I have been using them for about 15 years. They service, and repair my furnace and air conditioner twice a year. They are very responsive. I have never had to complain about the quality of their work. I absolutely intend to continue using them.

I received quotes/proposals from multiple companies. Davis and Davis wasn't the cheapest quote, but provided a very detailed proposal and the suggested equipment that was not only appropriate for my home, but also fully qualified for the $1500 tax credit. As they say, you get what you pay for. Between the proposal and conversations with D&D sales rep, I was felt very comfortable going with them. I also like the fact that many of the D&D team have been with the company a very long time. I was able to schedule an installation date less than a week after agreeing to the proposal. The install team was very punctual, efficient, and clean. They patiently answered all of our questions, and demo'ed all of the HVAC system's operation. We are very pleased with the quality of the installation...even the outside inspector commented on how the install and ductwork was very professionally done. Bottom line: There were absolutely no surprises and a truly professional job from start to finish.

I have a contract with them for regular maintenance during the year (two a year). They are very reliable. The quality of their work is excellent. The price is fair. And most importantly, in case of emergency they respond very quickly.

Got home on Friday and saw the floor in front of the air conditioner was wet. I upped the thermostat to 82 which stopped the problem and the existing wet floor dried. Tom was here from 8:12am to 9:10am Tuesday 08/04/09. He thoroughly checked the air conditioner for a leak and saw none. He asked if the filter was wet when replaced and it was not wet. He found the wetness was coming from the drainage pipe used for the air conditioner’s condensation. He cleared the drainage pipe by using a CO2 charge which worked. A permanent solution will need be realized. The work cost $94.50 and the service contract cost $150.00. I was extremely pleased with their work and will use again.

Called on Friday morning and requested a Saturday appointment as I was unable to be home that day due to medical appts. (they had offered try to fit us in given the AC was out). Woman who answered the phone was warm, friendly and very helpful. She quickly got us set up for service, discussed their service charges (their fees went up $10 from Angies List price per a few weeks ago for initial call as I asked), and gave us a time frame up to 1 PM. Dennis called in the AM and stated he'd be here between 10-12 PM. He probably arrived on the earlier of the times, which we appreciated as we had PM activities scheduled (although we would have waited given the emergency). I wasn't inside and he came around back to locate me (and the two others as they were removing our shed), promptly completed the work (and clearly knew what he was doing) and the ac immediately worked. We were charged the initial fee ($95 for 1st half hour and the parts), which seemed reasonable although I grumbled about how much some of the parts cost but its some of those parts (even without a mark-up can be $$$). We are normally DIY on everything, including plumbing but this wasn't a skill we wanted to learn given their service charge was very reasonable given how quick Dennis was in diagnosing/fixing the problem and had the necessary parts with him. We were very fortunate and had a very good experience with our initial call and service provider, Dennis. We are very appreciative to Dennis for fixing the AC as I was very cranky without it . He appeared to be honest, decent, hardworking and reasonable. At some point we'd like a routine heating/ac service and will call them again. They did not do it on Saturdays as stated that the Saturday appts. are for emergencies (i.e. heat/ac out) which seemed reasonable to me as he should enjoy his weekend too. THANK YOU DENNIS. Working with Davis & Davis was a great experience. We had already shopped around quite a bit. We tried Sears and some independent HVAC companies in the area. The quotes ranged widely for a system for our tiny townhouse. We couldn't believe it might cost up to $10k for an HVAC (without ductwork) for our small place. We were getting tired of sleazy salesman coming into our home, spending hours and trying to use a bunch of esoteric terminology to con us into spending way too much on a new HVAC system. Sears was the worst in this regard. However, with Davis and Davis, a guy came in and within 15 minutes evaluated our situation and gave us the most reasonable price we heard. He was very straightforward and explained our options. He said our townhouse wasn't big enough to justify some of the higher-end, more powerful units. He also didn't try to get us to sign a contract immediately. He left information about a system that best suited our townhouse and left a contract that we could take our time reading through. That night, we reviewed all of the information and it looked great. We called him back a couple of days later and set up a time for their team to come in and replace our system. They came and set up the system quickly. They double-checked that the system worked well. We've had the system now for about 6 months and it's worked extremely well. We've used it for heat in the winter and now a/c in the summer. I'm so happy we found Davis & Davis on angie's list because I couldn't be happier with the quality of service they provided and the price we paid. Their management definitely know how to run a professional business.

It was hot. turned on air conditioner, while we heard sound there was no cooling davis and davis came and fixed problem...see above cant give you answer on estimate since i never asked ffor one.

Very good professional experience. The technician explain in detail what I need to do in the fall to restart the humidifier.

I highly recommend them because they were honest. I had other companies that were trying to sell me all unnecessary things for an outrageous price. Davis & Davis did not try to sell me anything that I did not need and that was so wonderful about them. I wouldn?t say their price was great but it was surely reasonable.

They seemed to know what they were doing. Their punctuality and responsiveness were both excellent. They cleaned up after themselves well too.

I called. they answered the phone and schedule a visit. the technician came right on time. He was courteous and professional. He cleaned all the units and patiently explained how the system worked and what I needed to do. He made suggestions to keep the system functioning. He made no effort to sell me anything else.

Our heat had stopped working. We called for emergency service on a Sunday afternoon. The Davis and Davis rep called back within 15 minutes, was at the house in less than 90 minutes and fixed the problem within a half hour.

Service performed as requested and they did not try to sell me something that was not needed. In addition, the technician answered questions about the likely cause of uneven heating in the house, the viability of adding a humidifier, and the uses of various types of filters.

The first company told me the A/C was too old to repair, and quoted me a price of $14,000 to replace the entire unit. Davis & Davis found the problem, replaced the capacitor, and the unit is working fine.

They are very good and I will continue using them.

Made a service call to repair one of my dual furnaces that had stopped operating when the temperature was around 10 degrees. They promptly returned my call and were most solicitous regarding the emergency nature of the service call. The dispatcher, Gus, provided a time frame for their technician to arrive. He, Larry, arrived within a half hour of the beginning of the time frame. He promptly identified the problem, remedied it quickly, and arranged to obtain a new part that was visibly broken and important, but was not essential to the rapid repair.

A couple of years ago I had them replace my furnace and I went back to them because I was so pleased the first time. I was pleased with the quality of their work and their responsiveness. They came in, did what they were supposed to do, and they were out.

Service tech (Dwight) was knowledgeable and friendly. He arrived on time and performed the work in an efficient manner. He explained what he was doing and why and how to perform the equipment upkeep in between service calls. We recently purchased the home and I was not familiar with how the air filter and humidifier worked and while he worked he explained everything.

I had used this company for years. They provide an array of services. The people that I dealt with were professional and knowledgeable. They always did a good job.

I would easily recommend Davis & Davis.

They have been fabulous. They came once on Christmas day. We were having problem just the other day and they found out that our furnace had been recalled. There was still one day left where we could get it settled.
