It's not a bad water heater. It's just a wrong hot water heater that needed to be moved. Their estimated cost of service was $1500 - $1800. I thought he was very knowledgeable. I would probably use them. I had very good interactions with them.

They were very efficient in finding and fixing the leak, and the explained everything to me.

Ultimately decided to use a plumber we'd utilized previously for other work.

I discovered the broken toilet water supply line at 3 am, flooding our first-floor bathroom, and had to shut off the main water cutoff valve to the house to stop the flood. I went online, subscribed to Angie's List, searched for local plumbers, and read reviews of local repairs done recently. Heil Plumbing had great reviews, so I gave them a call at 6:10 am, hoping they would be able to schedule a repair soon. They checked their day's schedule, called me back in 15 minutes, and scheduled a plumber to arrive at my house between 9 and 10 am. Jose arrived even earlier, at 8:45. He assessed the problem, removed the broken line, and replaced it with a new supply line he had in his truck. The problem was repaired and we had our water back on in less than 15 minutes. It was a basic, straightforward repair, but I was impressed with the how quickly Heil Plumbing was able to schedule and complete the repair, and with Jose's professional attitude. The cost of $135 may seem like a lot for a simple job, but we needed it done quickly, and the price was in line with, or even a little less expensive than the cost of similar repairs by other companies I read about on Angie's List. Jose suggested some improvements for the future, like replacing the plastic pipe the previous owners installed in the 1990s, which we already knew about and plan to do someday. I am very pleased with Heil Plumbing's service, I will call them again if we have any problems in the future, and I'll certainly call them for an estimate when we are ready to do those plumbing improvements.

Provided a timely evaluation and estimate. Provided the work on the first business day following the evaluation. Was prompt, professional, personable. Cleaned the work area in and out and reseeded disturbed lawn area.

Very professional. Clean and quick. Also, they explained what they were doing and why.

I had a pipe being leaking on a Saturday evening. I turned off the water to the house, and attempted to find a plumber who provided after hours service. Of the 6 plumbers I tried to contact, Heil Plumbing was the only one I could reach. They answered the phone immediately, and had a plumber at my door an hour later. I was given an estimate of $450 over the phone, since it was an emergency call. The plumber they sent was efficient and professional, fixed the leak quickly, and charged me the quoted price. It wasn't cheap, but the money was worth it to have the problem fixed immediately.

They did a good job. So far it seems that they fixed the leak.

Since I don't know what is a good price I did not know what to expect. Of men sent, one was a Master Plumber with 30 years experience., the other an apprentice. My house is 100 years old and took their advice to replace turnoff valve in the basement. I had to rely on their judgement.They cleaned up after themselves. It was a very rainy day and mud was tracked in.

They were on time. They were very thorough when they did the estimate.

Eliminated a plumbing problem as a source of our leak. Our kitchen disposal has since failed. I plan to contact this contractor tomorrow to schedule repairs.

Extra work was required because one toilet had been mis-installed when the house was built. The Heil technician had to do some carpentry on the floor to provide a proper installation. This work was completely unexpected, both to Heil and ourselfes, but was executed quickly and in a workman-like manner.

We had a leak in the underground water supply line (polyblue) running from the County connection valve in the front yard to our townhouse. When I noticed the problem, the water was going all over the neighbor's yard. I called Heil Plumbing around 5:30PM that day and though their office was closed, I dialed their emergency contact number and reached Tom. He gave me the County utilities emergency number to call to get the service turned off, and that he will call back with a time for someone to come out. He then called back within a half hour to say Mr. Heil would be able to come that evening to give an estimate. Mr. Heil drove up around 7PM and gave me an estimate that was about two-thirds of what my immediate neighbor was quoted for the same issue about 6 months ago - to replace the existing leaking polyblue line with 3/4" copper, which was the best option rather than trying to repair the polyblue, which would only leak again. We had about 25 feet of line to replace, at a depth of about 5-6 feet. He also said at the time that the quote would be $700 more if they had to break/replace the concrete porch. I asked him to go ahead and complete the work as soon as possible since we were without water by then. Mr. Heil stated that they would be able to come out the next morning by 8AM at the latest. The next morning at 7:45AM a crew of three arrived with a backhoe, dump truck, plumbing truck and air compressor (I assumed for a jack hammer if they had to break up concrete and for tamping soil). They had a contract written up for the exact quote given earlier. Once I had signed, they hand dug two small pits, one by the house foundation, the other by the County meter valve. They used plywood sheets to put the excavated soil on, which saved the rest of the yard grass. Luckily for me they didn't have to break any concrete. They located the two ends of the leaking polyblue line, pulled a steel cable through it, and then using the backhoe bucket and some equipment, pulled through the new copper line while pulling out the old plastic line. Then the new copper line was connected to the copper line coming out of the house and to the meter valve box. They then turned on the water and checked all the inside faucets. The kitchen faucet sprayer head was somehow blown out by the air being forced out when they turned the water on, and they replaced that free of charge. They then filled in the soil, compacting soil lifts with a tamper as they should, seeded and mulched the top of the disturbed area, and cleaned everything up. Took away a little bit of extra soil. Everything was done by 12.30 PM. They charged only what they had estimated, and like I said before, even replaced a faucet piece that came off when the water was turned on, free of charge. I was very impressed with the professionalism, promptness and quality of work shown by Joseph Heil Company, and recommend them very highly. I not only saved almost $1000 because their fee was low, I also saved a few hundred more I would have had to spend on hotel rooms if they had not been so prompt.

It went smoothly. My son was home while I was at work, and the plumber kept in touch with me by phone as necessary. I thought the total price was a little high, but he did a good job with the repair with minimal damage to the ceiling.

I called the Joseph Heil CO from Angie's List based on the reviews. I got a call back immediately and someone (Tim) was at my house within 2 hours. There was no leak that could be found after the gentleman did a thorough inspection of my house. He did find a defective part in one of our toilets and fixed that. He also informed me of a couple of areas that needed to be addressed in the future. When he returned to the office I received a very reasonable proposal within a couple of hours. Tim was very friendly and very professional. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

First visit was ok, a few days later company called to say they found replacement part and set up appointment for today between 9.30 and 10 a.m. I asked how much the replacement part cost so we could get an idea of cost beforehand, said they'd get back to me, never did. At 10 a.m. today I got call to say plumber on way but had to stop and pick up part. At 11.30 plumber came, no apology for lateness, no information on cost of replacement part, charge etc , I just thought it would have been polite to do so. My husband questioned charges and plumber not too happy about being questioned. I didn't feel comfortable and unfortunately won't recommend them or use them again.

Great We have used thus company before

It was an excellent experience and we feel very confident about what they did and will recommend them to anyone we know who needs such work performed in their home.

They quoted "About $150.00" over the phone. When they got there they said it was old and they might not be able to fix it, and that if they could fix it it would be $175, but would still need to charge me $150 if they couldn't fix it , and then it may leak even worse. They said the valve wasn't up to code so they wouldn't be able to replace it, and then tried to talk me into a $600.00 replacement valve, and proceeded to tell me the tile is all old and might fall apart. Then they said they couldn't put the new valve in anyway because the faucet was too low. I eneded up having them cut the drywall behind the valves an install cutoff valves (so I could replcae the shower valve myself) which they did OK but they used crimp type fittings - I guess that's alright but I would have preferred solder - I didn't know crimp was an option - I guess it must "meet code". They sell rebuild kits for these faucets with new knobs and everything for $40 at Home Depot ) I wanted to hire a professional to do it in case I screwed it up. I think a better outfit would have been able to just fix it instead of trying to sell me on a $600.00 repair that they couldn't do anyway. I wish they would have told me over the phone that a three-valve is not up to code and therefore maybee not repairable.I also wish I would have asked them if they would be soldreing in the cutoff valves - I would have definately tried to find a plumber that solders.

Dean arrived on time and got right to work. He explained eveything that he was doing and what was not done befofehand that caused the problem. He cut a hole in the ceiling and was able to see where the pipes were not connected causing the leak in the cieling. He was able to glue to pipes properly and tested to see if there were any other leaks. Well to our supprise, there was another leak going on. So with that, he took the time to fix it with no extra charge and tested the pipes again. He suggested leaving the holes open for a little bit to make sure no other problems occur before sealing it all back up. I really appreciate the prompt response and professional work that was done. We now know who to call whenever we have any future plumbing needs.

Cleared drain of the bathroom sink. That was clogged by soapscum and hair. That I would believe. Then when the sink in the kitchen was cleared, when I thought the problem could have been fat or grease or maybe the disposal, I was told it was brown egg shells. Seems the 50 year old house has old pipes that's connected to an old infrastructure that's very sensitive. Who knew? In any case, they did the job, and I would recommend to anyone who need plumbing services.

We are very happy with the work. The company provided an estimate over the phone to replace a broken garbage disposal, and the estimate provided was lower than that provided by any of the other plumbers we contacted. They arrived on time with a team of two plumbers, and went right to work. They were friendly, professional, and did a fine job. They noticed a leaking supply line, and offered to replace it for a reasonable cost. That work too was performed correctly. The garbage disposal they installed is a more powerful model than the original, and based on what information I can find on-line, seems to be a quality unit that gets good reviews. The unit is working fine! We would be happy to employ this company again if we should need any other plumbing work.

Water pipe cracked in ceiling, Ed Heil arrived within 2 hours and repaired split in pipe. At that time he gave me an estimate and had his team in to replace all the piping in my home. Two gentleman completed the job in 2 days.

I called the number given in the Angie's Listing and a gentleman answered right away and after I told him what I needed he called me back within the half hour to tell me that Ed Heil would be out to look at my job within three hours. Ed was on time, took a look at my job which was a somewhat (just beyond my DIY envelope) complicated task. Ed showed me what work I could do to reduce the time his people would be on site and hold my costs down. My son and I hammered open the wall, hammer and chiseled out concrete and removed the old rusted out pipe. With some scheduling juggling, two very experienced plumbers arrived at the house the next day. They made a difficult and messy job look easy.
