+ -1 moreWould have liked it to be done in less time (it took several days) but it was a large house and happy with end result. Also still continually finding clipped pieces of wire on the floor, but will take that over being gouged on costs any day. Workmen were nice and flexible about where they were working when as to not have to disrupt too much.
Description of Work: Applied copalum connectors to all aluminum wiring connections in house.

+ -1 moreWe recently bought a house with aluminum wiring and decided to go with the expensive and hard to find fix approved by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. This fix is NOT expensive because of American Power Zone, but the company that owns the patent on the equipment and supplies. Alex's company is the only one in the DC area who is certified to use the equipment. He and his crew were fantastic. Alex personally drove to Prince William C*** twice to assess the job and handle paper work with the county. His guys worked quickly and efficiently. Did I mention that his prices were also the lowest? $3000 less than other bids to replace the electrical panel. Even though he did the work a while ago, I haven't forgotten how great the experience was!
Description of Work: We needed to have the aluminum wiring fixed in our house, to reduce fire hazards and satisfy our home insurance company. We also had a new electrical panel installed. We added overhead lighting and ceiling fans to all rooms, which required changing how the light switches function. We also had all new plugs and switches installed, replacing the 40 year old ones that had been painted over many times and wouldnt hold the plugs securely anymore.
