Description of Work: Some part to my heater wasn't working. The serviceman had been to my house 3 years previously for the air conditioner and remembered me and the work. I was impressed. Especially since he has been working for Davis & Davis for many years. I was most impressed with how quickly they were able to schedule the repair.

Description of Work: Our furnace failed, on what was to turn out to be a very cool spring. Eric, who is very knowledgeable, took care of it. Also, what was impressive, he noticed something about a gas line that was not correct. Based on his words we called the contractor, who had done the original work, back for consult. |Davis and Davis hires talented people. We have used them many times throughout the years. Will continue to do so.

Description of Work: I called Davis and Davis regarding our Humidifier which needed to be serviced according to the Home Inspection Report. He offered to come out the same day in about an hour. Pleasantly surprised I agreed. He informed me of what was wrong and what price the repairs would cost - both very resonable $25 for each new part. He got it serviced the humidifier in good time and was pleasant. I was pleasantly surprised that he didn't try to upsell or overcharge. We will definitely call Davis and Davis again!

Presented me with all options and allowed me to make the right decision for me. I appreciated the way he educated me on my system worked with me in making a cost-effective plan for future maintenance.

Description of Work: I called Davis and Davis because we will need two new heating units, 2 new central AC units major duct and vent work. We had a flood and insurance is covering much of this. Several companies have already estimated the job to be in excess of $22,000.Because Davis and Davis refused to break down the estimate into cost of the parts and cost of the labor to install, they refused to take the job.Can you imagine that is these hard economic times, a company can refuse a job of this magnitude because it requires a bit more "paper work" then thy would like to do?Beware of this company. If you have any insurance coverage, Davis and Davis are not interested in your problems.There are plenty of great HVAC companies on Angie's List. Davis and Davis is not one of them. Try SUNN.

Description of Work: We just purchased our house 6 months ago, and the A/C compressor had a lot of white stuff built up around the bottom, and I was worried that it was impeding air flow. The technician arived right on time, was polite and friendly to our dog. After he examined the compressor, he explained that the previous owners dogs had been relieving themselbves there, and the acid caused a chemical reaction. He wahed off some, and explained that the equipment was not old and would run well for a number of years. I was relieved that he didn't try to sell us a new air pump. he also checked the intake ducts in the house for me.

Description of Work: I called at approx. 12:10 today and got a message saying that they are on lunch but if I leave a message, they will call back at 1 PM. I left a message stating that I wanted to replace my Central AC unit and would like a call back. I planned on spending around $3500.00 but, because of NO response, they have lost my business. They had a MAJOR leg up on the competition because they were top rated on Angies list. Sadly, they failed to live up to the hype.

They wanted me to fax all the information to them and said they would get back to me. I have waited over a week to hear from them. I finally called and they informed me that if I haven't heard from anyone, then they are not interested in the work, rather than calling me back.
