Southernwood put a roof on my new construction home. Install was fine, overall appearance of the roof was nice, decent customer service and follow-up. However there was a leak in my newly installed roof. Each time I called to complain, Southernwood responded within 2 days. Each time they responded, it was something different, to much water in one area, to much debris, and a poor design. They even offered to provide a quote to rectify the poor design. I had someone else find the source of the leak - a hole in the flashing. This one little detail missed created hundreds of dollars in repairs, and could have been avoided.

This is the second time I used this company. Once again, they did a great job. They found the perfect siding to match that of our detached garage (which I did not need or want to replace). Management was continually engaged with the project through to completing. The work quality was outstanding. You won't go wrong with this company.

Work was inspected by supervisors - BK and James did an exceptional job of insuring the job was right and to my satisfaction. Calls were returned promptly. Questions answered. As expected and promised . Field supervisor “John” often monitored project to insure hi quality workmanship was maintained and final inspection at completion. Special mention to company consultant Brent Compton. His demeanor resulted in the project being one of friendship rather than business. Also noted is that their was No “bums rush” for payment at jobs end. Customer satisfaction was at the forefront of Southernwood Roofing. Yes, I would highly recommend this company for any home improvement projects

Of three estimates they were the best price. They were communicative, responsive, pleasant and did excellent work.

New roof was put on our cape cod, southernwood completed the work in a day, scheduled it perfect for the weather 2018 was a wet summer. Roof turned out great. There were a couple minor fixes that had to be done a few months after installation, didn’t matter southernwood set up for a service team to come fix. Their service team was very professional as well as very informative on what they where doing to resolve the situation at hand, I am not a roofer and it was nice to kind of get what was going on. I had a wonderful experience with Southernwood Roofing. Our roof was damaged in a particularly windy spring storm. Southernwood was one of the companies I called for an estimate on the repairs. They came out quickly to assess our rood and walked us through the damages better than my insurance company. In fact, they pointed out things our insurance company missed and helped articulate to them the need for a new claim estimate. They also offered financing for the difference between the insurance claim estimate and the cost of the job. Our new roof was installed and looks great. It was a pleasure working with everyone at Southernwood. They were all professional and personable. I would definitely recommend them and use them again if need be.

This company is really struggling to keep up with their business and as a result the customer service is really, really bad. I had to call dozens of times to get them to come out and after 5 visits, they work was still not done due to "other roofing emergencies". I would highly recommend you not use this company and look for a more established contractor who can handle the scheduling and who has a much more experience, professional staff. I had to actually speak with the owner to get the issue resolved.

Southernwood Roofing is very professional. From the first introduction and inspection through execution, everyone was on time, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional! The repair was done quickly and at a reasonable price. Strongly recommend this company for your roofing needs!

The first time I accepted a bid for gutters and never heard back again (gutter still needs fixing) Then after a big storm they refused to talk to me until after an insurance adjuster came. Another company gave me a free assessment and showed up with the adjuster then got the adjuster to triple his original assessment. Now they want to re-do my roof, and siding repairs from storm! Where were they when I was arguing with the insurance company? disinterested, now I have a settlement to replace not repair the roof they are calling me daily. I wasn't worth their time until I had the funds to replace the roof. @ times I tried to hire them 2 times they blew me off! don't waste your time!

Had work done in the winter by the company. I called to have additional work done and was told they would do an estimate. Well its been months now and no estimate. I called/emailed and was told they would be back in touch. They never did respond. I would have recommended them prior but since to me customer service is extremely important I will not recommend them now.

After a difficult winter of ice, heavy winds and hail, we discovered we were missing a number of shingles on our roof. We contacted Southernwood Roofing and Siding in La Plata, Maryland to inspect and assess the damage to our roof. They advised us to contact our insurance company. Southernwood's inspector made himself available to meet with our insurance company's inspector. It was determined that there was extensive damage to our roof and gutters. The Southernwood team worked with us through every step to select appropriate roofing shingles and gutter products. This company's willingness to work with our insurance company made this process extremely easy for us. Southernwood's professionalism and attention to detail while replacing our roof went above and beyond. We would highly recommend this company to anyone who is in need of a new roof and or gutters.

The representative arrived on time for the survey, scheduled and completed the work as he proposed. The fix was to replace damaged plywood and reshingle to include resealing the apron flashing. The serviceman arrived early for my estimated repair window to get ahead of the projected next rainfall. Replaced a full sheet of plywood and the new shingles matched perfectly.

Gentleman came and evaluated, gave us a price and scheduled to do work. Came back in a timely manner and completed the job. No leaks now!! Would recommend to anyone.

Great! The workers arrived early am , protected my deck with tarps, answered any questions that I had and picked up debris as it occurred. The project was finished by dinner time. I now have a very good looking and safe roof.9

Southernwood was responsive and professional. Answered all of our questions, gave us examples/explanations, and sources of extra information. Worked well with our insurance adjuster, and welcomed our input. They had certain standards they adhered to, for example, didn't want to install the roof when the temperature was too cold (other roofers in the neighborhood pushed this limit it). We made final decision to go with them after viewing a roof they had installed on a local house. Quality materials and workmanship were evident. Scheduling and installation with them went very well. They brought a good-sized crew of hard-working guys and finished our complicated roof in one day. They installed some new vents also. Crew chief was there pretty much the whole time. They cleaned up well. We are very happy with their service and the way the house looks. We fully trust they will stand behind all their work if any issues arise, but for now all we see and experience is a gorgeous new roof! Thank you to all the folks at Southernwood.

It didn't go, after getting the scribbled estimate I requested a contract. After a few days I asked about it and was told "it was sent, check your junk mail". It was not there, so I requested a resend. Never came! This all was via email after the in person estimate/request for a contract, so clearly they have my email and are not blocked by spam filters. It was a very fair estimate, apparently not a big enough a job to actually do the work. so when my roof needs re-doing in a couple years they will not be considered. :( I am still searching for someone willing to do a small job, they will get the big ones later.

Someone came out to look at my house yesterday. The guy was on time and quick. I am waiting on my quote for the house it takes 2-3 days but that is completely okay with me.

Overall very well. The only problem was the porch light was remover for the work to be completed but has not worked since they re-wired it.

The person who came out to provide me with and estimate was very professional and provided me with several options and pricing. I was even given the estimate in writing.

Excellent! The consultant came out and gave me several recommendations to validate if the roof was leaking and they worked. I used this company once before for a small job (a couple of loose sidings and they replaced a screen as a courtesy). Both the consultant and the tech were courteous, professional and on-time which is why they were my first call when I thought I had a roof leak.

Southernwood was one of the best contractor experiences I've had. BK and his assistant replaced a pulldown attic door, replaced some rotted trim wood, replaced damaged roof sheathing and a few other tasks. During the roof repair, the worker noted another area in need of attention and returned the next day to fix it at no additional charge.
