Omar’s team added insulation, dry wall as well as painting and recessed lighting in an attic office that had lots of weird angles and was very hot to work in. They worked quickly, asked for input and were just very nice guys. They kept me updated on their progress and they stayed within their cost estimate. Omar always does a good job from small to other tasks. And provides fair and upfront pricing.

Omar and his team led by foreman Juan Carlos have done half a dozen projects around my 120-year old row house in NW DC, and the results are fantastic every time. They built a master closet, which involved moving walls, re-routing ductwork and electrical, and finishing and painting. They also redid my living room, which involved troubleshooting and repairing an old fabric-wire circuit, installing a mounted TV with hidden wiring, and finishing and painting. The jobs were quick and affordable and resulted in top-quality, long-lasting results. I’ll be trusting them to build my new double-decker covered porch scheduled for later this year. I contacted Omar about a job to repair a section of drywall in a kitchen that was damaged by a bathroom leak, and then to paint the entire kitchen ceiling after the repair. After taking a look at some emailed photos of the area, Omar provided a fair estimate - less than the most expensive estimate I got, but more than an estimate from another handyman. Omar was very responsive in providing the estimate within 24 hours, and also was able to start the job within 1-2 days after agreeing on the estimate. On the day, one of Omar's crew members, Benevicio(?), showed up on time, confirmed what needed to be done, and then began covering all of the areas with tape and plastic protection from dust and painting, as well as covering the floors between the front door and the repair area with drop cloths. He did what was needed to repair the sheetrock, and then painted the entire kitchen ceiling with the paint that I provided. He was careful to avoid contact with the walls, since we discussed that I didn't have paint to repaint the walls, only the ceiling. As other reviewers have mentioned, B. took care to protect the areas from dust and paint - covering all the walls, sealing off the open kitchen with a plastic divider, covering the floors, and wearing shoe covers - which I certainly appreciated. And, he was conscientious about clean-up after the job, to try to leave the work site as he found it. The job he did with the drywall repair and painting was also top-notch. I've had a number of sheetrock repairs done in our home, and this was one of the more flawless repairs - it's almost impossible to see the joints between the drywall patch and the original drywall, which is difficult to make happen. I appreciate the attention to detail and skill, so I won't hesitate to call Omar agin.

They came in a timely manner I was pleased of there work

Omar's did a great job replacing the ceiling on our three-season porch when it began to buckle. They offered an option to patch the damaged part or to replace the whole thing; we went with the latter. It took two days; the ceiling was done the first day, and then they took the second to paint. I was pleased with their work and would happily hire them again.

Didn't show up for scheduled appointment to get an estimate. Didn't respond to text and phone call to see if he was coming. We left after waiting for 1/2 hour. Now hours later and still haven't heard from him.

Excellent job. Juan Pablo and his crew did an amazing job. It's better than we imagined and they really took care of all the little details to ensure it was a high-quality job. Everyone is very happy here. We would DEFINITELY use Omar's General Contracting again (and already have!).

I am very pleased with the work Omar's General Contracting did on my new shed build and installation. The team was responsive, respectful, worked fast, and showed up when they said they would. They poured concrete footings, built the 8x12 shed from a kit, installed an extra window that I purchased, installed the roof, and painted the exterior. It looks great!

Outstanding as always. We have used Omar’s a number of times over the years and they always do great. They are straightforward, honest people who do amazing work at a reasonable price. I strongly recommend them. In this case, the lights look great and the patchwork on the wall was so thorough you would never know there were several large pieces cut out to facilitate the light installation. Thanks!!

Went very well. The staff arrived in the agreed upon window and completed the work efficiently and in the expected amount of time. Staff wore masks throughout the project and were kind and considerate while I worked at home.

Omar did show up for the initial site visit on time, and said he was available to do the work, told me he was flexible and to just contact him when I needed the work, and had me send an email with the SOW. Then he was completely unreachable, and the office kept saying he was "putting together a proposal". He wasn't reliable, and communication was poor, and it left me scrambling to find a last minute replacement, which luckily worked out well for me as I found a highly professional company. Based on this, I would absolutely not recommend this company. They are also not licensed in DC.

The process went great. The guys completed the work in two days
