Description of Work: Vintage Security provided an free estimate for a security system and was by far the best value for money. I had them do the actual installation of the system. They were friendly, responsive, and performed a great job. I wool definitely use them again.

Description of Work: Dealing with Vintage has been a great experience so far. From our meeting with the sales rep who made good suggestions but didn't try to over sell us, to the installer who was courteous and professional and willing to take his time to explain the system and assist with locating devices for best effect, our experience with Vintage has been very positive.

Description of Work: I went with them because they offered a no contract service at a low cost, I haven't installed the system yet (only arrived today). I made three calls and each time the sales people offered me different setups/prices, one wasn't even aware of the offers on AL, overall there could be more consistency in their sales training. The system appears to be simple and straight forward to install/use, but I'd give them a higher rating if they'd done a better job of educating me on the options, I really had to go to the website to fully understand what they offered. My 'new customer, press 1' calls got someone on the line immediately. After I placed the order I rethought my chosen configuration and called to make a change in the order, this time the 'existing customer, press 2' option had me on hold for over five minutes. High marks though for the fact that they were able to make the change quickly (of course I haven't yet opened the package to ensure everything is there, system is for my mother's house). Used the basic package deal on AL FOR $199 and then added additional sensors which I felt would give me the best security for the type of house that needs the coverage. |The basic package includes a freeze sensor, in my opinion that's a waste, an additional motion sensor or door/window sensor would be more appropriate but considering they're a Boston based company perhaps that is a valid need in the NE region.

Description of Work: Vintage installed a pretty sophisticated custom security and home automation system that included about 95 security, fire and CO zones / sensors, lighting control for about a dozen lights, energy monitoring on three different electrical circuit boxes, numerous temperature and water leak sensors, and a dozen video cameras. They hooked this all up to Alarm.com so that I control it from anywhere. Recommend the service provider.
