of this vinyl is noticeably thicker and better. Also, the construction and design of Thompson creek windows is much better and you can see that for yourself when you visit their manufacturing facility right here in Maryland (not in China). | |Another comparison... Thompson Creek uses THEIR employees. Renewal by Anderson will swear to you that they also do, but they are contract employees. A simple search on Google will show you that this is a complaint not just from their customers, but also by actual contractors that are paid by Renewal by Anderson to install. | |Bottom line is whether you decide to get Thompson Creek or Renewal by Anderson, you're going to get a very good window. Both will tell you they are better than their competitors and that they are better than "builder grade" windows. Of course the stores like Home Depot and Lowes will tell you that builder-grade is better than replacement. But ALL in that price range are comparable. It will boil down to some nit-picky thing you like over another [e.g. - my wife liked how much easier the tilt feature was on both the top and bottom sashes of the Thompson Creek window. I liked that the Thompson Creek window sashes popped in and out without having a cord attached (they were inside the tracks vs. outside like RBA) to create an easement... but we did like how RBA kept a sloped sash at the bottom, but that just wasn't enough to win us over] or maybe even something more significant... Such as even though RBA offered a pretty good warranty, Thompson Creek's 100% double lifetime (and yes, it really is in writing) simply can't be beat. | |All that said, yes we are happy with Thompson Creek. Yes, I recommend them. And yes, we would use them again. As a matter of fact, we plan to use them once we decide to reside the house. We were that happy!

Description of Work: New windows in basement and 1st floor and new sliding glass door. Install went well. Showed up on time, performed work even during thunder storm, and cleaned up afterward including mopping floor. Only issue: don't install on weekends which I specifically asked and was told they did. Otherwise, everything was great.

Description of Work: Replaced gutters and downspouts. Excellent product and workmanship. Very pleased with the end result, and liked working with a local company.

Description of Work: Replaced five original and one poor replacement windows along the front of our house. Thompson Creek was incredibly professional in every step of the process. After dissatisfaction with another vendors work on the back side of the house, we decided to spend a bit more for Thompson Creek. Almost a year later, we are very happy with our decision and the results.

Description of Work: Overall it was fine. We replaced our basement windows with Thompson Creek slider windows. Original estimate of close to $900 per window seemed high, but we ended up paying closer to $600 each. The windows are fine, not worth $900 though. At $600 we are happy with them. | |The sales pitch was mostly annoying because it took so long, the eventual windows didn't look like the 'sample' window the sales rep brought, and the sales rep misled us about a key feature in the product we ordered. (That's how we ended up getting the lower price for the more expensive window.) Thompson Creek was great about solving the ordering problem for us, but if they had been more competitively priced from the onset, we wouldn't have had the issue in the first place. | |

Description of Work: Installed 3 doors (1 french door, 1 sliding glass door, 1 side door). The french doors were not installed properly, they were not level creating the built in screens not to open and close smoothly or easily. I refused to have to use two hands and all my strength to open and close the built in screen doors, so I insisted that the doors be inspected by a TC manager. Upon inspection it was deemed by the manager that the doors were installed incorrectly. TC reinstalled the same doors and the screens now open and close better, not perfectly smoothly as I had hoped but much better. | |The second issue was with the side door. The outside screen door was ordered incorrectly. It took a couple months worth of phone calls, emails and photographs to finally get the correct door ordered and installed at no additional cost to myself. Upon placing the original order I informed the TC rep that I had a strict HOA and informed TC that the screen door MUST be identical to the one being removed. TC ordered the wrong screen door and installed it. They were not happy that I wanted it replaced after installation. (How was I to know it was wrong until it was installed?) DRAMA!

Description of Work: Thompson Creek replaced 7 windows(6 double hung windows with full screens and one half round window) in our bedroom and master bath. We were very pleased with the professionalism and excellent work of their installation team and the quality of the windows. We did not like the high pressure, used car salesman tactics used in the sales process.

Description of Work: Installed French Doors onto the raised deck and installed a new front entry door with side lights. On time arrival. Stayed until I was 100% satisfied with the job. Very courteous and extremely professional. They explained everything that they were going to do and answered all of my questions. If they couldn't answer one they called someone who could. I intend to replace my 18 year old Alside windows with new Thompson Creek windows next year.
