Description of Work: Kurt Russell was on time for our appointment. He thoroughly explained all aspects of mold remediation. I appreciated that he pointed out things I could do on my own and reduced the final estimate accordingly. Very professional, efficient,and courteous staff. A job well done!

Description of Work: They conducted work in our crawl space. I won't get into detail but, I recieved several bids from like companies. We selected American Home Services due to the detailed work they quoted and completed. I would recommend them to folks. They were courteous and followed through with the proposal, so far no issues.

Description of Work: Test for and Remediate mold in porch. Recommend them 100%. They did a super job, explained everything, were very professional. Only reason I didn't put a grade on price was that of the other 3 compaies we contacted (thru Angie's list), none of them got us an estimate bf American home services was ready to start!

Description of Work: Mr. kurt Randal and his staff arrived on time as discussed, greeted me and introdcued himself and team before work began, cut out foor feet water damage laundary floor, basement, den, family room and bathroom, professionally tested and removed all visible mold contamination, from all areas ,wiped down all items that were still in basement when they arrived, removed the toliet and sink, all throught out the day Mr Randall kept me inform of what steps were been taken to perform the work (spoke in layment terms for my understanding), visually showed me where the mold was and where he was treating the areas. I want to express explictively that Mr Randall and staff were very prfoessional at all time, Mr Randall knows his bussiness well, at no time did i feel he was misrepresenting him/company. I highly recommend this company. I prayed and researched and search for a significant amount of time before chosing American Home services, Im blessed the Lord lead me to him. Im very pleased. Description of Work: I hired American Homes Services to perform mold remediation on a full bathroom. Because of the extent of the mold problem, which I confirmed with other vendors, I asked them to gut the entire bathroom (removing not only the affected drywall, but all the drywall as well as the tub, toilet, vanity, mirrors, ceiling fan and all tile). Gutting the bathroom made remolding easier and less expensive. Plus, American Home Service did not charge me anything extra for removing everything. From start to finish, they were responsive and easy to work with. Pros all the way!

Description of Work: I had already had my home check for mold by an air quality inspector. Inn retrospect, AHS could have done that as well, but they accepted the report from the other person and were happy to comply with suggestions made. Walt came out and inspected the house formold and areas of moisture using a thermal imaging camera and a meter that measures humidity.and got back to me with a price for the job. It took me a few years to clean out my basement and make sure it was dry before I finally called them back. They actually were able to do the job for the original price quoted. The job was done today. Every inch of my home was cleaned and scrubbed with 1-3 solutions to either encapsulate,kill or prevent mold. Kurt was the supervisor and he very carefully explained everything they would do ,showed me around after and discussed with me in detail how to go about subsequent finishing of the basement to prevent return of mold. The crew was polite and professional. They cleaned off several objects that were too heavy or unwieldy for me to remove from the basement.The room was sealed off while they work and it did not disrupt my day.They were also mindful about which doors to use to keep my dogs in.I felt like I was in good hands the whole way through

Description of Work: Mike Hoffman came to assess the mold problem in our house and spent perhaps 2 hours with me walking through the house, evaluating the various problems, and answering my many questions about what to do about each. This was a helpful and careful assessment. I had talked with three other companies. With AHS, I felt very comfortable that they knew their business, that they cared about doing a good job,that they had a professional attitude, and that they wanted to do what needed to be done--no more, no less. These impressions were borne out throughout the remediation process. AHS gave us a detailed and very informative estimate of the work to be done. Our mold problem was sort of moderate. Our house is 50 years old and the copper drain pipe on our kitchen sink had rotted out, pouring water into the cabinet under the sink and down behind the walls. We did not notice this for some time. The mold from the sink leak required removal of some sheet rock in the rooms under the kitchen and some built-in shelving. Also we had minor mold in all three of our bathrooms. The company owner (whose name eludes me--but he was awesome!) came on the appointed day for remediation with two competent assistants and a raft of equipment. The work had been predicted to take one full day of work by these three men. They worked their tails off. Nevertheless, at the end of the day, some work was left to do. The guys were exhausted, but they returned the next morning and spent three additional hours to finish the job. They actually did far more than was promised in the estimate. We realized that there was mold under our sub-zero, so they moved the heavy fridge and cut out the subfloor and cleaned out the mold. This was the main reason the work took more time than they had predicted. I offered to pay more than we had agreed, but they refused additional payment. Before this work was done, I got sick every time I spent more than ninety minutes in my house. I am very allergic to mold, so we had had to relocate temporarily. Since the work was done, I have been able to work whole days in my house without mold symptoms. Since I'm a canary in the coal mine, my symptoms--or lack thereof--tell me that these guys did an excellent job. We have a couple of more spots in the house where there might be mold. We waited on these because they are enclosed in walls so they were less urgent. I will definitely use AHS for this followup work and for any subsequent problems of this sort. Thank you AHS.
