Walter was prompt, fast, thorough, and pleasant to deal with.

We are completely satisfied with the work and service performed by Walter and his crew. They completed overall maintenance on our slate roof, repaired a leaky tin roof and reappointed our chimney. They are pleasant and professional, and communicate every step of the way. We hope to have them back next spring for additional work

Overall, Walter Howard is very pleasant to deal with. He was prompt when we requested an estimate. He was on time when the job was to be started, and the job was complete the same day. The installation was done professionally without any hassles. Would highly recommend Walter's Home Improvement for any job.

Working with Walt and his crew was a pleasure. We have an older house which presented him with several unexpected challenges but he was always upbeat, accommodating and professional. Walter and his crew were on time, clean and just great guys to be around. They did a great job on my house, and I would HIGHLY recommend them for any remodel project. After breaking my foot, they even carried me up the steps!

I hired Walter���s Home Improvement for a slate roof repair on a rental property. Walter responded to my request for an estimate promptly, he was able to give me a fair estimate and was able to start the job in a timely fashion. Excellent communication via phone, text and email. Consistently responsive to my questions. The work was completed on time and the roof repair looked great. Great value. I have no reservations calling Walter again for other home improvement projects.

His response to my request was quick. He explained what he did. I thought the price he quoted and paid was reasonable. He also offered some suggestions which I am definitely going to let him performing the repair in the very near future.

Quick clean work and all my questions answered. I was kept in the know every step of the way and given estimates about future repairs and advice about past repairs by other contractors. My biggest recommendation about Walter is that he actually called back when I sent a request through HomeAdvisor. The other three companies I contacted at the same time as him didn't bother.

Walter is truly a "good guy" and takes a personal interest to make sure the work is done right and to his standards...not abdicated to inexperienced guys. Definitely not out to gouge customers...just do what is needed at a fair price. Responsive to calls and requests...when you call Walter's Home Improvement, you get Walter himself.

Only roofer that didn't pitch a new roof immediately. Actually repaired roof and fixed siding that was allowing water into garage.

I have so much to say, I don't even know where to start. We had a basement renovation done in October 2014 that was an absolute nightmare (not done by Walter). Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), 3 weeks after the renovation was finished, the pipes in the ceiling burst and ruined a large portion of the renovation. We were absolutely distraught because of the entire ordeal we had just gone through, and we knew we absolutely did NOT want the original contractors back. My husband and I have been through several contractors in the 8 years we have lived in our home. None of them has even 1/100 of what Walter and his team have. He, and his team, are the most amazing group of contractors I have ever had the pleasure of working with. His prices are very reasonable, and even though we were working with an insurance company, he didn't drive his prices up to take advantage of us, or the insurance company. You don't find that kind of integrity these days. My husband and I are fairly picky people as far as "quality" of work goes. Mainly because we have been let down so many times. But Walter is equally picky when it comes to quality of work and expects nothing short of perfection from his team. Throughout the entire process, he communicated where they were and what was left to finish. He shows up when he says he's going to show up, and his team puts in a full day of work every day. They are kind, professional, and very enjoyable to be around. My husband and I have several large projects left to do in our house, and we will not hesitate to call Walter's Home Improvement.

I would definitely use this company again on other projects. It was a small job to replace a few blown off roof shingles. But it was done professionally and would recommend his services to others.

Walter's Home Improvement did a fantastic job on our Bathroom remodel. He and his crew were very friendly and extremely nice. Mr. Howard was very helpful - when a lighting fixture that I had purchased didn't work, he went to pick one out and I actually liked it better than the one I had purchased! We will be using Walter's Home Improvement for projects in the future!

Walter was easy to work with. He understood this was my project and worked with me on my requests. He has a wonderful team working for him, they are all courteous and friendly. Always on time and respectful.

Walter has done it again! He and his fantastic crew have installed a new sliding glass door and a new exterior door. I will say that these are not simple projects due to the age of my house and for the horrible work that "Harry home owner" have slapped together over the years before this house was ours. Walter has an awesome door guy that worked for hours with Walter to get my door perfect and it's fantastic! My sliding glass door was also a challenge but was easily met by Walter and his team. I highly recommend using his services for any of your home projects, we'll be using him for many years to come!

The best ever. No problems. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful and worked efficiently. Job and clean-up well done. Highly recommended by me.

Walter and his team are experts in their craft. He was the only contractor of 4 which were recommended to discover the issue with my roof. He was the only one to identify and assess the root of the problem. All but walter thought the leaky roof was from vent pipe being improperly sealed. Walter and team diagnosed the issue being caused by section of roofing that has a pitch of less than 3-12 with 3 tab shingles installed. 3 tab shingles are not recommended on roofs with a pitch of 4-12 or less. He also provided an album of pictures proving his claims. He was so confident of the problem being resolved, that he provided a 10 year warranty with the roof. Can't ask for better service.

I had a damaged roof vent cap that needed repairs. Called Walter on Monday and was able to schedule an appointment with him for the second day. He was able to fix the problem and I'm very happy with the quality of his work. Very courteous and professional, I would definitely recommend him.

Walter is a busy man; however, this reflects the high quality of his work. We did have to wait about a month before he could start but once the project began, he and his subcontractors worked efficiently without further delays. The end product was outstanding. My husband and I highly recommend without reservation his excellent work.

Walter and his crew replaced our leaky slate roof with a Timberline asphalt shingle one. They came on time and finished up the work promptly and professionally. They even removed an awning to prevent any damage from falling slates. He was available any time I had questions (which I always do) and I'm sure will stand by the roof for years to come.
