Description of Work: Replaced Defrost Sensor and Control Board. The service required two (2) service calls because only the sensor was replaced initially, the issue returned, and the second repair technician found the issue with the control board. Both were faulty, and I appreciated that they tried just the sensor first (which truly was not functioning properly). However, I would have appreciated if the control board was tested during the first service call so that I had the option whether to replace both at the same time or try just the sensor. I may have been able to avoid another service call fee, but at the same time I could have also replaced a part that I did not need to. Therefore, I am happy with this company, and the service technicians seemed very knowledgeable and they performed a pretty thorough diagnosis, minus the aforementioned control board. I would use them again and would also recommend them. This is just some constructive criticism, not a complaint.

+ -1 moreHoffman Sheet metal also installed the HVAC on our addition (a split Fujitsu system (cost not known since it went through a general contractor but over $20K for the system and more for installation. Hoffman is a family owned business. We had problems due to the equipment on and off and finallhy it was determined over a year later that one of the systems was faulty (and upstairs system). They continually helped out and although we were without a working system for many months, they got the system fixed under warranty and delivered a new system upstairs. They are courteous and travel long distances to do their best at a reasonable cost.
Description of Work: Provided and installed a Fujitsu mini-split HVAC system.

+ -1 moreCalled this company after I had made arrangements for another company to come out to diagnose the furnace problem. Company 1 came in the morning and Hoffman came in the afternoon. The first company came out, opened up the furnace, checked the heating cycle (ignition of the flame, start of the blower), determined the blower motor was not working, said it would cost just over $500 to replace it, including a new capcitor, which is standard when a new blower motor is installed. The Company 1 service person did not check the capacitor. Hoffman came out in the afternoon, determined the blower motor was not working, changed the capacitor and the blower motor worked fine.
Description of Work: Came out as a second opinion to diagnose problem with the furnace because there was no heat from the furnace. Checked the heating cycle (ignition of the flame, start of the blower, etc) Like the first opinion, Hoffman determined that the blower motor was not working. Unlike the first opinion, Hoffman checked the capacitor and determined that it was not working. After the capacitor was changed the blower motor worked fine.

+ -1 moreTHEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB WITH THE OUTSIDE UNIT OF THE HOUSE. THE UNIT WORKED PROPERLY WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. A TECHNICIAN WAS SENT OUT A WEEK AFTER INSTALLATION TO MAKE A SMALL ADJUSTMENT. OVERALL THE EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD, AND WE'RE NICE AND COOL IN OUR HOUSE.
Description of Work: INSTALLED MAIN HVAC EXTERIOR UNIT, ALSO FITTED PIPES ON INTERIOR OF HOUSE.
