Robert Reynolds, Estimator/Project Manager was contacted in March 2014 and he came out and gave us an estimate to paint. We put the project on hold for 8 months and called Benchmark again in Nov 2014, and once again, Robert came out and re-evaluated the work. They honored the first estimate that was given in March. The project consisted of interior surface preparation and painting of the kitchen, kitchen closet inside and out, butler's pantry and laundry room. They had to remove old wallpaper in the kitchen and butler's pantry and prep the walls for painting. The preparation included drywall repair in the ceiling and walls. The preparation included but not limited too scraping, spackling, sanding, caulking and spot priming various areas. Mr. Reynolds and his team arrived promptly, provided quality workmanship and left the work site clean on a daily basis. We are very satisfied with the work that was performed by Benchmark.. We would definitely recommend Benchmark for an A+ rating. Benchmark came highly recommended by Montgomery County as well as Angie's List.

My wife and I needed some painting and plaster work done on our house on a quick turn-around between closing and moving in. Benchmark was very professional and responsive in meeting our needs. Robert came by to provide an estimate and helped us problem solve some issues, and helped us control costs when the original estimate was over our budget. We were very happy with the work and it was done on time without any cost overruns. We definitely recommend them,

Salesman showed at appointed time, we walked around the house and talked about the job. Painting had long been neglected and there was some rotten wood and many surfaces with peeling, curled and blistered paint needing a lot of attention. I thought the bid price was very fair and liked the salesman. A crew showed up on the scheduled day and got busy. When they were done I walked the job and didn't think their work was up to professional standards. I walked the job with the crew superintendent pointing out areas that were poorly done and he agreed to re do some of the work. He improved the job somewhat but it still was not acceptable. Talked to a manager in the business office and expressed my disappointment in the work. He was anxious to make it right and satisfy my expectations. The salesman came back out and instantly agreed with me that the job was not up to their standards. He later informed me that the crew were recent hires and had subsequently been released due to complaints from myself and previous client. He sent another crew out and they basically re-did the entire job. This second crew did an excellent job. I was completely happy with their work and happy once again with the company for making it right. I'd use them again, especially because when the job hit a snag, they showed me their willingness to make it right.

I have recommended Benchmark to other friends and they have been equally pleased. We have used Benchmark for the past 7-8 years.

Benchmark gets an "A" rating across the board

It was excellent. We have called them back since but unfortunately they could not do the job. They sent 2 painters out to do the job each day and they always showed up promptly. One day they were late due to a traffic jam and they called us to let us know that. They were very professional and they cleaned everything up once they were finished.

One year we wanted bedrooms painted before Christmas guests arrived, but I wanted to be home when work was done and was delayed by weather in the Midwest. They were great about postponing the job (several times) until I could get home. Then they squeezed us in and brought an extra person or two in order to get the job done. They really went out of their way to accommodate my schedule. One of the bedrooms they painted is used by my granddaughter when she visits and she wanted a yellow bedroom. She got it thanks to the great service provided by Benchmark Painting! They were always here exactly at the time they say they would be. Super nice people to work with. Furniture was put back just as it was and everything was neat and clean when they left.

There were no surprises and it was an excellent job. Reynaldo Martinez (the project manager) and Jacques Solomon (office Manager) were very professional, courteous, and responsive. I based my selection on previous Angie's List ratings and priced this job with other contractors. I believe that Benchmark did an excellent job for an excellent price.

The guys that worked here were good workers. The estimate they gave us was accurate. I would recommend them to others. They were a good crew. They cleaned up very well. They left it like it was their house. They did what they needed to do and they would put stuff away each night. They were very well-trained and very professional.

They were not able to get nearly has much done in the time frame compared the other crew I used for the interior painting. The quality was good, but it was more with the speed that they worked. They were not careful about painting around the windows to make sure that they did not get stuck.

They were excellent and pretty efficient. When we first tried to connect up they missed a few calls but other than that everything went smoothly and just as it was supposed to go. My wife and I were very pleased with them. They came out when they were supposed to and finished the job when they said they would. They paid attention to details and did a lot of small things that we did not ask such as painting the mailbox. The cleanup was great and they protected my neighbor’s property as well. They taped off everything and removed all the paint chips from everyone's area.
