Great. Glad to recommend them to friends. Glad to serve as a referral for them. Installer (Jeff) very professional and friendly, thorough clean up at the end of the day. Excellent quality work by installer, and excellent quality materials - as advertised. Price did not include demolition and preparation of the closed for installation. Sales rep (Tara) very polite and thorough. Company manager (Chris) followed up with another measurement verification before manufacturing and called to verify every detail. Everything was perfect at time of installation. Chris called after the installation to make sure we were happy with the product. Closet America guarantees their work for the lifetime of the product, even in the event the property transfer to another owner.

The sales person was professional and explained everything to me and measured well. But the price of $2,000 was $800 more than TLC quoted. I has signed a contract with Thompson (closet america) but canceled it and they responded to that well and refunded my money. When I signed the contract I received a statement that they would match price for the same product, but they said they could or would not match the price I found elsewhere. They should not make promises they don't follow through with.

Our appointment was made at Closet America's booth at a recent Home & Garden show at Dulles Expo Center. (Closet America is a Thompson Creek (replacement windows) local company). Closet America was the first of two companies we scheduled on the same day for estimates. The Closet America salesperson showed up on time, was very personable, told us at the end of the presentation we would be given a written price estimate good for one year from the date of the initial in-home visit, took accurate closet measurements, had appropriate samples of all of the high-quality materials and components offered, had great designer ideas, and used a very effective interactive PC/laptop presentation and CAD application to build/modify the custom closet system we wanted. Once the components and layout were finalized, it was difficult for us to get a written price estimate. The salesperson kept lowering the price point to counter our discussion and statements we were not going to sign up after just one company's visit. We continued to say we were soliciting at least one other company's estimate. When we absolutely insisted we would not sign up at this initial interview, the salesperson packed up materials and the customized laptop closet system plan, and left us with only one sheet of paper showing two prices: "Price extended for today's business only. Not valid beyond date below" that was 35% less than the "Valid for one year from [today's] date below". The difference in price was $2670 more for the "one year" estimate. It was obvious to us this company didn't want to compete with any other company on any level other than price, and only intended to win our closet system project on the initial home visit. It has been our experience for other projects, if a company does business this way, then there is something it might be choosing to hide behind a heavily-discounted "today only" price. (We had the other custom closet system company visit that same afternoon, as scheduled. Less than a week later, after a few minor component layout revisions, we chose to go with the other company, based upon its salesperson's low-key, no pressure initial visit, creative closet system design, quality of materials, solid customer references, and its reasonably open-ended price estimate guarantee).
