The promptness of the service stood out. The workers were very quick from when we called to when they came. They left the area clean.

Our boiler stopped working just before one of the coldest nights of 2015. I discovered this after regular business hours, but their telephone service ensured that we got an appointment for the next day. Since we had power, we decided not to request emergency service. Their technician quickly diagnosed the problem as a blocked flue, which had set off the stack sensor. Davis and Davis does not typically do work involving chimneys, but made sure that I knew how to restart the boiler once the blockage was removed. When I attempted to restart, the system would not function (there was no power to the control unit). I called the tech, and he came back within an hour to fix a wire that was jarred loose during reassembly. No extra charge. I have used Davis and Davis for all of my HVAC needs over the past several years. Honest, prompt and thorough work every time.

Angie?s List has one again come through with a winner! I had my furnace and air conditioner replaced, and a humidifier installed. Everyone involved was very helpful when explaining my options and answering my questions. The installation crew (Kevin, Kevin, and Zach) were professional, polite, and did a great job - removing the old system, installing the new, and cleaning up. Plus, the price was outstanding! The only drawback is that their service area is limited, as they are a small business and do not have hundreds of employees (for whom you?d be paying overhead, which would be reflected in their price ?) Davis and Davis is the best! They installed the first air conditioner and furnace in 1992 and 21 years later installed the next one. We had bids from 2 other companies but in terms of cost, quality, and know-how, they exceeded the others. We highly recommend them and their services.

The one they've been maintaining is almost 29 years old. We plan to have them install a new furnace in the next month or so.

The installation was completed well ahead of the estimate given. As usual, the service personnel arrived on time and performed the installation and cleanup in the most efficient manner possible. We have been a Davis & Davis customer for over thirty years and have the highest level of trust in the products they recommend and in the service provided by the company.

They will wash the filters and checked everything. I pay for a service contract so that covers the service visits for the year. They come and get everything geared up for winter and in the spring they come to get everything geared up for summer. I have been using them since 1986 and I have referred them to persons. .

We will be needing a new heat pump in the near future . However, he recommended that we watch and wait to see how it goes before replacing it since it is still working

The work went fine except the repairman put the relay on the wrong air handler so had to come back and do it again. Also, I thought the price was a little high but did the work anywhere.

We had an excellent experience with Davis and Davis. Late in August, our air conditioner started making a terrible noise, and died. It was maybe 8:00 at night, and we called the company expecting to get a recording and leave a message. We got an actual human, who said that for an emergency fee they could send someone out that night! When we asked how soon a non-emergency visit would be, we were told the next morning ... that they could call us as early as 6am to schedule an appointment, and the first appointments were 8-10am. We decided the next morning was fine. A technician called, the appointment was scheduled, and he showed up promptly. The motor was found to be burnt out, and they had to order a replacement, which they did immediately. It was shipped overnight and was installed the following afternoon. We were without air conditioning for less that 48 hours! Service was prompt, extremely friendly, and reasonably priced, and we were told exactly what to expect and when to expect it at every point in the process. They demonstrated top-quality customer service, without any attempt to pressure us to pay for additional services we didn't need. I'm very impressed with the company and will definitely use them again.

Went very well. Technician was professional, prompt, polite, and knew his stuff. He said Davis and Davis would follow up with a call about fixing one thing, but I haven't heard from them, so I guess I'll need to follow up. Overall, a good experience.

john had advised that a small piece of wall might need to come out in order to put the handler up in a small closet on the attic-level floor of the house. it was wonderful that that did not happen, they were able to fit the handler in perfectly. it took 2 men about a day & 1/2 to complete the project. it went very well & i am very satisfied. thanks to all.

I was fortunate that Kevin Smith happened to take my request for an estimate. He came by quickly to assess my needs, and was extremely responsive on the emails with my questions about the recommended system and costs. He also sent a technician to try to get the old system running temporarily until their schedule opened up for the installation. But they could not get my old furnace working safely again. Once I emailed about my concerns that the evenings were only getting colder, Mr. Smith and his team found a way to squeeze in the installation. The installation went very smoothly, and the crew was great.

Davis & Davis is one of the best HVAC companies I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. From the first contact with Kevin Smith every aspect of the sale and installation was handled with efficiency and professionalism. As a backstory I have had an annual service contract with another well known HVAC company in the area for over 15 years. On a recent service call they quoted me $1638 for an exhaust fan motor and pressure switch for my hot water heater, which they had previously installed. For quite some time I have felt that this company was gouging on parts costs to offset the labor being covered under our service contract. When I ordered the part from the OEM over the internet the cost was $245 (delivered). I installed it in ten minutes with four screws. I never called this company for an estimate for my new systems and would simply advise people to avoid "navy blue vans/ white lettering" used by this company. In reflection I should have called and received an estimate that I'm sure would have been 60% to 100% higher. On the other end of the spectrum is Davis and Davis. I called for an estimate to proactively replace my two 20 year old systems. They were Bryant 90's and still worked fine but a friend had just had D&D install a furnace and he raved about the professionalism and the service. Kevin Smith came out gave me a quote on three levels of systems with differing SEER's and heating capacities. Kevin worked with me to fit the best system into my budget. I didn't get the least expensive, but also not the most robust. When the install day arrived 5 technicians arrived in two trucks with all the equipment ready to go. One team worked on the attic system, the other on the downstairs system and within the day the total install was up and running and nearly complete. The next day George and a helper arrived to do the detail work of insulating attic ducts and making sure evrything was perfect. The heating systems have now been working beautifully and exactly as described by Kevin. The systems are stronger, the air seems warmer and they run for shorter periods of time to warm the house nicely. They are both very quiet and energy efficient. I look forward to the energy savings over the coming months. Obviously, we only used the air conditioning on one warm day in October. It worked great and I forsee no problem when the summer comes along. If you have HVAC problems or needs do not hesitate to call this stellar local company. You won't be disappointed.

We have used Davis and Davis for years. They are consistently responsive, hire professional and competent service persons. They were aware this time that we were on a strict timeline and kept to it. We had a lot of questions about what kind of air conditioner and heater we wanted and the serviceman gave complete and concise information. We were away for an extended period and I asked them to call us in early September and remind me to get the county inspection and that is exactly what they did. Excellent service.
