"We write this review as a sigh of relief now that our renovation project with River View is finally complete. The quality of the final work is excellent, and the construction crew, architect, and county inspector were all great to work with. The original crew we worked with, led by Edwin, were so hardworking, friendly, thorough, and fast. That's what really pushed us from 2 to 3 stars. However, the process getting here was frustrating and unnecessarily chaotic. Timeline & Communication Issues: Initial promise: We were clear that the renovation had to allow us to live in our home during construction and be completed before Christmas. Early communication: Our original project manager, Cris, was personable, and early communication seemed fine, if a bit informal and sometimes inappropriately personal. Major miscommunication: Near the holidays, we discovered that the plans submitted included cutting into the roof — something we explicitly said we didn’t want. This contradicted verbal assurances and caused major last-minute changes. Project Management Failures: Poor planning and oversight: Cris and the architect’s plan didn’t align with the construction work. We had to get involved directly with the county to fix errors. Paperwork errors: Incorrect submissions to the county added delays and confusion, which we had to monitor ourselves. Last-minute scramble: We were cleaning up dust on Christmas Eve due to these planning failures. Personnel Turnover & Lack of Handoff: Cris leaves the company: No proper handover to James, the new PM, who was unfamiliar with our project. Crew replaced: The original crew, who were great, were gone; new crew had no context or direction. James leaves: Another handoff with no context — the third PM had no idea about our project or its outstanding items. Escalation mishandled: When we raised our concerns with Kyle, the CEO, the response felt dismissive, with no accountability for the previous missteps. In summary, it's a beautiful end result... but we’re glad it’s over. The process left us frustrated, confused, and frankly, exhausted."

"I would recommend the Acclaim crew in a heartbeat for high value work from trustworthy, kind people. They did an absolutely fabulous job on our deck, at a fair price. The crew are real craftsmen with a proactive eye for detail and aesthetics. They had to deal with significant challenges along the way... and they got through it all, cheerfully and collaboratively despite one of the most challenging jobsites I am sure they have ever had to deal with. Toney and Rey were great partners to us, helping us make decisions and navigate these challenges, and working flexibly with us when we realized we needed to change the plan a bit. Any issues we spotted were quickly addressed. They went above and beyond on several occasions, adding thoughtful small upgrades and solutions for long term maintenance. They were careful to leave us happy and proud of our new deck and have been responsive with a few small warranty fixes too. I am proud of the deck and proud of them for their excellent work."

Unlike some other companies, it was very easy to schedule a time for the sales team to come out and give me a quote AND Eli got the quote back to me super fast. Once I decided on a patio design, the office kept me informed of how long it would take for the materials to arrive and when the team would start working. The team who worked on the patio was very efficient and you could tell that they knew what they were doing. The project turned out great!"

It wasn't an easy task – he and his team were working with multiple surfaces and materials, unusually large window openings, and some unexpected shortages of supplies due to the pandemic. Nevertheless, George consistently communicated to ask our opinion on several aspects of the project to ensure it met our expectations, including when a screen door was unworkable (due to no fault of his), he quickly procured an alternative and installed the next day. George brought levity and attention to detail to the project, working to make sure everything was accomplished for maximum function and beauty. All this, and the project was completed for a very reasonable price. I would recommend George to anyone looking for a creative, affordable solution to summer mosquitos and maximizing your enjoyment of your outdoor space."

"We recently hired Deck Builders, Inc (DBI) to build a new screened porch with a replacement deck and stairs and are very pleased with the results. The owner, Ricardo Anturiano, and the work crew- led by Ronald — were professional, courteous, and hard working. Ricardo was frequently on site and available to answer questions in person, by phone or text. We interviewed 4 different builders in our area before ultimately choosing DBI for several reasons: First, DBI was able to provide the TimberTech composite boards and railings we preferred; second, they offered the most reasonable pricing for our project; and third, we were impressed with their level of expertise and decades of experience. DBI completed our project within budget and the quality of their workmanship is outstanding. If you are looking for an honest, skilled builder, we highly recommend Deck Builders, Inc!"

"Was not pleased. - Material: There was no coordination to order materials prior to start date, therefore some items were delayed due to COVID restrictions. - Messy: I felt the overall project was messy and had debris all in my carpet and paint spots in some areas. Broke the bed support legs underneath while moving bed to center of room to paint. Did not notice until few weeks later when the bed collapsed, but it was caused by them dragging it to the middle of the room instead of picking it up. Lots of debris left in yard/driveway from demoed materials. - Unprofessional: If the garage was open, workers just walked in the house upon arrival without knocking or alerting anyone that they were there. Had 2 punch list items after project was complete - no return, follow up or response to messages sent. Had to get someone else to complete. Opened delivered packages during the day to see if it was material they were expecting without my approval or asking. - Quality: Had tile installed on bathroom wall. After completion noticed a lot was not flush or smooth or even on the walls. Lots of hills, valleys and speed bumps. Overall: Looks better than what it was but cheap price- You get what you pay for. Pros: Painting looked nice after completion"
