I called on or about June 5, 2014 for an estimate to replace or repair three retaining walls around my basement entrance and install pavers between the deck and basement entrance. When I called I was told it may be as long as three weeks before anyone could give me the estimate. At that time I was under the impression that a sales person would call in a day or two and setup an appointment for two or three weeks later, however I never got a call. Four weeks later on or about July 10, 2014 Mr. Akehurst called and asked if I had been contacted. When I told him I had not been contacted he apologized, told me he could not personality make evening sales calls but he would have a salesman call me no later then Monday July 14, 2014 and setup an appointment. As of this date 8/26/14 I have not received a second call from anyone at Akehurst.

They did a great job. They came and did the work and cleaned up well after themselves. We've worked with them in the past.

The workers were very nice. They get the job done in a timely manner.

Job was completed as promised and in time frame promised. It was a very good experience from estimate, plan to execution and review. They cost a little more, but that's because of the job size, materials, number of people used, and you get what you pay for. We have no standing water when it rains now, and only have soft ground in the down slope during severe thunderstorms.

went very well. This was a contract through a condo association in which I served as a board member. The board was very pleased with the service provided. They did an excellent job with snow removal.

Pretty well in the end. We used Akehurst previously and were happy with their work. I made several calls leaving clear voice mail messages to the sales team and never got a response (dissapointing). Then I saw them at the Maryland Spring Garden show and gave them a piece of my mind. The very next Friday morning 7:30 a.m. at my request a nice person showed up. He was very professional (delightful) took detailed notes of the project and took pictures of the site. We received an e-mail with a price quote along with pictures of some possible trees. We delayed making a decision because I was notified my job was possibly being eliminated and didn't feel we could afford this service. In the meantime my husband cut down the tree (that was part of the price quote) and hauled it away. After a spell we decided we could have the work done and I asked for a revised price quote which came back a bit less than the original quote. A few weeks later a crew arrived, ground out the stump, and planted a lovely tree. So far the tree is alive and seems to be happy in it's new home.

I called for an estimate and was promptly called to schedule for them to come out. Once they surveyed the job, I was promptly sent a proposal in my email. After signing the contract on Thursday, August 2, they came out and did the job on Monday, August 6. It looks perfect!

Service Rep call me to arrange and date and time for an estimate. Never showed and never called. Wasted a day waiting for the jokers. Stay away.

I just wasn't that impressed with them. I didn't think they were as good at the job as they should have been. I can't remember if they were professional or responsive.

Called Akehurst and received a prompt estimate via email, approved, scanned and emailed back..very convenient. I had a smaller job to be performed (in terms of landscaping jobs)...took a little while for my work to actually be performed but outcome was worth the wait. Had about 5 yards of mulch put down, two replacement shrubs planted, beds cleaned and edged, a fifteen foot tall hedge trimmed and metal edging installed around a back garden. The job looks great, the rear garden was spruced up nicely and my out of control hedge was formalized.

Ok as far as receiving an estimate and phone communication.

Overall I had a great experience with this company and would recommend them highly. I will also use them again if and when I need any other landscaping done.

The price seemed a little high, but they were on time, efficient (finished in one day) and the wall looks very professionally done. Thank you. Would definitely recommend.

I was pleased with the work. However, the work did not get done on the day I was promised. There was a little delay, but I felt I was dealing with a professional organization. They were very busy, and I feel they got to me as soon as they could. I would recommend their services. The person I dealt with was, Tim. He was polite, and I felt he was concerned with making me a satisfied customer.

I scheduled an appointment for someone to come out and give me an estimate for some landscaping/tilling. I left work early and he never showed up. The next day he called early in the morning to say he was 'sorry'.

The company is extremely professional. Mr. Calland was knowledgable and courteous. I was looking for a "smaller fish in the pond" in order to cut expenses on this project.

Smoothly. They gave me an estimate, arrived on time, completed the work in one visit.

They were very professional. I had one concern about something that was done and they came back out to fix it with no problem. I would definitely use them again.

I called and received an estimate broken down into 2 parts: to remove the old bushes and shrubs and to replant new ones. Since my cash flow is somewhat limited, I decided to have the old bushes removed. The 2 workmen came out and worked very hard all day, digging and cutting out the old bushes. They were very neat and left 3 bushes and a tree still intact, working around them very carefully, so as not to kill them. They did an excellent job on the front of my house, and cleaned up and removed all of the material, even coming back for a second load of debris. I am very pleased and would call them again.
