My granite counter-top cracker which had been installed by another company. I asked if they could look at it and repair it. They told me they only repair and look at products which they personally install. Fair enough. However, even though I am not their customer the lady on the phone was so nice. She listened to my story regarding my counter-top, answered a few questions, and recommended another company... I was very impressed with their customer service!

They are very experienced working with stone and were able to advise us on our choice of granite. They anticipated any issues with the fabrication of the stone and were helpful in our selection. My advice is to talk to lots of granite importers and educate yourself. All granite is not the same. Different slabs may have fragility issues even though it is stone and appears indestructible. Look at enough stone so that you have a clear understanding of what you like and will not grow tired of it. Make sure you will enjoy it everytime you look at it.
Description of Work: the granite price was included in our kitchen renovation. They did a wonderful job. The edge was beautiful, they did a great job matching two pieces of granite (one sits upon the other) so that the color movement flows from one piece into the other. Each of the people we met from Classic were polite, attentive and listened to us. A concern we had when one of the pieces was installed was immediately addressed and fixed. They exceeded our expectations in every way.

The showroom people were friendly and helpful. The initial consult by Andy (the owner) went well. Scheduling and installation went fine. There were minor blemishes on a backsplash and a chip on the granite that they repaired very well. At first the plumbing appeared fine until about four weeks later when, on a Saturday morning, the drain pipes below the kitchen sink literally disconnected at several joints and caused a sink full of water to flood the cabinet and floor. The plumbing joints were only pressure fitted and the connecting pipes were cut too short so that over time they ultimately pulled apart and separated. We called the company immediately and they sent a different plumber out within two hours. This plumber (Fred Qesari) was excellent. He replaced the faulty kitchen plumbing with better quality material and double checked the plumbing done by the first plumber on the wetbar. We would highly recommend requesting Fred as the plumber to use with Classic Granite. In the end, we were very impressed with the service and their responsiveness.
Description of Work: They removed the old Formica countertops and kitchen/wetbar sinks. These were replaced with new granite countertops and sinks and replumbed.

We were pleased with the receptionist and the quick call back, but the estimator failed to show up or even phone to explain. It could hardly be a less professional experience.
Description of Work: We have 90 square feet of countertops we want done in granite. We emailed and asked for an estimate after seeing all their great ratings. They got right back to us and scheduled an appointment for this morning, between 9 - 11 ("It will probably be closer to 9:00"). I took the day off work, emptied the countertops so they could measure quickly, and waited. It's now 11:05 and Classic Granite is a complete no-show. I have had no phone call explaining the no-show. They blew their chance with us.

The price included the granite, cost of plumbing, a new sink and a faucet. I decided to buy my own faucet as I needed to attach a pur filtration unit. On the day of the installation, the crew came right on time and installed my counter top in about 3 hours time. Right when they were getting ready to wrap up, the plumbing crew was here to install my new faucet. The plumber asked me to give him a call if I notice any leaks within the next day. I have not noticed anything yet. Although, I did not get a follow up call to check if the installation went on smoothly, I must say that the overall experience was good.
Description of Work: I was looking to get my 10 yr old counter top replaced and shopped around a few places. I choose Classic because of the reviews posted here and also my interaction with them. I called Andy for a free estimate and he showed up on time with some samples of black granite. In 10 mins he took measurements and gave an estimate on how much each of the options would cost.

It was excellent because everybody we dealt with from the time we walked in the business to inquire, to the person that came out to measure, to the people that worked in our house, to the quality of work that they performed. The finished product, the fit and the appearance were excellent. There wasn't anything that we were not satisfied with. We didn't have any problems or any need to call them. We were very impressed because it is unusual to have something done and have it go so well. We were satisfied with the price and felt that it was competitive.

Workers were very professional; estimate matched our expectations. Phone calls and e-mails were answered promptly. Work was completed in a timely manner and we are delighted with our countertops! They were prompt and came out when they were supposed to. They came out and took care of a minor adjustment for us immediately. They had a fair price. Overall, it was a great experience. The only issue we have had at all is that the new plumbing lines put off a slight rubber smell when we use the hot water, it seems this is a very common problem. The smell has become much more faint has time has gone on and I think just stems from the material of the hose.

It was seamless. They had plenty of choices of slabs at their location and were even able to give us a discount on using the last slab in a series. They were punctual in measuring and installation and worked hard to make it absolutely perfect. About an hour later the plumber showed up to reconnect our faucets and the job was done and the bathroom looks amazing.

Description of Work: We had the countertops replaced with granite and a new sink and faucet put in. They removed the old tops and disposed of them. They were very friendly. The installers used drop cloths to protect the floors when they did the installation. We worked with the project manager to place the cut outs on the slab. She was very helpful. Everyone was a pleasure to work with from the receptionist/sales to the owner and the installation people. Such a pleasure to deal with.

We met with Katie at Classic Granite & Marble who was extremely helpful and knowledgable. She gave us all the information we needed to choose between marble and granite, and she showed us some granite slabs which were reminiscent of the marble we originally wanted, and turned out to be what we bought. She ordered our sink for us and had it shipped to them. A week or so before the installation, I met with a gentleman who worked with me to lay out the pieces using the parts of the granite that I wanted. He was very patient and saw to it that the parts of the granite slab I preferred were where our counters were cut from. The installers arrived in the morning, and worked diligently until the counter was installed. Because our kitchen is exceedingly small, they did not have a lot of space to work in, but they did a great job. As soon as they were finished, the plumber showed up (how do they do that?) and installed the sink and faucet. All the work by this company was careful and done well.

After reading previous reviews on this company, we decided to visit their showroom to see what they offered in granite countertops for our kitchen. We were able to look at large pieces of granite and various grades to determine which one we liked best. Samples were given to us to take home which was very helpful in making a selection. Once we narrowed down our choices, they came out to do a measurement of our countertops so that they could give us an exact price. They were very detailed in explaining to us what the pricing included and what services would be performed. We scheduled our installation and they were right on time. The job was done fantastically, very professional. We couldn't have been more pleased and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to have granite in their home.

We were upgrading from formica to granite. This company's responsiveness, quality, and professionalism was superior. They were patient with us, had no hidden fees, and included us in the process. It was very helpful to follow their recommendation to come to the showroom and look at the actual granite slabs (take a cabinet door with you) - they do NOT look the same as any pictures in a catalogue. Likewise, they asked us to come and see a template of the countertops on the actual slabs we had picked, so positioning was up to us. The only stress was on installation - the cabinets were not level, and it was a major job to raise them up. I can't help but think that might have been assessed earlier in the process - on the other hand, the installation crew was actually here for seven hours to get it right. I will have to do some cosmetic carpentry (baseboards to cover the gaps at the bottom of the raised cabinets), but the finished product looks outstanding. We had a stove delivered and installed the next day, and it went very smoothly because this company followed the cut-out specifications exactly. I would certainly recommend this company very highly.

It went extremely well! See above for more details! We are very happy!
Description of Work: The staff was very professional in aiding us in picking out a new granite countertop. We had looked at other stores, but this store had a good selection and really listened to what we were interested in. We went in the storeroom and picked out several slabs that we thought we might like. They then sent samples home with us to review, even though I said I really prefered mascarella, which they did not have at that time. We took the samples home and picked one we liked. We then went on vacation and when we came back, we went back to the Classic Granite. This time we talked to Al and he also showed up slabs of mascarella, which had just come in. We loved it and felt it would look nicer than the Black Cosmic we originally chose. We wrote up a contract, in which Al also included a sink, a faucet and a soap dispenser. Al came out to the house to measure, even though we had already given him an estimate. He wanted it to be precise. The price stayed the same and he threw in a very small backsplash on the small counter by the refrigerator. On the 11th, their staff came out and installed the granite. They were very professional and worked very hard to get it exactly right. I saw a small fissure, and the one person worked on it for quite some time buffing it out. We were very happy with the results!

This was our second experience with Classic Granite & Marble, and our experiences as well as that of our friends (to whom we recommended Classic Granite) were wonderful. Our kitchen would have been a challenge to any fabricator. We have a large island (126") and an even longer stretch of space on the perimiter of about 127." We did not want seams on either of these. Additionally, we had another perimiter area that we knew we would need to seam because no slab would be big enough (we went to every granite fabricator in Maryland.) The seam was going to be in the golden persa light granite, which is a very busy granite, with an inconsistent pattern; we anticipated that the seam would noticeable. Al was able to accommodate our desire for the large slabs without seams, and also to somehow match, on the seamed piece, the pattern on the golden persa light so that it flows beautifully. Because large cutouts can make a large heavy stone piece subject to break when manuevering pre-install, Al had recommended cutting the space for the Wolf rangetop in place; sink cutouts were present on delivery. (Consequently a friend of mine who bought marble from a different company experienced cracks during her install). This was challenging in that the measurement of the front and back of the range top is actually different, and the cutout had to be done by hand. The fabricator cut this in place, and we could not be happier with the result. Our kitchen planning process took over two years. During this time, our island size changed, and we ended flip flopping the granite we were going to use on the island and perimiter. Al Eral actually selected the actual slabs for us; we later reviewed but did not need to change. A couple of things that I would offer as comparison with other granite fabricators: Classic Granite measures the countertop and produces a template. You are not asked to sign-off or otherwise be held responsible for this. Classic Granite takes ownership of this. We plan to stay in this home for a long time, so we were careful with our selections. We knew we wanted Classic Granite to fabricate our countertops, but before we settled on golden persa light, we reviewed every granite warehouse in Maryland and looked at all of the large slabs. We ended up selecting granite from Classic Granite. We got pricing at two different places but ended up liking the golden persa light from Classic Granite the best. Classic Granite's prices were also better. The company operates professionally. Al made appointments and showed up on time. He was prompt in getting back to me. There were no hidden extras or price surprises. Their price grid breaks down all costs for the stone, cut-outs, edges, sinks, etc. They were very flexible as we moved through the lengthly process. The service was great. We were offered the opportunity to be part of design decisions that other fabricators make on their own. In our case, we wanted to make these decisions and not be surprised by the result: - Where would the seam be? We wanted it to be in the least inconspicuous place, which we wanted to identify - We used one slab on the perimiter but there are two long pieces that bookend our double oven. How did we want the stone used? (The stone can be turned. You can use the top half for one side and the bottom for the other or vice versa.) Classic Granite is knowledgeable, professional, and equally nice to work with.

Excellent. I was disappointed that you could see the seam in the top but I was told this is common. It was not too noticeable but it is definitely not invisible. No big deal in the scheme of things. I would definitely call on them again. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and patient with me. He invited me to view the actual slabs of granite at their warehouse. The slabs look so much different whole than in the sample pieces. You really need to go to this place or a similar place (fabricator) and see the whole piece they will cut your counter tops from. I thought I wanted another color besides black galaxy until I saw it in the slab. The sample did not display all of the coloring and variation. I also brought one of the cabinet doors with me to the warehouse to make sure my selection of black galaxy was the best.
