When I called As It Should Be Cabinetry I wasn't sure if I wanted a custom made piece of furniture. I couldn't seem to find what I wanted in stores and online so I figured I would give them a call and see what they had to offer. I met with the owner of the business, which is the nicest person I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and just by speaking with him and looking at previous work his company had done I knew I had to hire them. I needed a full sized bed for my oldest boy. We live in a townhouse that has the smallest bedrooms imaginable. We were faced with many challenges, making sure that the bed accommodated my growing boy, that it would not interfere with the other furniture in the room, and most importantly that it would not block the window which is the only thing that makes the room look decent. I gave Mr. Assaraf all the information he needed, the size of the bed I wanted and the color of the finish. The rest was up to him. I was so thrilled when he had a solution to all of my concerns. He recommended building a bed with a side headboard. I had never seen anything ike it. That way the bed wouldn't block the window. Then suggested adding storage drawers to give us space for shoes, clothes, nick knacks, for anything really. The bed was completed in no time. They delivered and installed it in less than an hour. It was one of the easiest most pleasant experiences I had ever had with a company I hired. Everything looked so rich. The bed was nice and sturdy, the drawers were easy to open and close (on carpeting drawers that low to the floor don't always work well). Needless to say Mr. Assaraf and his team members took everything into consideration and really really did a stellar job. I will definitely need more work done in the future and As It Should Be Cabinetry will be the first place I will call.

We couldn't be happier with the finished products. Both custom cabinets are both functional and beautiful. The entire process was a pleasant one from the initial consultation to the installation.

The company responded quickly to my request for an estimate for the custom cabinet, bookcases, closets. I chose to go ahead with the medicine cabinet for now and hope to do the other things in the future. I didn't hear from the company for some time and wrote email asking when the cabinet would be delivered and installed. They were very apologetic, but there had been a death in the family. They soon came and installed the cabinet. It is beautiful joinery and finishing. I didn't know that it was possible to do such a beautiful job.

Outstanding work, done quickly and efficiently, at a competitive and reasonable price. Everyone involved with this little project was a perfectionist, proud of the final product -- and so is this customer.

I had them do a completely new kitchen, entry way, and an extensive office remodel. As it should be Cabinetry helped to design and then built custom, very high end cabinetry, and worked with my primary contractor who built new space in my kitchen and office. They had to deal with limitations of very narrow halls in the upstairs office to construct a lot of the cabinetry on site, and provided me with great advice on all aspects of the job. Their years of experience was invaluable because there were so many decisions to make in terms of aesthetics and utilizing all of the existing space. The kitchen that they built is a very large alley kitchen with a large 9 Ft. Island with a custom kitchen garage. Throughout the job, they were very helpful in recommending changes to the original design that seemed not to fit as well as originally planned, and they always treated my wife and I with courtesy and professionalism. Between the build-out , the office remodel, and kitchen remodel, they were at my house for several months as I was not always ready for them to proceed, and yet they remained extremely patient, and always worked around our difficult schedule. They also replicated and built from scratch several new furniture pieces from existing furniture items to better fit into new remodeled space in my house. Furthermore, they built a set of completely new furniture in an existing bedroom from scratch based off of pictures in a magazine. They made it fit beautifully in the limited space of a small bedroom to optimize the space as well as enhanced the look of the bedroom. The quality of all the furniture as well as the custom cabinetry is extremely high. The working relationship I have with their company is very good, as I had their people in my house for several months during my initial Kitchen project. Later, they came back and helped design the bedroom furniture as I was so pleased with the work they had done on the initial project. Our initial idea was just to go to a store and buy furniture for my daughter?s bedroom. But after consulting them on what I intended to purchase, I knew I would get a much better solution in having them build my furniture. It was more expensive than buying it in the store, but the quality was so much higher, and the price they charged was fair. I cannot imagine any better service or quality of cabinetry than I received from As it should be Cabinetry. I would highly recommend them for both small and large projects as they have many years of experience with custom cabinetry and woodworking.

They were absolutely fantastic. It is the best company that I have ever worked with, in terms of quality and in terms of every aspect. I would use them again.

The Cabinet is beautiful, very well built, and made to meet our expectations. Some minor problems were solved on the spot and the solutions were compatible with the original design and structure of the Cabinet.

The owners took a personal interest in my need for a functional cabinet and suggested features I had not considered. They created it with excellent workmanship and delivered and installed it by the date promised. The communication, confidence and craftsmanship shown by this company made them a pleasure to do business with.

The experience with professional and pleasant from beginning to end. They were on time for the appraisal, which was timely and fair. The fabrication was completed quickly, and the installation was on time and very professionally done. I would use them again without hesitation. One of the best vendor experiences I've had.

We had a dated guest room with an unfinished walk-in closet and an attached 1960s half bath (with a green wall-to-wall carpet and a green toilet seat!). After way to long we decided to update, which led us to As-it-should-be. Shlomi, the owner of the company came out to examine the property and had great ideas on how best to remodel the space. I will start by saying that we could not be happier with his advice and for the outcome. This is now the nicest part of the house! To this end, they tore down the existing closet and designed new European style closets with double hanging, long hanging, and shelving. This not only looks beautiful but it also made the room much bigger. They demolished the existing bathroom, designed and reconfigured the layout to include a gorgeous tiled shower, a custom-built vanity with a marble top, and a custom built medicine cabinet hidden behind the mirror. In order to raise the ceiling in the bathroom and shower they reworked all the existing plumbing in a very skillful manner. In the guest room they repaired the walls (which included replacing damaged drywall), re-routed a segment of the AC duct, and replaced the existing flooring with a new hardwood floor that we extended into the adjacent family room. The entire renovation, including the painting of the walls in both rooms and the new recessed lighting took just over a week! I cannot say enough about their integrity, conscientiousness, and professionalism. When all was said and done, not a single imperfection or spec of dust remained.

The entire team worked extremely efficiently and most importantly cleanly. They always made sure to leave no mess and clean up after themselves. Shlomo, the owner has become more than just a contractor he has become a friend. He is honest and trustworthy and throughout this process i felt comfortable enough to leave him with a key to my home. Everything that he promised he delivered and even exceeded my original expectations. He is an expert in his craft and you can see he truly loves what he is doing. His work is more than cabinetry its art work!

I am an interior designer and have been working with As It Should Be for the past 13 years. They always exceed my client's expectations. The master carpentry work is well thought out not only to execute my designs but insure that they are they are rock solid. We have done work for nearly every client I've had (this includes kitchens, bathrooms - gorgeous vanities) in the past 13 years as well as many built-ins and furniture pieces in my own home. Shlomo worked with me to design custom furniture for our new bedroom. This is the second project that As It Should be Cabinetry has done for us. The workmanship is exceptional. They go the extra mile to make sure you are 100% satisfied.

I have worked with this company on several projects over the past year or two. Shlomo is pleasant to deal with, smart, creative and unfailingly honest and accommodating. He has beautiful taste and takes old-fashioned personal pride in satisfying his clients. He has created cabinetry for our finished basement and master bedroom. He also designed and built the most beautiful furniture for us - bedside tables and a kitchen table. In each case, he has turned my vague concepts into magnificent one-of-a-kind works of art. There are many "custom cabinetry" shops that carry lines of cabinetry that they will combine to fit into your space and needs. As It Should Be is in a different class - this company designs and builds commissioned pieces from scratch. Before finding As It Should Be, I thought that this type of work would be beyond my budget. To the contrary, I have found the prices to be comparable to - and in some cases less expensive than - good furniture lines and other less-custom custom cabinetry that I've purchased. As It Should Be was highly recommended by a friend after he found out I was frustrated in trying to find a decent vanity at a reasonable price. I met with Shlomo who, after hearing me describe what I wanted, designed a fantastic vanity that has become the envy of all who have seen it. I then discussed other needs that I had and Shlomo designed a 12-foot wall unit that had a Murphy bed in the middle. In just a few weeks I had not merely a fantastic creation of an master carpenter, but a work of carpentry art. Every aspect of my interaction was, excuse the pun, TOP SHELF, especially the design and the quality of the wood and work. In addition, the cost was extremely reasonable for custom work. When I had difficulty making a decislon about a particular aspect, Shlomo's input was invaluable. I accepted ALL of his recommendations and it turned out he certainly knew what he was talking about. Shlomo also installed wooden hand rails on my wrought iron rails. I know of no other place where you can get such incredible quality at such a reasonable price, while dealing with such delightful people. In sum As It Should Be is As Good As It Gets.
