I am a repeat customer because it always goes well with Jarvis, either buying new or repair.
Description of Work: I have used this company for years for both purchasing appliances and for repair. I have always been extremely satisfied with them. I do my research on which appliance I want to buy as far as features and frequency of repair so I consider myself an informed buyer. They have repaired appliances for me in the past, and the most recent was yesterday. Showed up on time, fixed the washer at a fair price.

I called Jarvis and explained that my fridge was not keeping things cold, and the stuff in freezer was thawing out. The light with the temperature was not working. They said they had no technicians available and could send someone out on I can't remember if it was Sat or Mon. I told them I would lose all my food. She asked me to hold and they had tech in area. They sent him out within an hour or so. He had to run for a part, and came back, fridge repaired! They were awesome to work with and responsive. I almost bought new fridge, so they saved me about 2200 bucks, on top of food in fridge for a family of 7. Thanks Jarvis!

We have a warranty on it so there was no charge. Our house is new and we virtually got all our appliances through them. They are an excellent place to buy. We got very good deals. When it came time for service I called them and they were here, fixed the problem and were on their way.
Description of Work: I used Jarvis Appliances to repair our dishwasher. The dishwasher wasn't working at all and he replaced a fuse that was under warranty.

The appointment was easy to schedule and the communication that day was fine. After the technician found the problem, I paid the company the labor and service charge and he said they would get back to me with an estimate. He leveled my washer (for another service fee) at this time. I waited two weeks for an answer and finally called to find out that the 'ticket' was mistakenly closed. They finally did order the part and I scheduled another day for the tech to come out. So he came - and the wrong part was ordered. So! On visit #3, the correct part was finally installed. The tech was very professional and knowledgable, but the company did have a major lack of communication here. However, overall, I would use them again.
Description of Work: The technician diagnosed the problem of a burner in a wall oven not working. It had to do with the power relay (control board).He was able to, also, correctly level my maytag washer for me - something other companies never got right.

Nothing but the highest praise based on this experience. The price competitiveness was excellent. Service couldn't be beat. The range came in when promised. It was easy to coordinate delivery and installation. All employees I spoke with throughout were helpful, knowledgeable and efficient.
Description of Work: Purchased new gas range over the telephone. It was ordered, delivered, converted to propane and installed.

Sales experience was good, though did not get enough advice on how to ensure location of gas line would match the back side of the stove. We had extensive discussions on which model of hood would meet my needs and these were helpful. When the range was delivered, the installers were not able to push it back far enough. I complained that the installation was not satisfactory and might need to return the range if it cost too much to move the gas line. .Instead they sent someone out to try to fit it better. He was able to realign the range with the gas line ang get the stove to push back all the way but damaged the countertop. I also noted the enamel on the grates was damaged. The grates were promptly replaced by the factory. I would still use Jarvis again but focus on how to ensure there is a good match between the appliance I'm considering and if the specs work in my house.

They beat the prices at the big box stores, and were pretty close to the best online prices. But I didn't want to buy a stove online because how would you possibly return it if you weren't happy? Delivered it in a few days, and it works great.

Our dishwasher stopped working so we were looking for a KitchenAid model similar to the one we had. We called Jarvis after looking at some other vendors who could not supply the model requested. The salesman was very helpful over the phone and stayed that evening until we could come in. Even though it was snowing and most places were closing early. He spent a lot of time going over the different models with us and looked up potential rebate offers online. They were able to match a lower price that was quoted to us and give us the rebate. We picked the dishwasher up from the store and installed it ourselves. It was in the store within 2 days and was ready when we arrived for pick up.
Description of Work: Sold us a new dishwasher to replace one that stopped working.

I had purchased an electric range from Jarvis in January, 2008 with a one year warranty. In September, the indicator light for a "hot cook top" began to flicker. I called them and a service technician came to the house the next day to diagnose the problem. He had to order the part (Neon lamp) and came back a week later to fix the problem. The interaction with the service desk and technician was excellent: they were polite, competent and professional.

We knew exactly which electric range we wanted to buy and checked prices at Jarvis and several large retailers. Jarvis dropped their original quote by $300 to match a sale price at one of the big retailers and promptly delivered and installed the range as scheduled. We have bough other major appliances at Jarvis and always have been pleased with their courteous service, excellent prices and deliveries exactly as promised.

The main control on the dryer went out. It took a 4 days to get a service man to come out to diagnose the problem. It took another 4 days to get the new part installed. We are pleased that they fixed the problem but with 4 young children, would have been happier if they had the needed part in stock.

The salesperson at Jarvis was very knowledgeable about commercial grade gas ranges and accessories, helping us choose the Wolf 36'' gas range that they installed in the island of our newly remodeled kitchen. The service department responded very quickly when we encountered a problem with the igniter.

Garbage disposal repair - they told me the wiring in my wall was faulty - hired an electrician who indicated the wiring was fine and it was the disposal. Whirpool mailed me a new disposal and I installed it in five minutes - Jarvis would not refund the price of their service call (was under warranty) or the price of the electrician.

VERY EFFICIENT IN SETTING UP INITIAL SERVICE CALL. DUE TO AGE, WHEN WE MADE THE REPEAT CALL WE THOUGHT THAT A NEW DRYER WAS NECESSARY. THEIR SERVICE TECH SAID MAYBE SOMETHING WAS MISSED, AND THE SECOND SERVICE CALL WOULD BE FREE BECAUSE THEY GUARANTEE THEIR WORK. I ONLY HAD TO PAY FOR PARTS.

TECH WAS PROMPT, AND COMPLETED THE WORK QUICKLY. THIS WAS A SERVICE CALL SET UP THROUGH THE MAYTAG CENTRAL SERVICE LINE. I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE SERVICE OR THE REPAIR TECH.
