Description of Work: The Joseph Heil Company did a truly excellent job fixing a waterpipe leak that was under our house. What was originally thought to be a 5-hour job extended to a 10-hour job because the pipe was kinked under the basement floor which made it extremely difficult to pull out which is the usual way to remove a defective pipe. However, Heil worked through the problem and resolved it carefully and professionally rather than harming our house by trying a quick fix to get the job done quickly. Instead of having to either break through one of the walls in the basement or break through carpeting and then the concrete floor in our finished basement, the efficient and professional workers from Heil dug up two places in the yard and made one small hole in our unfinished furnace room floor and were able, after hours of time and effort, to get the kinked pipe out from under the house and replace it with copper pipe. They fixed the leak and didn't do any damage to the finished floors or walls. Moreover, they patched the small hole in the furnace room's cement floor and also completely filled in all places they dug up in the front yard with their backhoe and even replanted my flower bulbs! It looks great! Despite the fact that they were exhausted after working for more than 10 hours straight, even in the rain, they were pleasant and polite and completed the job to our great satisfaction. I would highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: They replaced a toilet in our main floor bathroom. They came when they said they would, did a very professional job and left without leaving any mess whatsoever. They were also very pleasant to deal with when they called me to set up the appointment. I will definitely call them in the future with any plumbing needs and highly recommend them to others.

Description of Work: Established a gas line from our outdoor propane tank to connect to a new gas range indoors. This required going through the basement ceiling and cutting through drywall which I'm very pleased with how little mess they left and how carefully they worked. Additionally, attaching the pipe to the stove was a little complex due to the tight nature of our workspace. He worked together beautifully with our appliance installer to get the job done.

Eddie contacted me within minutes, I described the problem and he told me there would be an emergency call fee. It was certainly reasonable to me and I agreed to pay the fee since I had to travel out of town that day. | |Eddie came within a short period of time (maybe 1.5 hours) and quickly installed a new valve. Description of Work: I had a leaking garbage disposal, which the plumber said needed to be replaced. | |He showed up early (after calling to confirm that this would be OK; it was better for me), and said that he had two replacement models of garbage disposers, but didn't try to upsell me on the higher-end model (at twice the price). Description of Work: Cleared a clogged drain. The company Plummer was pleasant, knowledgeable, and on time. He went the extra step of instructing me what to do in the future should this happen again to save myself money.

Description of Work: We had a leak in one our bathrooms and they had to curse real holes in the wall to figure out the problem. A $30 part ended up costing us hundreds of dollars. Will not use again.

Description of Work: We had a pipe in our steam heating system with a leak. They were able to provide a solution that did not involve removing pipe and opening a 100 plus year old heating system. They were prompt, clean, and friendly.

Description of Work: Diagnosed problem with shower valve, ordered new valve, returned to replace. Will, our plumber, was polite, covered feet with booties, and answered any question we had.

Description of Work: Cleared a blockage in a main line. Very pleasant, professional and cleaned up well. Haven't had plumbing work done in a long while, but this seemed high for what they actually had to do. But maybe this was because two individuals showed up to do the job.

Description of Work: They replaced a damaged toilet. I was extremely pleased with the service that was provided, and would definitely use them again. As a matter of fact, I plan to use them again soon with a home project I am working on.

Description of Work: Had a leaking toilet with water damage extending down into another room. The technician was very professional, explained what he was doing, what he had found, gave us different options for repair and possible future needs. He was polite, efficient, and cleaned up all debris from the repair. We would definitely use Heil again.

Description of Work: Installed a new copper water line outside from our house to the sidewalk about 60' away. Originally received contract proposal for poly tubing instead of copper. The boss insisted on copper ($600 more) at the last minute. They did an excellent job installing the pipe. Ten months later the area dug up still has little grass and looks like a grave in front of the house. They planted grass twice. As plumbers, Heil does not repair the wall in the basement torn out to connect the pipes. That cost an additional $375. The damage to the lawn and wall were the only problems.

Description of Work: I forget the details about price/date/type of blue pipe that was causing problems, but because Angie's List sends emails about this company so often, I thought I would reply. There was a water pipe coming from the townhouses to the main water line that were busting and flooding everyone in the neighborhood, we watched neighbors have this problem one by one. We called Joeseph Heil plumbing and a couple of my neighbors requested to have it replaced at the same time and because we had several neighbors in a row, they even gave us a discount. They were punctual, explained what they needed to do and fixed it all as promised. They had to dig deep but they replaced the lawn all within the day. Other neighbors not using Heil Plumbing ended up with a ripped up lawn for over a month!! Joseph Heil Plumbing is the only place I'll go to for plumbing needs now.

Description of Work: I used Heil Plumbing three times in July 2014. Each time they were prompt in responding and the plumbers they sent were very courteous and professional. The last time they replaced a 16 year old toilet very quickly. I will use Heil Plumbing again.
