Dale Bilo Roofing

We actually had a tree fall on our house. It is a two level house and half the house needed a new roof, but we re-roofed the whole thing. That is who the insurance company picked and I picked him to continue with the other half of my house and he was terrific. He was pretty punctual. He is an old roof guy that knows his craft. He is seasoned.

Price was several hundred higher than other two quotes, but went with him anyway because he had been referred to me by a good friend who had a lot of experience with him. Most of his work is done by referrals. There were some communication difficulties but I would go with him again in the future. Pros: -small business with direct interaction with the owner, who visited the job site every day -quality of work looks outstanding -owner was very honest and seems to have a lot of integrity and pride in work -overall roof quote was higher than other quotes but cost per plywood board or linear foot (1"x6") was about half of what others would have charged, so depending on how much damage you have to your roof structure under the shingles you could end up saving money by going with Dale -included things in his quote that other companies seemed to cut corners and leave out or reuse from your old roof Cons: -had some frustrating experiences communicating with owner over the phone (not sure if he always had a bad connection or has trouble hearing over the phone or is just a bit stubborn) -price was higher than other quotes but was a higher value

The roof reshingle was great. Dale's team is good and does quality work. The price was honest. Wrapping the faceboards in aluminum went very poorly and the work had to be re-done. Dale is hard headed and hard of hearing, he can be very unprofessional and he is certainly not afraid to insult his customer. That said, Dale is still a good and conscientious business owner and is willing to work to address the problem, even at his own cost. Use Dale for roofing, but for other projects beware, make sure that he really knows what he's doing -- and get it in writing.

Mr Bilo is a local small business roofer.Most of his customers are from refetals. He was a pleasure to work with. Mr. Bilo was promt, polite and professional. I was pleased with the quick replacement of my roof. The crew did an excellent job with the clean up and haul away of the old roofing material. My new roof looks great.

Dale's was one of a handful of bids we had for the roof repair. He had repaired a family member's roof and had been recommended by Paul Davis (a home repair/remodeling company). Dale and I corresponded by phone and email. Due to the big storms we'd had in the area in July, it took a while to get the job scheduled (true for all the contractors). Dale's a small business which also appealed to us. We provided him a check many weeks in advance in order to schedule which he didn't cash until just before the job when he bought the supplies. He and his guys showed up promptly and began work on the roof. They tore it out and hauled away the trash. Dale provided me updates throughout the job as to what they were finding and anything unexpected (which in our case, there was - 1 bad roof was actually 3 bad roofs!). The extra effort of removing 3 roofs meant the job couldn't be finished in one day. The extent of the damage revealed that all the plywood had to be replaced as well (extra $600). Since Dale did a good job of letting me know what was going on, explaining what it meant, I was prepared and not angry about writing the check for the extra money. It was what it was. His guys left the first day with the site clean and tidy. They came back the next morning and finished the job. Dale and I walked through the project at the end when I paid the remainder of the bill. I knew what bad shape the roof was in (never shingle a flat or near-flat roof!), so it was going to be a gamble figuring out the extent of the damage. Dale and his team were very fair in the effort and the price. I would recommend Dale Bilo's company for any roofing job.

It took three roofers three days, including a Saturday, to complete the poject. I am very particular and am satisfied with their work. They did a great job. They showed up promptly and worked efficiently. They were able to reused my gutter guards in the back. Unfortunately, the front gutter guards were unusable because of storm damage. They also patched wood around chimney, did a really good job on flashing and diverters. They cleaned up well.

Mr. Bilo performed great work on my soffits, gutters and roof vent pipes. He also gave me good advice about the life expectancy of my roof. His crew totally cleaned up my property after the work was complete and they were very courteous. I thought Mr. Bilo was honest and his fees were fair. Dale Bilo Roofing will be the first on my list to contact for future roofing services.

When we purchase this house, I saw that the insulation on the duct work was not the proper type for exterior use. I new that this would have to be replaced soon. Money was tight and I delayed until the squirels made a real mess with it. This last winter was very h****** the qutters and must have removed some of the patch work caulking. So we had some leaks. We have a very close friend in the district that refered us to MR. Bilo and we have been very happy with his work!

I just happened to see him working on another neighbor’s roof and I just kind of watched that job being done. I stopped and talked to him one day and got him to do our roof too. His price was good and the work he did was good too.

He did an excellent job; he was very well-priced and he did a very good job with the quality of the work. He was very punctual, his prices were significantly lower and I felt that he was being very honest with me about the work that was being done.
