Great! They were on time and professional.

The project was to install a new pool from scratch. We started in Oct with the design of the pool. Overall the design process went well. The excavation took place in December and the concrete for the walls went in in Jan. From here, the schedule completely fell apart. Despite the amount of money you will pay for the pool, you as the customer will be expected to perform a lot of the oversight of the sub contractors and you are on the hook to clean up after them. March turned into April. By late April, we had figured out that our project manager had left the pool company. Our project made slow progress but by mid May the pool pump equipment was installed. By early June the pool deck was poured and the water was put in by the end of June. Despite having a new project manager, you will not see the PM on days when big events are happening, you will be on your own to make sure the project is put in correctly and that the sub contractors clean up after themselves. It is now late August and the pool has failed county inspection three times for various different issues. Do you expect hiccups along the way on a big project like a pool - Yes and we had quite a few. After all was said and done, A&S corporate headquarters stepped in and is doing what they can to ensure the project gets finished in the manner it should of be. Will you get a pool installed - Yes. Will you have to do a lot of supervision - Yes. However, for the amount of money that you will spend and how long you will look at the final product, I find it difficult to recommend using this company.

The sales person was very knowledgeable and responsive. The guy who was in charge on the bill was very competent and answered all our questions.

They did an excellent job. The consultant talked with us and designed a pool of our dreams. He was outstanding as he had 40 years of experience. Pretty much everything went as expected and it all turned out beautifully. We were also impressed with the project manager who was at our beckon call. He got back to us quickly whenever we had questions. We would highly recommend them and we would definitely hire them again.

Anthony & Sylvan installed the pool behind our home 30 years ago, so when it came time to renovate it, we went back to them for the work. The project was a complete overhaul of the pool and surrounding deck and involved many moving parts. The Anthony & Sylvan team was always in regular contact with us, accessible by email, telephone, and even text message. On the rare occasion when a subcontractor appeared on site without necessary information, it took no time at all to contact a responsible party at Anthony & Sylvan to get everyone back on track again. The project was largely on time, barring some weather delays and some other delays to which we equally contributed. But, most importantly, the project was on budget! Throughout the project, Anthony & Sylvan went to great lengths to make things right and to live up to the company’s stellar reputation. Following the project’s completion, we were able to get someone from Anthony & Sylvan to come out and correct a few things to make sure we were 100% happy with our pool’s performance. We also decided to have Anthony & Sylvan provide our weekly pool maintenance the following summer and install our brand-new pool heater. In short, this is an ethical, reliable, and professional company that stands by its work and its reputation. I am particularly moved to write this note having recently experienced another service provider’s comparative lack of professionalism. And it reminded me how much the folks at Anthony & Sylvan were willing to work with us to preserve the investment in our home. As a result, I will gladly refer my friends, relatives, and colleagues to Anthony & Sylvan.

Good team work. Very instrumental, you become a part of the design process, you don't feel like you're just left out. They kept me informed with scheduling, always answered their phones and did outstanding work. They have great warranty as well.

It went very well. We are very pleased. I would recommend them for opening and closing of pools.

The plaster service was good but for the equipment I had to follow up with them. They treat me fine as a customer.

They were very organized and professional from the beginning. The representative told us what we needed and gave all options. The schedule was right on point and work that was done was absolutely what was expected so we were very happy. It was a good experience and I would use them again.

The original pool was built by Anthony & Sylvan in 1978. I had the pool re-surfaced 20 years later with another company and they didn't do the plastering and coping correctly- so we decided to have Anthony & Sylvan come out in 2018 to renovate the pool. I picked Anthony & Sylvan because other companies wanted to drill through the surface of my pool and Anthony & Sylvan said they did not have to drill through the pool to put up the scaffolding in the deep end and didn't have to go through my plastering. They were the only company that was able to do it without drilling into the surface of the pool bed. They extended the pool about 6 feet and added in steps and removed all the coping and re-tiled. The pool looks outstanding! It looks like it was just put in. At the beginning of the job, I had my doubts about the price, but after the work they did in a matter of 3 days, I quickly changed my mind. I was very impressed with them. The crew was very talented with the tile work and cleaned up well afterwards. The company followed up on everything and took care of any problems right away. My wife and I were very happy with their work.

They were extremely professional. While they used subcontractors, 99% were a delight to work with. They knew exactly what they were doing and made sure I was in the loop with everything. The person that came out to help design the pool and do the sales was really patient and he must've laid out the pool four times in our backyard in different shapes. He worked so much for us. He never got frustrated, he just kept working with us. He explained everything so we felt very comfortable with what we were doing. He considered all factors with the placement and what kind of pool we got. Our project manager was fantastic, he gave us his cell phone number. I called him numerous times with questions and concerns and he addressed everything we had. He personally came out and did testing. He was very hands-on. He gave me a calendar including every step with the pool process. Every step of the way from the guys showing up to digging the pool they were very open and made sure I was happy with what happened and what to look for next. The gentlemen who put the chemicals in and explained the maintenance process provided us with a video on how to do certain things in case I wanted to do maintenance myself. He's been very great with helping us navigate what chemicals we actually need to be addressing on our pool and not just spending money every time we go to the store on unnecessary chemicals.

From the first call, the representative was rude, talked down to my wife when she asked questions, and essentially told us not to waste their time unless we were planning to spend $50k even before discussing our project or reviewing our site. We were appalled by this shameless lack of customer care and service. Although there are few choices for this project, we will essentially go with any other competitor.

They are excellent and their service is very good. They come up with great ideas and I appreciate their help. I would highly recommend them.

Good. They came and got the job done. Workers were very polite. Cleaned up the messes.

It was excellent. They worked very well. They were always prompt in returning my calls. If there was an issue, they always corrected it. From the start, with the salesman, Doug, right through to the project manager, Jomar, everyone did a great job. I couldn’t have had a better job done.

The sales process was excellent. The sales person really understand our vision, to install a natural looking pool in a very slope landscape, which other people said would be impossible. Our project manager was amazing and kept us updated in every point . He even allowed us to contact him at all time even outside of working hour. The project was not without some issues, but everything was rectified to my satisfaction in no additional cost.

The service was good. There were some bumps but they did everything they could to satisfy their work. Their definitely intent on making the customer happy. They cleaned up properly.

I have never experienced such incredibly poor customer service. Clear disregard for customers and complete lack of respect. In coordinating an appointment with Mike Duffy(sales representative for the Severna Park Md. location) we agreed on a 4 pm time and he stated that he would arrive earlier to take measurements. I agreed, sent him an electronic copy of my plot, gave him my address and contact information and left work early the day of the appointment to accommodate his time constraints. I arrived 15 minutes early recalling Mike's comments of arriving early to take measurements and considering he would have arrived by then. Nope. In fact at 415 when he had still not arrived at my location, I called him twice. With no indication he was even arriving, I left to pick my kids up from school and called his parent location in Severna Park. I was transferred to a different office and was told he was on his way. I questioned why he did not call and they replied sorry we don't know. When Mike finally arrived, at 440 pm (40 minutes late) I asked him if I was mistaken about having a 4 pm appointment. He said "yeah but my phone died..." I replied "when you pulled up you were on the phone and it was not with me and you have it on charge" as the charging cable was connected. He said you can check my phone if you want and Maryland is a hands-free state. I asked why he could not pull over to call me if his car did not have a hands-free Bluetooth capability as I was a potential customer considering spending 70k plus on a pool! Not once apologizing or even considering any customer service at all, he replied, "you are now not a potential customer and I am glad. You are unreasonable... I do a couple good things once or twice a year and not having you as a customer is one of them!!!!!" I am not exactly certain when it became "unreasonable" to expect an on-time appointment or to receive a phone call indicating a delay. Common courtesy I think... but this company in their decision to have Mike Duffy represent them just lost a pool job. Completely disrespectful of me, my time and left terrible impression of their customer service. It became immediately clear that I am actually glad this occurred before I spent money and not after when I the job was under construction! Clearly, you do not want to have this company as your pool builder if they don't even consider you valuable customer...They didn't even have any of my money yet, I could not imagine how inconsiderate they would be after they had my money!!!! Nope, I will not give them my business.
