Doug from the company was extremely informative regarding how to get started, what to expect, and a ball park figure on how much it would cost. He went above and beyond just the excavation and septic and provided advise regarding visiting the county permit office; and other considerations regarding temporary vs tenant cottage. Doug was informative. We will definitely be doing business with Earl Preston jr as soon as we get to that phase of this project. Oh, and Earl Preston Jr, Inc did not charge a consultation fee which I was extremely surprised considering Doug spent about an hour educating me on setting up temporary housing for my elderly mother. He even told me what to expect and a rough estimate (park figure) on pricing for excavation, well, septic, permitting, etc. This was very much appreciated.

They called right away, we were able to schedule and have the work done very quickly. They were on time did the job and everything went extremely smoothly

Because we have septic systems here, we have to have them cleaned on a regular basis. So I've been using them for quite a few years better than 10. They have me on a call list or a mail list that every two years they let me know that my septic needs to be cleaned. When I make an appointment, they come out. It's in the backyard, so I don't even need to be here. My septic system is in sort of like a green garden and they never mess it up. They come in, do their work and they're gone. As far as the emergency work that I had done, I called them and within two hours they were here. I needed a person to do some Roto-Rooter work because they couldn't do Roto-Rooter type of work. So they called a specialist that they work with and he was out within an hour. He worked for quite a long time to get the pipes free. They're very responsive and very good at what they do.

They were on time and everything went smoothly.

Gene called me as promised to schedule a site visit. We met and Gene promptly returned a quote, which he stated was high due to materials. There was not enough "fill dirt" readily available and he would have to use CR6 from the quarry, Gene could commit to the 3wk lead time the builder had laid out. Equipment (roller, dozer) was delivered the week before and the site pad was completed as promised.

I wanted to dump my septic later rather then sooner. However, the woman I spoke with on the phone, told me if I would do it before a certain date, it would be less expensive since Balto. County was raising rates on the their septic business to dump the waste. I did it sooner and save a few bucks. Thanks!

My goats got in his way a bit, but he was very nice and professional. Remember if you want to use the 10% angie's list coupon- you have to print it out.

I did not know the location of the 2nd tank. Peggy in the office obtained the sketch from Baltimore County showing two septic tanks each with a drywell.

They were very easy to work with- the person on the phone has to juggle a lot in the morning of your service but she handles it all very well ( you have to call in that morning to find out what time your service will occur) . We are new homeowners and the pipe was visible in our of the lawn so the other crew just put us on their list to be a fill in and they easily cut the clean out pipe down to an acceptable level and billed us- so NO more unsightly pipe! NOTE TO ANGIE'S LIST CUST0MERS- you must print out the coupon- they do not honor a verbal mention of angie's list- totally understandable.

I called to tell them my last provider did not know where the septic tank is any longer and I couldn't find it either. The scheduler said she would contact the county to see if they had any plans with it. The owner of the company came out and found the septic tank cover which had grown over with grass and marked it with a flag. I than called to schedule the tank to be pumped and they came out and did it. I talked to the driver and owner of the company and both were helpful and courteous.

Just a septic tank clean out, but great customer service. I forgot to mention the one time 10% off coupon when I made the appointment. Patty was great. I sent her the coupon via e-mail, and it was no problem at all to have the 10% credited back to my card. Reasonably priced. My previous company was getting way out of line with their price increases. Overall a pleasant, seamless job.

Responsive to my emails and calls. The person on the other end of the phone recommended I schedule the cleaning earlier rather than the date I requested. Seems Baltimore County was raising the price for them to dump the waste and it would therefore the extra expense would passed on to me. Saved me $30.00!!! Would use again. Thanks!!

The folks at Whiteford Septic provided me with an appointment several days after my initial email to them through Angie's List. The technician arrived promptly at the expected time and explained what they were going to look at. Once the inspection was completed, they proceeded with pumping out the system. When completed, the technician provided some does/don'ts for managing a septic system and suggested that due to our family size, a follow-up wouldn't be required for ~3-years. Overall, we are very pleased with the service provided by Whiteford Septic and we will happily recommend them to our neighbors and friends.

I knew something was wrong with the septic system but other companies I called were only interested in pumping out the septic tank. Gene Preston was the only on who wanted to get to the bottom of the problem. They squeezed me into their schedule and got the problem fixed quickly and at what I thought was a very reasonable price considering it required bringing in a back-hoe to dig up the pipe.

It went well. It was an extremely cold day and they came anyway. Everything went as expected.

It took a while to schedule a service date due to weather. Once it was scheduled, the crew arrived on time, beginning with the clean out technician, and didn't waste any time. The entire job, which included a drain pipe for two backwash filter discharge nozzles, was finished in less than eight hours. Everyone was extremely professional. Gene Preston, the owner, came by early to get the project off to a great start. My only concerns with the finished work, heavy equipment ruts in the lawn (some excavated soil was used to minimize them) and damage to a bush, had been addressed as exclusions in the proposal.
