Description of Work: Prep and painting of all wood trim on my large, older home. Small wood repairs as needed and light carpentry.

Description of Work: The Benchmark crew replaced some of the wood siding on the exterior of our house, painted the siding and trim, painted the kitchen cabinets, replaced the upper railings on the deck and pressure washed and sealed the upper deck and lower porch.

Description of Work: First, they power washed our single family rambler. Then did some minor carpentry on our 38 year house which included loose boards and the installation of soffit to the underside of the roof of our screened porch. Meticulously stained our front patio fence and stained the exterior of our house with one coat of Behr premium deck and siding stain. Painted our metal garage door with Behr Premium Plus Ultra with primer. These Consumer Reports top rated Behr products look incredibly good and have transformed our old house into a new one with a modern surface.

Description of Work: Benchmark Painiting painted all of the trim on our house, as well as, the foundation wall. They also took off all of the decayed wood on our bump out and repaired, refinished, and painted it.

Description of Work: We interviewed four companies to paint the outside and small section of the interior of our house; and Benchmark was slightly under the lowest bid. Work began immediately with powerwashing and then some scraping and painting to follow. This experience was actually made delightful because of the crew leader Oscar. He went the extra mile to assist in opening up a window that had been nailed closed years before, by purchasing equipment to ply open a window. He was precise and neat and careful in moving furniture. He gave directions to his helpers who were less prodigious in their work habits, and finished all work by promised date. Overall, an excellent experience.

Description of Work: They sanded, prepped, and painted the walls and ceiling of my children's room. The walls previously had a very rough and scratchy texture paint, which we wanted to get rid of. They sanded it smooth and painted the walls a new color.

Description of Work: 2 floors of interior painting. Living room, built-in bookshelves, center hall, dining room, kitchen, half-bath, stairway handrail and raisers, master bedroom, guest bedroom, office, master bathroom and guest bathroom and crown moldings where applicable.

Description of Work: Benchmark came promptly to give an estimate. They repaired the plaster damaged when the shelves and bars were removed from five closets, and then painted the interiors of the closets and the closet doors.

Description of Work: We bought the house at the beginning of the year, knowing that we would have to fix some rotted wood on the outside. We decided to tackle it before the end of the year, and repaint, even though the house was repainted a year or so before we bought. It turned out that the amount of wood damage was more extensive than we thought. After several estimates, we settled on Benchmark. It was a decision we did not regret. Terri, the project manager, is not only extremely knowledgeable, but she is a delight to work with. She spent a long time walking around the house, and provided a detailed listing in the estimate of all the work that needed to be done. Only one other company gave a somewhat detailed listing, but only Terri gave us several options besides wood to use on areas that generally take a beating from the weather (such as window sills). In addition, we had the railing at the front porch replaced--which was in really bad shape. We opted for a material called Lifespan, which will long outlast wood. We also had two rotted wood light posts in the backyard replaced with PVC posts. The team first power washed the house, then started replacing the rotted wood. The amount of damage required more than a week of work. The team came every morning, stayed late, and worked the weekend to get it done and primed for painting. The house was then painted with two coats of Benjamin Moore exterior Regal paint.

Description of Work: We had originally thought that this job would be relatively uncomplicated and that it would entail replacing some damaged strips of siding along a 50 foot deck at the back of our house. As it turned out, it was necessary to take out and replace some of the support posts behind the siding which had rotted up to approximately 3 feet. Once the extensive damage was uncovered, we asked that Benchmark remove and replace the damaged wood and also correct the deck's drainage problem that lead to the damage. The decking adjacent to the house was removed and the deck joists cut. Then the existing rotten band board was removed and replaced. Ice and weather shield was installed along with new siding which was primed and then painted. New sturdier support posts were installed along the back of the deck. The deck joists were sistered together and new 2X8 girders were installed the length of the deck. Finally new decking boards were installed along the back of the deck next to the house to allow for proper drainage

Description of Work: We had Benchmark paint almost the entire interior of our new house (old house that is new to us). This included walls, some ceilings, molding and trim. We also included in the contract getting some other minor work done on the exterior when the weather improves a bit.
