Anthony & Sylvan Pools

It was a sophisticated & complex service, but it went very well, they did a good job, & I got the value for my money. this is a unique pool that was built.

I truly wish things would have worked out with them. I had my initial appointment and the salesman arrived on time and went through everything. The product seemed excellent and price was higher than most but not unreasonable. That's where it all stopped. When the salesman left he took measurements and said he would get back to me with the design and go from there. This would have easily been a 100K+ project. I was ready to move forward and start the design but he just disappeared after that. Not a single response. The main office followed up and I told them what happened and they also didn't respond. Very unprofessional, especially since anyone trying to build a pool will easily spend over 70K.

They were excellent. They've done everything I have asked them to do.

We are more than pleased. Not only was everything on schedule, they educate you on the best way to take care of your pool. They are very competitively priced and you do not sacrifice quality for price. We priced 5 companies and they were the best by far. We've heard horror stories from friends who used other companies, but we had nothing but a good experience. They make it a point to educate you on the best way to get the most out of your pool as well. For example, they made sure that we understood how to take care of our plaster so that we get the maximum life out of it. I even drive to their store to buy chemicals, and their are two pool stores that are closer to me. They have the most reasonably priced chemicals and they don't try and upsell you on anything.

The response time is great and they are very collaborative.

I really like the pool they built for us and even after six years we still use it a lot. We enjoy having company over to enjoy the pool. They guy who designed it did an excellent job, explained everything well and was very thorough. I will recommend them and use them, again.

I was happy with the service. The initially installed my pool in 2014. The person I dealt with along the route made it a pleasant experience. They open the pool in the spring, and close in the fall. They give a full service. They are very attentive. When I call them, I get a response pretty quickly from the service department. I had a neighbor who used them too after seeing what they did in my yard. There have been many other inquires as well from other neighbors. They weren't the most expensive, or the cheapest. That is why I used them. I would recommend them!

Overall it was a really good experience. Especially for my wife and I who never had a pool built. They walked us through all the steps and followed the script of what was going to take place. They actually finished a little ahead of schedule. They did really well, I didn't have much to complain about if anything. We were happy about the finished product and haven't had any problems since we had the pool. We've been given a lot of compliments on how it looks. It fits well within our backyard. We'll use them again if we decide to move.

We hired Anthony and Sylvan for two reasons (1) they had the best price and (2) building a pool can be very scary so we wanted a large company just in case something unthinkable happened. Anthony and Sylvan was about 30k cheaper than the next respectable bid we received. While there were a few bumps mostly related to their subcontractor who did the excavation and an overexposure of our aggregate, we are extremely happy with the end product. Our pool is beautiful and most people are shocked when they hear how reasonably priced the project was with respect to the backyard and pool size. A couple of tips - the chances of having to pay extra for excavation in Northern Virginia are really high. Just budget it in and pretend its not option to save yourself the heartache. Although our aggregate was overexposed, the patio subcontractor did come back to do a correction which was nice. Anthony and Sylvan can also be slow to respond - but just keep sending emails and eventually someone will. In my opinion, the most important part here is the end product. Ours is beautiful and we are always complemented on it. For that reason, together with their reasonable prices, I would absolutely recommend this pool company to anyone. Go in with a lot of patience, mediate through the stress points, and just know that your end product will be lovely and likely substantially cheaper than the next guy.
