Description of Work: Quality cleaned large area rugs. They were also contracted to refinish hard wood floors that had 3 narrow areas that had been lightened by the sun over a 10 year period. The individual sent out by the company took more than six days attempting to refinish floors. He left marks and damage from utilizing wrong type of sander. He was always late and on two occasions he didn't show up. No one from the company ever came out to check on the status of work despite numerous calls from us. They promised to send an expert in the area to advise and assist completion of the work. He never showed up. We had a lot of extra out of pocket expenses for the extra time that we couldn't stay in the home. We terminated the contract and hired a different company who completed the job within 3 days. They had to start from the beginning. The new company did an excellent job.

 + 0 moreThe price was similar to other estimates and they met our timeline. However, they subcontracted ALL of the work to a crew of lazy guys that lied to me, complained to me, and performed sloppy work. I expected potomac to supervise and spot problems, but if I did not point it out, they didn't either. After the work was completed we kept noticing spots missing paint or paint spilled on the floor or poor workmanship, etc. When I complained, I was called a deadbeat who does not want to pay the bill.
Description of Work: Knocked down 2 walls, replaced carpet, built two closets, painted several rooms

 + 0 moreAll I know is that when we went for inspection the following occurred: I opened the dishwasher and it fell over, and a nail hole was through the new counter top. Obviously only one coat of paint was used in places, as the old paint color was visible. They neglected to strap down the pipes for the shower, the result being that the knobs moved around and popped out of the wall. There's more but you get the idea. To their little credit, they did send someone back to make some repairs.
Description of Work: We purchased a house where they redid three bathrooms, kitchen, and repainted to get the home ready for sale. We did not contract for the work personally, the selling owner did.

 + -1 moreTHE MALE WORKER DIDN'T LIKE WOMEN. HE WAS RUDE AND NASTY. IT RAINED WHILE THE JOB WAS BEING DONE, SO THE JOB WAS HALF DONE. THE WORKER NEVER COMPLETED THE JOB AND LEFT THE PORCH UNDONE.
Description of Work: INSTALLED A NEW SCREENED PORCH.
