+ -1 moreOur HOA hired Gary Nolder to repair and renovate our 2BR 1BA unit that had succumbed to uneven flooring over the years and a flooded kitchen. From the start, Gary seemed perfect, attentive and detailed with great designs. However the second he received the money is when the problems. Coordinating with Gary became slower due to his frequent vacations and inability to get ahold of him several times over 3 months. We had to reach out to his subcontractors and he scolded us for doing this! The cardinal sin is that Gary's team either purposely choose to not level the flooring substrate by simply adding new subfloor on-top of the old structurally problematic base, which would have kept the problem unresolved! We and our HOA ended up breaking ties and cutting our losses with him, very sad because we lost countless weeks with him. We don't recommend Gary to anyone.

Description of Work: They removed everything from existing bathroom and installed tiles, cabinets, soaking bathtub ,body sprays, sewer plumbing from toilet was replace with new pipes, ceiling fan, ceiling lights above bathtub and rest of bathroom, lights above medicine cabinet, two recess boxes in bathtub/shower area, towel warmer and a marble top for the sink new bathroom door, glass bathtub door and mirror in the back of door. Gary and Melanie Grande oversaw the project since they were plumbers, electricians and other people who need to come to the house to install equipment.

+ 0 moreOnce I got Mr. Nolder's phone from AL, I contacted him and explain by phone what we wanted. He said he was interested and agreed to come and see the place. When he came, we talk about different materials for tiles and sinks. He explained the different kinds of toilets available in the market at the time. He talked about how to improved the ventilation in the small bathroom. He suggested to go to stores to see examples of different bathrooms. This activity was to help us decided in a list of items that were needed for the new bathroom. We also talked how much money would the project cost. He also suggested websites to visit for price comparisons. Mr. Nolder send us an free estimate for the job and we agreed. We pay the project in three payments, beginning of the project middle and end of the project. It took approx 8 weeks. Main problems were, the two custom made cabinets were incorrectly made by the company, so we had to wait 2 weeks for the correct ones. Another problem was that a piece was missing from the sink faucet and it took 8 weeks to be deliver. These were no Mr. Nolder's fault.
Description of Work: Mr. Nolder renovated our bathroom that is approx 7x4 feet from 1960. He completely remove tiles from floors and walls, toilet, sink, plumbing, replace damage stud, created a wooden floor (for our surprised the previous floor was a piece of plywood that held the tiles). After the room was completely empty then he started to repair the stud, replace the plumbing that is part of the toilet, created the plumbing for the shower and sink. He also created the duct for the fan above the shower, created the new tiles walls and floor. Mr. Nolder created follow up a design that we had discussed and also created a design with the tiles for the floor and and walls. He install two lights in the shower area and another above the sink. He also install two extra electrical outlet for a total of three. He install two cabinet, one that is above the commode and goes to the ceiling and the other that is a floating cabinet that holds the sink. He install a shower tower, faucet that comes from the wall. He also installed two towel holders, toilet paper holder, light fixtures, onyx sink over granite over the cabinet.

+ 1 moreWe met with Gary several times prior to his starting the project. We decided on custom tile, which he helped my wife pick out, and we went with a custom steam shower. We also had our bedroom painted to match the new colors in the bath. Gary did most of the work himself, but used an electrician, drywall guy, and painter to do some of the work. The project took longer than we thought it would, but that's because Gary is a perfectionist (I mean that in a good way) and wanted the job to turn out exactly how we had planned it. We were not disappointed!
Description of Work: Gary remodeled our master bath. He was very helpful in putting our vision of what we wanted together. It was an incredible custom job, and my wife and I love it. I wish I could attach a picture of his finished work...it's amazing. Gary does top quality work, and he is as conscientious a contractor as I've ever dealt with. We had two problems with the final product (one was Gary's doing, one was not), and he came back without question and fixed both problems very quickly. Highly recommend Gary on all levels.

He was here each day early with a very pleasant attitude, no matter what surprise occurred in the remodel, he solved it easily. Description of Work: I highly recommend Gary Nolder for any home project you have. He recently renovated my bathroom, and it looks amazing! In the past, he totally renovated my kitchen and built a screened-in porch. Both are show-room beautiful. My home went from very basic to luxurious, and I added huge value to my home. He's reliable, reasonably priced, easy to get a hold of, honest, and is a perfectionist. He did all the work himself, and is therefore on site daily. If you are looking for a job done right the first time, Gary is your go-to contractor.
