Seems Wantz Remodeling is out of business. Started the job 11/11/2011, we were told it would take 6 weeks. A year later we just wanted him and his 'team' to leave. They completed the major work by 3/22/2013, but the finish work was left undone. We were on his schedule for 4/3/2013 but we never saw him again. It's now September 2013 and we were still waiting to complete the 'punch list' .(Front doors, trim painting, gutters and downspouts and flooring issues). Also, we are having issues with the foundation. Tim required us to pay 'up front' but the job was never completed. After numerous attempts to contact them we simply 'ate the loss' and hired a handyman to finish the project. We love our new sunroom, but it was a 'learning experience', and not a good one.

I would have to say that that it was a big project, and there were a lot of areas that he had to cover. Everything was acceptable but the plumbing. Since he has put in the apartment in, I have had flooding, had to redo the walls, I had missing access panels to a water spouts, and they also put an access panel where there was joint connecting piping. It wasn’t a real clean out. I have had to take walls down, and install a clean out on my own, due to flooding. When I called him back to show him, didn’t admit to anything.

Their job they performed worked out very well. They were very professional, cleaned up and were on time to perform the work. They took care of me and gave me a fair price. I am not sure how their pricing stands out in comparison to others as I did not shop around. I would recommend them to friends and family.

We delt with the owner, Tim Wantz. He came out a few times and helped us design the space. He was very patient with us as we were a bit hesitant to commit to a project since we had had a pretty bad experience with a different construction company a couple of years ago on another project. He had a full proposal with him and taped out areas on the floor in the basement so we could see what the dimensions of each area would be. We changed the design a few times and couldn't decide on floor tile but he was supportive and had suggestions of his own, too. He accompanied us to the cabinet store to pick out cabinets for the bar area, to the plumbing store to pick out a sink, toilet and fixtures for the bathroom, to the tile store to pick out tile, and pointed us in the right direction to look for laminate flooring. He had given us a completion time of 6-8 weeks and even though we had 2 major back-to-back snow storms within that time frame, the job was finished on time. There were many contractors in our home at different times during this project and every one of them was courteous, respectful of our home and went out of their way to make sure we were happy with the work. Each day the area was cleaned, tools put away and nothing was left on the floors. We had looked around quite a bit and had interviewed several different contractors. Wantz Remodeling was not the least expensive but was very competitive with their pricing. We are glad that we made the decision to contract with Wantz. Tim is a pleasure to work with. He returns phone calls and e-mails promptly. He did much of the work himself and was here most days to make sure everything was going as scheduled. We would definitely use this company again for any other construction or remodeling job.
