Tom Chervek, project coordinator, was well-prepared when he provided the estimate, very patient and responsive to our questions (by phone and e-mail), and genuinely interested in pleasing us as customers. Though we received lower estimates, they did not include the same prep work, and Benchmark's price was competitive for comparable work. Tom's responsiveness sold us on Benchmark. They did not nit-pick over including minor additional work for the same estimate. The crew came promptly at 8am and worked diligently each day for a week (more days than expected). Raul was knowledgeable, and took responsibility for supervising the younger workers and making sure the job was done well. (For example, when we pointed out some paint drips, they first questioned if Benchmark was responsible, but then took care of any concerns they had caused). They also cleaned up thoroughly at the end. Raul seemed to take pride in doing a very good job. Overall, we were very pleased with the outcome.

We were extremely pleased with the professionalism shown throughout the process. Tom responded very promptly to either phone calls or emails. We have had our house painted on several occasions, and Benchmark is the first company that we would recommend without any hesitation and would use again for our painting needs. The work was completed on time, and we were very happy with the results.

Very well. Crew started a day later than earlier scheduled, and we weren't informed of this change until the morning they were due to arrive. The following day, the crew of three arrived on time. They were polite and worked well. Crew supervisor performed the carpentry work and was skilled & interested in making the repairs fit the existing appearance. Crew worked on Saturday & Sunday to take advantage of good weather before the exterior painting season closes. Supervisor performed a few additional tasks voluntarily around the house. Crew cleaned up after each day's work.

Very responsive to our call about estimates. Worked up a detailed estimate within several days of coming to our house. Crew was polite and worked very quickly. One drawback was that only the foreman spoke English (and his English was not great). I thought their painting methods were rather sloppy (got paint on the baseboards and crown molding, which then needed to be repainted). Another drawback was that we felt we needed to be present the whole time because the foreman had a difficult time interpreting our written instructions about paint color, etc. And now, after living with the painting job for a couple of weeks, I find that there are lots of places where the trim paint overlaps slightly onto the walls or vice versa. Plus, the wrong color was used in the LV and DN! Admittedly, the color was very close to that used in the Hall, but nevertheless, it is the wrong color. If I can find someone else, I wouldn't hire them again.

Apparently they went ahead with painting without cleaning the cedar sidings (should have cleaned mildew off). It was impossible for them to clean the sidings and then to paint them at same day. It was too late for me to remind that they were supposed to clean the siding. They overlooked several things not completing some areas. I had to inspect every bit of the siding, finding some missing wood knots not being filled. They used dark bronze caulking instead of wood filling. They did not paint the lower siding, bottoms at the first place. I had them come back three more times to finish those overlooked areas. However, I am more concerned since they did not clean the sidings prior to the painting, will the stains last several more years? I had to point some mess to them twice - some on white downspouts, etc.

I was quite pleased. I thought they were quite thorough and clean. They had a large crew who did a superb job, taking no short cuts. I had one issue with broken storm window that was discovered after they. After I called, someone was at the house within two hours to take care of the problem. I would be happy to use them again.

These guys were way out of our price range, but they were clearly a professional operation. The estimator did a thorough walkthrough and provided a very detailed estimate by mail within a week. If we could have afforded it, I think we would have liked to use Benchmark.

However we decided to go with another vendor strictly based on a slightly lower price & their ability to do some additional work we had. Benchmark was very professional & responsive. I would certainly call them again for another estimate.

Benchmark was on time and clean. The price was a lot lower than other bids. They made a few mistakes but were quick to fix them.

It was a pleasure working with Benchmark. Tom Chervek gave the initial estimate and then sent a paint crew, headed by Raul, just a few days later to do the work. They finished in exactly the time they said and did a fantastic job. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful.

WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THE BENCHMARK PAINTING COMPANY AND THE JOB THEY DID IN OUR BASEMENT. THE PAINTERS WERE POLITE, KIND, AND ON TIME. THE COMPANY REPRESENTATIVES WERE KIND, AND ALL OUR PHONE CALLS WERE ANSWERED. THE JOB DID TAKE A LONG TIME TO COMPLETE, BUT WE WERE PLEASED WITH THE RESULT.

EXCELLENT!! THE QUALITY OF PAINTING WAS OUTSTANDING. VERY THOROUGH AND TOP-QUALITY. THEY ALSO PAINTED THE ENTIRE INTERIOR OF THREE FLOORS OF OUR HOUSE AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. THEY CAME BACK NUMEROUS TIMES TO TOUCH UP AS THINGS WERE COMPLETED IN OUR HOME RENOVATION THAT MIGHT HAVE SCUFFED UP THE WALLS (CARPET, FURNITURE, ETC...)
