The installers did a good overall job, especially on the outside. The caulking was very thorough and looked great. Removing the windows was not easy in the front windows as there were two picture windows which were partially installed into the brick. They put down cloth which was appreciated especially with white carpeting in the bedrooms. In terms of concerns, I found one slider window which was not completely aligned. The installer moved the latch at my request. Later, I found one slider window in the basement which was extremely tight - I could not remove the window panels. After a service call, the company came out and adjusted it and the problem was resolved.

The representative was right on time and very nice and personable. However, he did seem a bit confused by the pricing and we ended up finding the information ourselves in the brochures he brought. I think he probably specializes in windows rather than doors. The quote was extremely high (in our opinion) and then he offered a 20% discount; then said he would round it down from nearly $7,000 down to $6,000 if we took the contract right then and there. I got the feeling that he was instructed to use these tactics, but wasn't entirely comfortable with the pressure he was putting on us. Anyhow, we decided it was too much money and are seeking other options. Maybe their prices on windows (which they manufacture) are better; they are only dealers for the doors.

They are extremely professional, know what they are doing, and do it right.

Overall we enjoy the windows however, as others have noted, the process has been long and painful. Sales - Typical sales person. We knew what we wanted and didn't really appreciate the song and dance technique. Coming in at a price more than double what was expected in order to come "down" to get our business. I told him I had already gotten quotes from others and come in at the price he could do the work for. Do your homework, know what options there are so you know what price to expect prior to having a salesman show up. Installation - Decent size crew but they could have used two additional installers. They didn't finish until dark. Could not inspect the work very well. Also they became more aggressive in removing the old windows the later the day became. They did cause some damage in had to have one window reinstalled because it was done wrong. Follow up - Very poor in fixing the issues that they caused. Been going on 5 months and still trying to get it right.

How could they ever expect me to give them my business? You shouldn't either.

Some of their claims are misleading (e.g. the 60-day money-back guarantee is really two 30-day guarantees that run simultaneously, so you only have 30-days to take advantage). The quote with the buy 3, get 1 free deal was around $13500. We informed them it was too high and a week or so later, they emailed offering us a better price because of the slow season, or some such. The sales technique turned us off, but at the new price, with the window quality and the Angie's list recs, we decided to do it. For installation, they arrived on time but because they were missing supplies, they had to stay into the night to finish. We caught errors that night that they fixed, but in daylight, we found many more. They did return to fix the errors, but didn't fix them all. We'll have to bring them out again. The windows themselves are great, but the process has been time consuming. After the report they contacted us and fixed every little detail we wanted and we were impressed by their cus. serv.

It went VERY well. After a visit from the salesperson, who clearly explained what our options were, we had the work completed. Multiple visits were required because of weather disruptions, but the homeowner was glad they weren't working through wind and rain.

We specified in the contract "no illegal aliens on property" but when the work was done it was by people who looked likely to be illegals. The estimator had not taken note of the angle of the fascia, and when the installation began there was a slope that didn't permit correct installation. The supervisor proposed a solution -- putting trim behind the gutter to push it out to the correct angle. I accepted the solution on the condition that the trim be painted to look like the rest of the house -- which had just been repainted. The paint is flaking off the trim, making it look quite ugly. Obviously, the trim wasn't primed before it was painted. We also have a *serious* problem with icicle formation from the gutters -- especially by the front door, where it can be quite dangerous.

Installed the new windows and doors and thoroughly cleaned up the site within the time they promised. They were on time, courteous and efficient. They were also very mindful of the need to work around our two cats (neither of them escaped). We would recommend them to any of our friends. One of our plastic shutters was broken during removal. The foreman pointed out the problem, and within 3 days a representative was out to arrange for a replacement. Since they could not match the color of the 3 other shutters exactly, they agreed to replace all four shutters in the area of the broken one. We expect the new shutters any day now. I consider that excellent customer service.

Company was more expensive than other bids, but we went with them because they built the windows themselves and had a fantastic guarantee. Installation crew discovered rotted wood, which they replaced. Upon completion, we had decided to finance instead of writing a check; the paperwork was confusing and the office didn't supply the correct forms. The windows were beautiful, but air leaked through them. We called for a technician, who said that there was a problem with one of the doors; after one more call, the doors have been sealed properly. There seems to be a communication problem; technicians and inspectors arrive without the proper materials, or with a different idea of what the job entails than I was told over the phone.

They were prompt, had the work completed quickly. They did have to have a piece re-manufactured to fix an issue, they had it repaired the next day.

We had 4 companies bid on the replacement of the 18 windows. Bids ranged from $8900 to $16050. We contacted Thompson Creek almost as an after thought because we thought their prices would have been outside of our budget. I am glad we did contact them. The salesman was professional and informative, and their windows were a better product than the previous products we had seen. We ended up not signing a contract that day, but rather a few days later once they met our magic number of 10k. Another employee arrived a few days later to re-measure the windows more accurately and to give us some brief instructions on how to prep the area for the install (which we followed to the letter!). Time frame was 4 - 6 weeks for delivery, the install team would arrive between 8:30 and 9:30 am on the day of install and would be finished by 4:30. All time frames were accurate. The team of Ricky, Rick and Roberto were on time, fast, clean and friendly. The windows are beautiful, solid and work perfectly.

I like the product but the customer service is atrocious. They came to install the windows on Dec. 11th only to tell me they could only do half the job. I had hired people to move my furniture so the windows could be installed. I could not entertain over Christmas because I had to leave my furniture where it was. I called them the Friday after Christmas and they said they would get it done the first week of January. Now they are telling me they can't come until Jan. 14th. They are telling me they cannot find brown vinyl painted windows. I called them today and asked to speak to the owner and they would not let me. I had to talk to the sales guy who has repeatedly told me he would take care of it. I am so upset I just want to cancel the whole thing. They have installed the upstairs windows but not the downstairs. All that is left are 2 sliding doors and 2 transom windows.

We had a representative come to our home to give us an estimate. The office staff was professional, the scheduling times were flexible, and the representative was punctual. The rep was excellent - she gave a good demo and clearly knew the products very well. The products seemed to be high quality. We were highly disappointed in the end when what was a positive experience ended in a high pressure sales situation. We were told that to get the $9750 price, we had to sign a contract THAT DAY - otherwise the price would be $14975 because of some pricing scheme. We said we wanted to get other estimates, but the rep said we had no choice but to sign that day or pay almost $5000 more. We did not feel prepared to sign their contract and felt pressured, confused, and disillusioned by the whole process. Even the rep said she had no other choice but to have us sign that day or lose the "special" price. We had no way of getting back in touch with her if we wanted to use the company.

Overall, the experience was great. Thompson Creek is a highly professional, responsive, and competent local contractor. We received three bids for the work (Thompson Creek, Hodges, and another company). Thompson Creek was the most expensive bid, but we were most impressed with the look, apparent quality, and functionality of their windows. We ruled out the other company after seeing the windows (despite the relatively low cost). Hodges had a nice window and their bid was lower, so when we shared the competing bid with Thompson Creek, they gave us an additional discount. The windows are all made to order, so we had to wait about six weeks for delivery. All the windows were installed in one (very cold, December) day, and the work crew was excellent. Very professional, conscientious, and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves pretty thoroughly.

The work took two days. The crew, Rick, Ricky and Reynaldo were punctual, hard workers, excellent craftsmen and a pleasure to be around. They were also meticulous about cleaning up after themselves. They took every extra step to make sure I was satisfied, and that the work was top quality. The original salesman was very knowledgeable and took time to educate me on the windows construction. They will offer an extra discount if you sign up the day the salesman comes out. Overall, I was able to get 40% off their "list" price between the sales price and the extra discount. The quotes are good for 1 year. Thompson Creek manufactures windows, so it takes about 6 weeks after they measure before the windows are made.

I did not hire Thompson Creek to install replacement windows in my home. Thompson Creek's sales representative, Eugene Reyes was professional and courteous. He explained Thompson Creek's products extremely well. However, the cost of Thompson Creek's window was twice the cost of one company whom I also interviewed and three times the cost of another company, whose windows I purchased.

Everything is OK. Good price, high quality, good customer service.

While I am extremely pleased with the final product the process getting to that point took over four months. It is my understanding that the delay was caused by difficulty by Thompson Creek in sourcing the materials necessary to make the French door. Due to internal communications problems at Thompson Creek we ended up being scheduled to no avail three times to have our French doors installed. Following the third mishap a senior project manager took over my job and the communication improved significantly and when promises were made they were subsequently kept.

Thompson Creek, came in and presented they services and provided an excellent prices for the offered services. The installation team showed up on time and worked very hard to complete the installation, they installed 23 windows and did an exceptional job cleaning up after themselves. Windows are great and TCW did a wonderful job.

After receiving an initial estimate, we were able to negotiate down to a price more to our liking and scheduled the installation. The initial time estimate of 6-8 weeks to make our windows was actually about 3 weeks, which made us very happy. Our crew showed up on time and started their work. They were very courteous in working around my wife and two children while in the house. They did a fine job of getting everything installed in about 8 hours. There was a lot of debris left after they finished installing, but they were able to clean up quickly and well. There were a few small bits of debris left over outside after they were done, but this was a minor concern. The windows look great, and weve had them in for a couple of months now. We really love being able to open them all quickly and easily, and they look great too. My daughter especially loves hanging out in the new bay window!

So I CALLED THEM to reschedule... and suggested Friday 10:00 AM. I said fine and that it would just be me and they would have to "live with that" They said, "okay." I got a reminder call today - looking forward to "my wife and I" being there. I told them it was just me. They said for a major decision like this they wanted us both to make decisions on window color, etc... Yeah I have been through this - for a pressure sales job they want us both there "one time, today only price." I have been through two quote processes already I know what WE want. So they refused to honor the appointment. Maybe they just don't like customers who won't be pushed around. I saw all of the high ratings here and am incredibly disappointed - in them and this whole industry which wants you to sit through a sales event similar to a condo time sharing pitch. I AM THE CUSTOMER.

They have great customer service! I enjoyed working with the staff. The windows were installed as promised.

The end result was phenomenal. The finished product was more than I ever expected. Mr. Eddie Pereza and his crew who installed my windows this past weekend were wonderful. I cannot say enough about them. The patience and time they took to remove the almost 54 year old windows from my home was unbelievable. I know this was not an easy project. The crew was courteous and well-mannered. This is something you do not often experience these days and I truly appreciated this. They indeed do deserve special recognition. When Mr. Pereza and his crew left my home you could not tell that a major window replacement project took place. They left my home and yard immaculate. They cleaned up so well when the project was finished the floors in my home were actually cleaner!

Thompson Creek Windows did a very excellent job. They called ahead of time before the appointment. They were very well coordinated. They absolutely knew what they were doing and were very professional. They finished the job quickly and I hardly knew they were here.
